Well Leo is nearly 2 weeks old and my god where has the time gone! He was weighed on tuesday and weighed in at 8lb 15 oz..thats 3 oz's MORE than his birth weight! He isa greedy chappy though Hes taking about 4/5 ounces every 4 ish hours now!

Im another mummy for Pampers! I used them on my all my kids and wouldnt use any others. I tried huggies but they leak!

We are doing pretty well with his routine, he pretty much settled into it himself. He has 2 waking times, one around dinner time and another about 8 oclock after his bath...so luckily he sleeps at night.

Oh goes back to work in 11 days and Im dreading it! Its so much easier with 2 of you sharing the workload and Im scared Im gonna go under when hes not here

Hey girlies,

I've found the last read tpost button to the left of the thread, woo-hoo, makes it a darn sight easier to catch up rather than remembering what page I was on, and /or sifting through all the posts to find where I was.

I'm a pampers mummy, although huggies wipes are good. But I found with huggies there would be little crystals like silicone all over my sons bottom when I used them way back when. Pampers have leaked poo all up Olivia's back but i moved up a size and all is fine now. I remember just as my son was coming out of nappies that I was told with nappies it's not so mucht he weight you go by, but the weight indicates how much they can absorb. I don't know how to explain what I mean but basically smaller nappies designed for less poo and wee. And Olivia's poo's have been HUGE! LOL

So she's on hungry baby aptamil now, as she was drinking 6 oz every 3-4 hrs, and with the hungry baby it seems to be 4-5 oz every 3-4 hours. So not much difference but a little better. I haven't managed to get her weighed as the clinic building was being revamped last week, so have to go down this friday to get it all checked out.

Olivia's cotbed arrived day before last and DF was a whizz putting it all up, so she had her first night in her cot last night, seemed to be fine. She's just so tiny in it. LOL.

I have a horrible cold which DF and son kindly gave to me, except mine seems to have come with conjunctivitus, my eyes are agony and sooo watery and gunky it's horrible, and very sore.

Melly I hope all goes well on the 12th hun, Im sorry I didn't know about anything untill very recently I hope your all ok. Olivia has her first jabs on the 12, so I may be crying too. (not to make light but ykwim, hugs.)

Ashley man you really are a super women with all that expressing, I hope you get through it hunni, try and catch 40 winks here and there.

Has anyone heard from hannah, I did txt her but no reply, why is it she's still in hospital, i read somewhere she wasn't feeding (the baby) but is there any particular reason?

Well haven't taken any for a while, but am intending to use my digi cam more often as I now have a mega big memory card on it. But here's a little picture of my baby girl who's growing so fast:

I measured her yesterday she's now 55 cm and her head now measuring 39cm, I have no idea on weight but basically she is now the size my son was when he was born! LMAO! So I'm guessing weighing in at just over 9lb now.

Hey ladies

had the midwife come out today and Arianna is now 7lbs lol OMG what a fatty!!
She didnt lose any weight from birth but she has been taken 4 oz every 4 hrs so they said to give her 3oz but after every oz give her a 10 minute break cos she is just guzzling it without realising that she is full....see how that one goes lol!!!

Is everyone ok???

I would of thought 4oz every 4 hrs was a good feed, seems a bit mean to limit it, how much weight has she gained then, cos 7lb not too big??

well she is 2 weeks on sat n weighed between 6.3 and 6.4 wen born.....

omg............just fed her and she held her bottle up all by herself awwww lol xxx

Awwww Olivia is sooooo cute! Love her little dress.

Girls you have to get some Lavender and Tea Tree bubble bath, its soooooooo lovely. Had a bath in it yesterday and just had another one and I feel soooo good for it. I got mine in Sainsburys. Well OH did so i have no idea how much it cost!

I have no idea about weight gain, Coop will be weighed again on Saturday and they have told me that they expect him to be higher than his birth weight. He was 7lb1 and went down to 7lb when he was weighed on day 5.

My OH is having a whale of a time in the garden with the pressure washer, he's writing "Cooper" on the patio tiles! Bless him

God being a mummy is hard sometimes!!

Amelia was due a feed at 7.30, but by 6.30 she was rooting so I gave her a feed and she happily took it but now she has just puked it all up!! And now she is being really fussy!!

I really wish she would just latch on so I could breastfeed, it drives me crazy having to work out how many ounces etc to give her, making sure she has enough, trying not to waste any milk

It is taking me some getting used to.. all I want is to give my baby girl the very best. God I feel like such a cry baby.. I'm sat trying not to blub! OH has got in from work, had tea and gone to sleep, granted he has been up since 5am but I don't think he realises how miserable it is being without him all day.. Amelia is crying and he should be helping me not getting sleep, especially when he will sleep all night and I will be doing the night feeds and expressing!!

QMTB: While I was breastfeeding for first three weeks I was expressing just 4 oz and she'd have that every 2 hours. But she's a hungry baby. Now on 5oz of hungry baby milk every 3-4 hours.

I think as long as she's taking it and asking for it give it too her. Producing wet and pooey nappies nothing to worry about. Good Luck and well done for sticking with it.

What's best for baby is a happy mummy,I only managed bf for three weeks cos it was so difficult. With Olivia taking so long to feed and wanting it so often. Just carry on doing the best you can hun, as long as your happy amelia will be happy.

Go wake him up for some help, i now it's hard when they've been at work all day but it's just as har to be home all day with baby, plus night feeds plus all day feeds and expressing. You entitled to demand a bit more help hun. Plus BF / expressing is sooo tiring, i know sounds mad but it is, it's abs exhausting, prob why it burns so many calories!

Hey everyone. Ash I know how your feeling with the expressing... Makes me want to give it up pretty much everyday and just get some formula... But I also just want to do what they recommend is best for babies... Although I do have a question for you as for some reason today Athena decided she was going to be clever and actually latch on... Are you still trying to see if she will latch at every feed before giving her the bottle... I know it can be really stressful especially as they start fussing really bad the moment they decide there hungry but I was told to still keep trying as some babies will out of nowhere latch on... Athena is one of these examples although I just tried again and she wouldnt take it at all just wanted her bottle to be poured down her throat (lazy little girl lol)... IDK just thought maybe I would mention it as thats what my Lactation consultant suggested I keep trying...

About the diapers thing... Athena is a Pampers baby... Although we have a bunch of different kinds from the baby shower I had the pampers swaddlers (dont know if you guys have that there) in newborn is the best right now... Although with her poops becoming more and more explosive every day might have to switch to size 1 soon as I was told if they fit into the size 1 to do it as they hold more...

Hmmm dont know what else to talk about other then I thought only little boys were able to shoot pee far enough to get it all over you... My little angel not only covered her changing mat in poo as I was trying to (as quickly as possible) swap the new diaper to under her bum... But as soon as she was done that and I was going to put a clean diaper on her peed ALL over me!!! And then smiled! Evil little girl!!! So now my friend is making a special trip over here after work to pick up the laundry since we don't have a washer and going to the laundromat would take way to much time with a newborn...

Thanks girls, everyone loves her hair lol. She's still having tears on and off tonight, she had a lovely day shopping and slept all through it! Sure it's the poo, shes hardly been trie cycling the legs, boiled water here and there. She sucking lots though, seems to be wanting food constant, don't want her on dummy's though, not sure why!

Nice to see you Rach! Aww bless Olivia is in clothes hehe! Looks so funny cos Layla too small for everything except sleepsuits

Hey girlies,

Ive come to realise the dummy makes Arianna hungry and cry lol so im not givin her it anymore!!
Tried callin her dad and again no answer and told me mum what that person wrote on ma facebook and she went mad and wants to hit them lol go mum!! So neway i sent him a long txt sayin dnt let an idiot who thinks they r funny ruin ur relationship with ur daughter...plus his mum is goin to see him tomorrow so hopefully it will be ok!
I just want him to call and ask how she is, aint spokt to him since last thursday!! Silly man!!!!
