Morning.. ugh what a night!!!

I fell asleep at about 9.30 and OH tried to wake me to go to bed but I just couldn't move.. i ended up waking at 1am, expressing for 20 mins and then flopping back to sleep..

Amelia was due a feed at 2.30 but I slept until 3.45am, then she fed, got up some wind, changed her nappy, got up some more wind and she still wouldn't settle!!! She ended up falling asleep on my chest and I drifted until 5am.. I was meant to do more expressing but I couldn't keep my eyes open, then Amelia woke at 6.30am and wouldn't settle again.. I felt so useless

My sister bless her ended up looking after her until 9am.. and because I missed my middle of the night expression I ended up getting 250ml in 30 mins Mooooo!!

Now it is time to express again as soon as Shark Fin settles!!!

Ash youre doing amazingly, you are a one woman milking machine and doing an incredible job. I read your stressful routine and dont know how you do it, makes me so glad i can just whop a boob out and job done.

I'm very jealous of all you ladies that can just pop out a boob! It would make leaving the house sooo much easier!

Thankfully my breast pump does come with a battery pack so I can pop into mothercare when out and express, just like women can who want to breast feed in private.. but I'm just too much of a chicken to go out alone at the moment

Has anyone else found that breast feeding/expressing makes you really hungry?!?

Thanks for your kind words ladies, I guess I wasnt coping as well as I should have been yesterday! Graham is much better today and so is Sophie. Today is a new day!

I am looking forward to having dinner at my mums tonight, Pork Chops Mash and Gravy! YUM YUM!!

Has anyone seen that cravendale advert? The one with the cows in the bar that go MILK....... MILK.......MILK?? I have decided that is Sophie

Grr she has just had a feed, she had 50ml, then needed winding, then had another 20ml and has now gone to sleep!! 30ml of my precious milk wasted!


I wish the weather would make up its mind and either be nice or miserable!

My baby has been replace with a little piggy im tellin u she has just eaten and eaten today but hey ho she is young so cant hurt her long as its not tooooo much! She is now asleep and i just waiting for HV to come round they say between 8-5 like i got nothin better to do greaaat!!

Does that mean he is awake at night lol ?

Ive been awake since pretty much the whole bloody night !! Feeding Lucas wasn't the problem it was oh, he was throwing up most of the night and I had to do all feeding, burping, nappy changes etc and go up and down stairs getting drinks for oh. Not impressed !!! Im bloody knackered and ive got to express now then go round to Tescos to get some more huggies.

Is anyone else having problems with pampers nappys or is it just me ?

Started off with Huggies and have had no problems then I changed to naturcare (eco friendly ones) which I hate as they feel really cheap and they leaked. So stopped using them and started on a pack of pampers that i had free OMG 3 nappies in a row have leeked poo all up his back and clothes, is it just me ?!?

I prefer Pampers to Huggies,
I find pampers seem to absorb more than Huggies.
I havnt had any leakage problems, were you using the Pampers size 1 in new baby?
Each to their own though!!

Sophie seems to be making sqeaking noises at the mo, shes asleep, almost like she is struggling to breathe!!?

yes using the newborn ones, im thinking it must be that the huggies perhaps fit him better as everyone ive spoken to either loves or hates each brand for various reasons lol

Lucas makes funny noises sometimes when he is sleeping usually sounds like we've got an owl in the bedroom with us, has it only just started ?

it started just after her feed, she does it now and again but it normally goes away by now! per haps she has some trapped wind or something!?

Melly Amelia does it all the time!! .. when she is feeding and being winded she stops but that is about it! .. it sounds like I have a little bleeting lamb or a squeaking mouse in the room at all times

We went to the GP about it and then to the hospital via GP and no one could give us an answer to why she does it.. but she is a healthy happy Shark Fin so I'm not overly worried.

I also prefer pampers to huggies.. but the best nappies I've found so far (especially for the price) are tesco own brand!

For the first time I'm actually feeling pretty active today! Because my iron levels are so low (last time they were checked they were at 8.4) and I'm on iron tablets for at least another month, my energy levels have been non existent.. But today I've had a quick tidy up of our bedroom, cleaned out the baby bath, top and tail bowl and bath support, put a load of washing on and now I'm just about to express

Sometimes, i am going to keep him later though huge mistake letting him sleep all evening last night was up far to much in night, i think we're just getting to know him and its all so new still, but he is miserable now and keeps looking for milk lol x

I have the same with pampers hun, i thought it was just our little man but obviously not, the newborn pampers are huge on our little one too .. its a nightmare !! x

Wow thats interesting about the nappies as we are using huggies newborn and wees are leaking out almost everytime. not had any poo accidents, but the wees are going all up his back.

Cooper's cord fell off today, it was gross! It was hanging on by a teeny bit and I didn't know whether to pull it off completely or not but then Coop took the decision away from me and pulled it off himself!

We have just been for show and tell at OH's old work place. We also bought one of those mirrors for the car so we can see him in his car seat.

How is everyone?

I'm going to do some facebook stalking and see who I can recognise and get friend requesting...... be warned!!
