Hey Jen,

Porridge has a bit more flavour and a bit more texture, baby rice is awful it really does taste like paper. LOL TBH I think the boxes of cereal are better anyway cos they've got more varieties and flavour. I don't think anyone brand is better than another with stage one cos it's all just pureed stuff. The second stage the heinz ones are better mum's recipe.

But tbh I cldn't tell you which was better or not, on stage one I have some cow & gate stuff baby balence simply because it was given to me free as my mates baby moved on to stage 2 and had loads left. I used to use heinz with son, they do the chocolate pudding, hehe and some exciting deserts. Some interesting main courses, lol son used to love the bacon and beans. HAHA.

My daughter and mummytobe daughter are both Layla Louise. I liked Layla, she'd already chosen it and my middle name is Louise!

Evening Ladies quiet in here again today, Ive had a right busy day, I havent really done much just caught up on all the stuff I should have been doing in the house all week! oh, and snook out for a coffee round a mates I agree the baby rice isnt nice but as my HV says they know no different and to be honest there milk tastes minging anyway! Ive still managed to stick to just rice (for now) buts its so tempting to go mad when you see all the yummy cereals you can get for babys nowadays am gonna hold out for another 3 weeks until he's 3 months then move on to nicer things xx

On the freebies front I got loads of the dried food in my bounty pack, I managed to wangle 2 and you get more stuff from Asda than if you get it from Boots xx

in the bounty pack you got from hospital there was a newborn handbook in there, that has a coupon for a mummy bounty pack, it was a really good one too not the shite I got from Lloyds Pharmacy from emmas diary, there was loads of stuff in it, Juice, few packets of dried food, few jars, nappies, washing powder, fabric sofetner rah rah etc. I got sent another about 2 weeks ago through the post, it said sorry we missed you in hospital so 2 bounty packs it was for me, so i had 2 coupons I then got 1 from Asda and 1 from boots and Asda gave me LOADS of coupons whilst boots gave me the same sample stuff but no coupons (god! when did I turn into my mum ) x
