April ‘baby’ showers 2020

Good luck rose, I understand the worry, you have more chance of everything being absolutely perfect though!

Sweden, my nausea comes and goes all day but afternoons and evenings aren’t great here either

Mother, ahh that must have been a shock with the ink! I swear we’re just all on edge at the moment but again it’s understandable that we feel this way

Beclou, you might be more of a POAS addict than me! It’s looking great though!

I currently feel like crap, headache is lingering from the migraine, nausea has been here all evening and I’m
So tired I think I’m even too tired to fall asleep, tomorrow if I wake up with no symptoms, I’m NOT complaining as every time I do I get hit 10 times harder haha

Just had my scan and it was all exactly as it should be! 7 weeks 6 days, heartbeat of 158. I was lying on the bed physically shaking and covering my eyes so I was extemely relieved. We got to hear the heartbeat too which was pretty cool! Mum was definitely more emotional than me. Maybe now I've gotten through this I can take OH to the next scan and not worry that he's going to make his inappropriate jokes (his way of coping with stress) because I'll be a bit less anxious!

Good luck to all you others. Im sorry everyone is feeling either sick or stressed at the moment but we'll all get through it xo

Yay Rose!! So glad to hear everything was good with you’re little one!

Your OH sounds like my OH!

Great news rose!
My dh is like that too, plus he thinks his jokes are funny

He’s going to take some time off work today and take the kids out, I feel bad they’re stuck in at the moment as I don’t want to be pushing the pushchair, plus dd always jumps on the buggy board
He’s managed to cut the grass too and tidied outside and my sister has been round to clean so I feel more organised and happier now I have a tidy house again!

Glad youre feeling happier Star! I totally get how a clean house can make you feel a whole world better.

We actually decided last night to book regular cleaning twice a month as I’m expecting bad morning sickness to start soon and also as I had preeclampsia with DD so we are trying to do everything we can to make everything as least stressful as possible in an effort to prevent it or at least reduce it this time! It can’t come soon enough though as this fatigue has put the cleaning on the back burner and the house it reaching new levels of dirt!

Sweden I agree, when I was pregnant with ds we got a cleaner for 2.5 hrs a week
Ended up keeping her til ds was 6 months old lol until she left me for uni
My sister is going to do it weekly now and we will pay her, it’s one less thing to worry about and I can just keep on top of tidying up after the kids then

Wish someone would come do mine hahaha
I'm exhausted, I had so much to do today, I got a decent but done this morning, then had to take the oldest two for shoe shopping and ds2s hair cut, just got home and my list is still far too long. I'm going to start delegating tasks this evening because I don't want to do much more walking and I've still got packing to do to go to my mum's tomorrow (DH is really happy ds2 is coming with me now as he says I need extra protection now haha) and dinner to make, a dog to walk and a letter to post amongst other stuff. I was sat in Costa as we were early for the hair appointment and I was almost falling asleep

OH no mother, hope you get a break soon
It’s hard isn’t it, i tend to be not too bad in the morning but by 2pm I’m wiped and nausea kicks in for the rest of the evening
The worst time when you’ve got dinner to do and kids to bath and get to bed
How long are you at your mums for?

Oh how I’d love to afford a cleaner! Such a good idea!

Rose I’m really happy your scan was so perfect today ❤️

As for me, I’m worried as o feel like I should have more symptoms by now but other than tiredness and slightly sore boobs, nothing! I was so sick by this point with my son and daughter!

I'm there Friday to Monday. Sunday we have nothing planned so hopefully I'll get to just sit around and watch films with them haha
I've been trying to take it easy, well as easy as you can with kids, but today's been pretty full on. Some days I'm tired before lunch time, others it'll hold off until about 2/3ish

Baby D, I think it's one of those every pregnancy is different things. I've never felt anything this early before, then when I feel fine I panic.

Mother really hope you get a it of a rest at your mums! I can’t remember if you mentioned it before but have you told/will you tell your mum?

BabyD I don’t know but maybe as you’ve had 2 babies before your body is reacting so strongly to the hcg? Maybe that’s complete rubbish but it sounds logical to me!

Thank you. I haven't told her yet and if I can avoid it this weekend I will, I don't want to add anything else to her plate just yet. That's if my body plays ball and I don't go throwing up, otherwise I'll have to tell her so she doesn't think I'm too ill to see my Grandad haha
We aren't as close as we probably should be, so although we can do things together and I can now stay there without any issues, anything too personal is rather awkward. Plus I always feel like I'm saying "hey, I had sex!" When telling a parent :haha:

I'm very nervous as we're telling close family tomorrow, they're all coming round for dinner so it seemed like the perfect opportunity. Not sure what kind of reactions we will get, as it's our 4th! :dohh: x

BabyD, one of my best friends is pregnang too, with her second. She has quite bad symptoms with her first but is 7weeks 2 days now and hasn't really felt anything. She had a scan yesterday and saw a heartbeat so everything is good! Try not to worry too much - as they say, every pregnancy is different!

Mother, I know what you mean about the awkwardness of telling parents, but it didn't stop me rwllinf my mum straight after I took the test. I told her before OH even haha! (he was away for work).

Anyone else have totally messed up eating habits? I'm normally a vegetarian but all I can really tolerate now is meat! It's so weird.

I just want mash, gravy and vegetables.. All the time! Hahaha.

The exhaustion is real today. I wish OH understood a little better just how I'm feeling. :coffee::sleep:

I know what you mean, I'm more worried than ever this time about people's reaction, especially as ds4 is almost 6 so they must have assumed we had stopped now haha

Good luck

I went veggie a few months ago but am just in love with scotch eggs at the moment. I admit I went veggie as an attempt to make some changes to try to get pregnant, I think my body was just stuck in a rut, so I changed it up a bit, so I'm not too worried about adding meat back in.
