Ash awww so happy for you ... glad she is latching i have got a new ELECTRIC breast pump so hope my milk hasnt dried as i havent fed for a bit, but i am determined to try and give him SOME breast milk.

Chel i am soooo jeolous of your 11hour sleep i am lucky if I get 5 or 6 at the moment xx

Mandy... whats your OH playing it tell him straight, i was about to tell my OH to help me more and stop bloody sleeping at night then he did it by himself so i didnt need to say anything lol xx

I sent mine of begining of April and have had a letter saying that there is a system error and it will take at least 6 weeks for my money to go into my account so they said I could pay it into OH's as it would be quicker. Wonder how long it will take now

From 12 - 3.30ish Amelia was feeding from me for 15mins then coming off by herself and being all content and then after about 15mins she would start whining so I kept putting her back to the breast and she would feed again for 15mins.. and it continued like that.

She is now asleep.

I'm now just expressing to empty myself.

Breastfeeding is so fantastic.. getting into a routine will take some getting used to though..

Melanie.. to increase your supply pump whenever you have free time.. the more often you pump the more milk you will have

Is this 15min feeding normal?

is she feeding continously for 15 mins? Cooper can be on the boob for 40 minutes some times but he falls asleep. if he was to feed non stop til he was full, would probably be 105 - 20 mins or so im guessing

Yeah, she has the occasional 30 second break but other than that she is sucking away.

How often does cooper tend to feed?

He is feeding about every 4-5 hours in general, but definite cluster feeding in the evenings. At night he usually feeds at 10pm, 3am, 7am more or less anyway!

I hope she continues to latch on because one of my pump parts has decided to break and I can't get an exchange until tomorrow.. I just hope I can find the receipt!!

Update on me and Leo..........Leos been diagnosed with reflux and is now on Baby gaviscon which seems to be helping him.

Apart from me being tired all the time, things are going well.

He was weighed on monday at 3wks 3d and he weighed in at 10lb 13 oz, little fatty!

Ash I had this, my pump stopped pumping, i've got the agent electric same as you and the little lever thing in the blue handle part wasn't lifting up the white stick thing on the sucker part. I know which bit I mean but I suspect I'm the only one!!! Anyway, I didn't have receipt but boots exchanged it. I took in a bank statement as some sort of proof and they were happy with that but didn't ask I just showed them. So don't worry too much about receipt. X

Melly - ohhh yes i had words with Allan.... grrrrr he didnt end up going out last night which was great... he now understand that i am still a little emotionally all over the place.. and that I NEED his help!!!

Is anyone still kinda all over the place???? Or is it just me?

Allan just came home from work for lunch.... he told me that he is still going out tonight. And to rub salt into the wound he is going out to the local "titty bar" grrrr i am soooooo mad! I tried to talk to him and tell him that i am exhausted and i need his help... he goes i am i am going to work and making money for us blah blah blah... it seemed like everything that i said to him went straight in one ear and straight out the other...... So i eventually just shut up... he left and i decided i would write him the following text message -

"God your frustrating. I would love to sway places with you for a week! Its only been 1 week since i have been doing this whole mother thing alone. Its so hard and demanding! its draining and exhausting. I dont thingk you understand Allan how hard this really is on me. I hate being confined to being a stay at home mum. I love being a mum but i need your help more. I know you gotta work but your second job is a father and a husband. I am trying to do the best that i can babe. I dont wanna stop you having fun but seriously drinking 3 nights a week when i need you at home just isnt fare on me or Layla! I cant do everything you know."

Is that to harsh??????

Aw mandy I really feel for you. It seems like he really doesn't get it. We are on a rollercoaster, one day this week my OH came home and I just burst in to tears. He's out all day on sturday at a stag do and I'm not looking forward to doing this alone for 6 days.

Text is definitely not too harsh, things have to change when there's a baby, it's as simple as that. Have u heard anything back?

Are you exclusively breast feeding or giving bottles of ebm or formula as well? if you are, then arrange a full day out leaving him with layla for hours so he can get a slice of your reality. I think it's all too easy to underestimate what we cope with.
