April mummies baby club :-)

Oh I am so f*cking annoyed!

So yesterday/last night all Amelia did was cry and cry and cry.. I had had enough and was crying myself.. OH had been up since 5am and was knackered and couldn't handle her crying because it was upsetting him.. so he passed her to my sister and stormed off..

My mums husband then followed him and started b*tching at him, telling him to calm the f*ck down blaa blaa.. when in my opinion he did the sensible thing by walking away.. OH was so close to punching him..

My mum has come home from work n told me I'm definitely going to get PND because when Amelia cries I get stressed and upset..

F*cking b*tch ARGHHHHHHHHHH!!! :hissy::hissy::hissy::hissy::hissy:

Aw Ash thats really harsh. Its so natural to get upset when they are upset, mix all these hormones in with tiredness and its no wonder that we all feel like we are hitting a wall at 100mph. Dan did absolutely the right thing, we were just talking about this this morning. Don't doubt yourself darling, you've had such a tough journey so far with the feeding, don't lose confidence. You and Dan are doing a wonderful job. X

Oh no im sure you haven't got pnd :hugs: it is sooooo hard when all they do is cry as it makes you want to cry to.

I read your post about the dummy im sure when you feel able to introduce it you will notice a difference in her. The day before i gave one to lucas i thought i was going into meltdown as he was literally feeding every 45 mins and using me as a dummy, if i left him to cry whilst i tried to get myself together he would get even more angry then it would take me even longer to calm him down !!

The only problem we have now with the dummy is if it falls out he kicks off but we now know which cry is for the dummy and which is for feeding so it has worked out well in the end.

Yesterday lucas was good as gold which i think is because i was in a fairly good mood as i had a trip to the hair salon in the morning so by the time i got home id missed him loads.

Is there anyone that could have her for an hour or two so you can have some me time ? xx

was going to ask when everyone noticed a change in cries? I can't tell Layla's doing any different yet!

:hugs: for you all feeling sad, it's a seriously hard job! reward yourself with something every day/week to give you something to look forward too x

I gave in to the dummy as well, works like a treat. Its one of those things that people really frown upon but we were stuck in a cycle as Cooper was the same as Lucas and sucking in my poor nips for comfort.

I can tell more now when hes crying coz hes windy or hungry, body actions play a big part in that too.

How are all the stressed/sore mummies this morning?

It seems all our little boys like the dummy then!! but it is a godsend when that cry goes through your ears and you feel like your going to go insane! and actually there's evidence that dummies are good for babies ... :happydance:

how often are everyones babies feeding in the night ? we tried a new routine last night x

hope everyones ok x

Layla has a dummy.. She loves it.... She spits it out when she doesnt want it... which is great :) I didnt want to give it to her but she loves it and happily sits there and sucks away for ages before she has had enough and doesnt want it anymore..
It helps her go to sleep and that makes my (and OH of course) alot easiers...

Ashy - your not going to get PHD..... think positively and work your way throught it all with the love and support from you OH and you will be fine..

How is everyone else?

:hi: ladies, Day 2 of being on my own with the baby and todays been much better :) even managed a few hours round town :) just finding i get the eebie jeebies a bit as I'm not used to staying in on my own so much but sure i'l get used to it! Oscars slipping into a routine already too, he only wakes up once a night which is a bonus, he kinda got himself into that from the beginning.

Ash - Sounds like your having a crappy time at the mo! Someone telling you your def gonna get PND sounds really helpful!! I think its natural to get upset when your lo is and you cant find whats wrong with them, if she is doing it a lot have you looked into whether she could have colic? my last baby had that and he cried loads! he settled down when I put him onto solids at 3 months, Our babies are still very young they will be much more settled in a few months :hugs: Good you have got a supportive OH make sure you use him and get some timeout yourself to relax! xx

Fab news Sarah! Day 2 and doing so well, well done you. Clever Oscar getting in to a routine already.

:cake:Whoo Hoo!! :cake: what you got planned then hun? bet you didnt think last year on your 17th you'd be a mummy by your 18th  xx

Awww girls it's quite normal to feel the way some of you are feeling! I also guarantee they'll be a time you shout at your baby or what to throw them out of the window. It happens it's so common. I did it alone with my son and yes there were times when I did want to scream at him and I have done. But all you can do is walk away!

HOwever if anyone does get pnd it's nothing to be ashamed off it happens and it isn't a 'bad' thing. I think you should always make sure you have someone to talk to, and the thing is pnd doesn't have to be extremes of hurting baby or yourself, it can be generally feeling down all the time as tired grabs hold of you!

I'm so lucky this time round I have DF and he's wonderful, although I still do most of it just by default cos thats the way I like it. It won't be long before you babies will be sleeping thorugh the night.

It sounds like two horly feeds through out the night may be due to having day and night mixed up so make sure you ahve a routine, even if it's just getting pyjamma's on and putting them in their sleeping bag or covers. Sometimes it helps if their last bottle is a little bigger if they'll take it, and other baby's really respond to bathtime before bed. Keeping times pretty much the same also helps and making sure they have plenty of light in the daytime are out and about and lots of cuddles and interaction in the daytime also helps tell the difference. It also helpd when they wake for nightime feed to not make eye contact or talk to them, literally just feed and put them back in the cot.

Good Luck girlies, make sure you all have someone to vent to, and if possible get some time to yourself to excercise is always good cos releases endomorphines etc, makes you feel good about yourself. Now summers is here it's nice to take an evening stroll.

I have a parenting journal it's in the parenting section right at the bottom of the main threads.

Olivia is doing well she's defo teething right now and is sufffering for it bless her, so might just ahve a word in hv's ear abt nurofen i know it says not below three months but i think alot of it goes on weight. she's a healthy looking two monther!
