I had trouble for the first couple of days, My midwife says to try putting one of your pillowcases into the moses so that it has your smell

Luckily on day 3 she went in her moses

Dana - get hold of some witchhazel (water version not a gel or anything), jug, cotton balls;

When you wee pour luke warm water over your "bits" too.
Then put witchhazel on cotton ball and hold it against the tear/cut scar.
Do this every time you wee.

Someone passed it on to me, and i could have kissed them! MW also said a bath a day in plain water as women put tooo much salt in and make themselves have infections.

Mine is soo much better now. Get a mirror too, lol, funny as it sounds, my scar was tight and hurting when it should have been getting better - it was the knot on end of stitch very tight causing it to rip my skin! :O Had it snipped away and it's healing.

Wonder why you had individual stitches? I was told they do one major long continuous now (what i got)... Hope your well anyway


right...uhm...here's where she forgets everything lol! OH is back at work today, damnit. It's ok, Layla behaving, and getting stuff done Written out 35 thank you notes so far, and that doesn't include family!

Hmmm Layla drinks between 18-21oz a day, is that too much lol? Melly Sophie is 2 weeks older than her lol and Layla drinking almost same. She's just moved to 4oz, roughly 3-4 hours. Get her weighed tomorrow, she was 7lb 2oz last week, same as birth weight.

Hannah glad to see you home, although I now had about 10 pages to catch up on hehe! Hope little Ava is doing good now, shame you had to stay in that long!

Layla seems to hold her breath a lot, anyone else's babies do this? Mostly on bottle if she goes bit fast, or lets bubbles go, she coughs and holds her breath, then gasps for air to recover. But she has done it not feeding too I can't really take her to the doctors because unless they "see" her do it, it ain't going to help lol!

LOL, I think Sophie was on that a couple of weeks ago, I have been making 6oz bottles up for her, she takes between 4-6 ozs every 3/4 hours,
Only they can tell us how much they want! haha

emily doesn't hold her breath
she has strange fit type things
though especially when she sleep
she's taking 5oz now
and then after a few hours she'll
want more little piggy! and finally
she's not constipated!!
i get 2 or 3 massive poos a day!!


im so glad i didn't have to have
loads of stitches my downstairs
is nearly back to normal still
a little tender but i can actually
have sex without a tub of lube!!


glad to hear everyones ok though
even with naughty little uns!
i hate being alone during the day
with her when she cries it feels
like its my fault
i dont know how single mums cope!

Bad news girls my nan had a mild heart attack this morning!!! She is ok but still i never thought of my nan bein that old, and she fakes alot of illnesses but now its like damn she really is old!!

Aww i cant wait to see if Arianna is a dadies girl...will be cute but i hope not in a way aswell lol!!!

I have finally been able to start working towards bein a yummy mummy lol i can put on make up and straighten my hair....woopwoop!!

Anyone else get bored during the day at all?? I doooo!!

Hey Ladies!

Welcome back Dana... I've missed you SOOOOO much!!!

Jac I hope your Nan is okay

HV came round earlier, weighed Amelia.. she is 9lb 3!! .. So she has lost weight AGAIN! .. Don't I just feel like the worst mum ever!! ..

I have been demand feeding her and sometimes she will go a good 6 hours without a feed but I'm not allowed to do that.

For the next week I have to feed her 60ml every 2 hours! .. So I have 2 hours to feed her, wind her (which can sometimes take up to 45 mins) settle her and express!! Lets just say I'm not going to have any kind of life and I won't be eating/going to the loo/sleeping for the next week

Amelia also keeps puking her feeds up.. like proper projectile.. I try and get dressed everyday but what is the point when they all end up covered in puke!

Bad Bad BAD day!!!

Aww ash...hun i wouldnt worry to much, they told me that its normal for them to loose weight at the beginning specially when breast feeding!!

Every HV and MW is different i have noticed so much...my midwife came when arianna was 11 days old and i said she was takin 4oz and she said drop her back down to 3 and give her breaks between oz's then the HV came and said no give her 5 oz because if she is taking 4 then she may still be hungry and u hae to feed them not starve them....

So hun long as she is eating/drinking and not bein starved then i wudnt worry they are to text book and just like to scare us!! xxx

my hv told me to starve mine!
she said to put an oz more of water
in each feed! so i thought sod that
and fed her normally and gave her water
seperately! says on the back of
the sma tin 'this can cause malnuritisment'
(sp!)
i just go with what feels right!

ash dont worry hunny as long as
she's happy and feeding!!
im just amazed you've stuck with it
for so long! i would have given up
ages ago! you should be proud
of yourself!!!

Well done ash you've done so well, almost three weeks of bm is great and amelia will have benefitted. You do sound quite stressed hunni, a bt over loaded, I don't wanna say stop expressing, but have you thought of topping her up with formula, plse nobody shoot me, but you getting stressed out won't help your supply, you sound so tired and theres no harm in it your doing way over expected for your little princess already!

It's hard to put into words without coming across wrong, but mw & hv always say happy mum happy baby, in other words your just as important as she is. xxxxx

Olivia has been a nightmare real grump and majorly clingy, so with all my deducing, i felt i needed to change my milk powder from aptamil stage 2 to we've gone heinz (formally farleys.) stage 2 in hope she chilld out again.
