I'd say it's normal, a very good strong heartbeat there. If you believe In the heartbeat old wives tale then this means your having a girl. Although I'm having a girl and hers has always been between 140-150 so I wouldn't read too much into old wives tales :)

my lo's hb was 175 at my 8w3d scan this week. The Dr said it was a great strong beat

Definitely thinking another boy lol

Just thought it was very fast.

I'm pregnant with a boy. In the first trimester his heartbeat was always high, as high as 189. Docs always said it was nice and strong. In the second trimester, it fluctuates from 120-160, always told normal. :)

How cool is that! I need to get myself a doppler! I am just so scared I wont use it correctly and I'll freak myself out!

The baby's heart beat starts out fast in the early stages and it slows down, all the way to adolescence when it has evened out at 60-100. Its completely normal.

My little girl was 180 until birth, she is a very healthy and happy toddler

my scan last week, the heartrate was 175bpm - all fine :)
