Beach Bump Graduates!

Why cant you all move closer to me lol! Great the sleep Hann, Lucas sleeps great, its Harrison who is the nightmare, 5am today, the joy!!!

Had Lucas weighed today, hes 16lb 8 now which is immence considering where he started, he now on 65th percentile compared to the 2nd.
Just got all the 6 - 9 month clothes out, stop growing baby!!

Wish I had more time to read and post. Miss you ladies!
Can't say we have 2 under 2 any more! But doesn't mean life is any easier :( but they're both coming on. Cam's now on 3 word sentences. Cassie's commando crawling and wanting to walk. She's 21lbs now!!! I had her in a 12-18 month outfit yesterday, couldn't believe it. She's now BF longer than Cam which is weird.
Hope everyone's well x

fi I can't believe how old cassie is already!

Han how about Wednesday 21st?

Off to a friends wedding today in London ..... Sooooo excited!

21st is good for me! Yay!
Have a great time at the wedding, weather is cheering up now.

Hi Fi - sounds like you are doing really well!

Bit hungover today oops! Luckily Henry slept 12 hours again so I got sleep. Last night was fun but we were meant to eat and no one wanted to so all I had was a small pitta bread and some hummus. Oh and a cocktail and bottle if wine!! Not great hence feeling a bit fragile today also Annabelle has jumped on my stomach about 5 times which doesn't help!!

Hi ladies,

Crikey hann no wonder you feel a bit worse for wear, i'm terrible with alcohol if i haven't eaten. Glad you had fun though, plenty of water for you today! I am amazed with henry's long sleeps, lucky you! He is sooo different from annabelle isn't he? They sound a lot like Leo and Sophia, i think S will be like annabelle, she seems to always want her mummy too lol. Oh and on your point about siblings helping, I think it's weird they haven't offered but then they dont have kids of their own and have no concept of how knackering it is and how you could do with a night off. Also I think they probably dont have the confidence to look after them by themselves, it's prob quite daunting if you dont have kids...

Caz, how are you feeling now? Must be fab being in your revamped house. I just checked and it would only take me 50 mins to get to you. I could try but i think i'll leave it this time, Sophia is still such a liability, she cries a lot of the day, and i'd probably have to spend most of the time tending to her so wouldnt enjoy it and wouldnt manage to look after Leo as well. When she's a bit more settled though i will definitely do it!

Fi, nice to hear from you, sounds like both babies are getting on well, wow cassie's a big girl!

Mel same for lucas, wow in 6-9 month clothes already and incredible how he's moved up the percentiles. He sounds like a superstar too. Shame Harrison is waking so early.
Maybe we can do a london meet up as well at some point so we can all meet!

Maria, loved the pic of the girls' room on fb, it looks lovely. How's N getting on in her big girls bed?

AFM sorry i haven't posted in a few days, it's been really hectic and i've been trying to get to sleep earlyish. Had a day out with Leo on weds at Gullivers Land as paul was off work so looked after sophia. It was so lovely to spend a whole day with him, we went with my NCT friend and her two boys. Was hard work though as Leo didn't want to go on any rides, bless him i think he was a bit scared! Then yesterday I invited all my old school friends over with their kids, again was pretty hectic but Leo played so nicely with my friend's little girl, and sophia was well behaved (ie she slept the whole time haha) so i actually did get a chance to catch up with them all.

Hi all

Hann, we dont have sibling help either. My brother cant as hes in Oz, i think he would if he was here though, and Alans sister has never offered, not that we are close to her at all, in distance or friendly. Great sleep from Henry, glad you had a lovely evening.

Caz, back settled at home? How are you feeling now? better I hope

Simmy, that was a lovely pic of you and Leo on FB the other day, glad you had a lovley time. Would love to meet up in London sometime.

Fi, lovely to hear from you and glad all is well, cant believe you have a 2 and 10 month old already!

AFM, We have had a lovely moring at local soft play centre, We havent been for ages as its the one place where its really difficult to take both children on my own, but Alan was with us today as hes on nights tonight, mickey and minnie were there and Harrison loved it, he got upset when we had to leave bless him. Everyone is napping now thank goodness so Im taking oppotunity for a few mins to chill!

just ordered THIS for Harrison for christmas! Well hopefully it will give both boys years of entertainment!

Mel - after seeing your Christmas post on FB, it has me writing up a whole list for Katie. I need to get all of the Christmas gifts this year bought and wrapped by the end of November, so I need to get a move on!

Who's LO's are still napping? Up until this week, Katie LOVED her naps. She never gave me a problem. Now for the last three days, she refuses to go down. Nothing has changed in our schedule, so I'm afraid she's just outgrowing the naps. This is the most important time for her to be napping, mommy's exhausted and when baby comes, it's only going to be harder!

Looks fab mel! Wow Xmas presents already. So organised - looks like a good price though, and as you say plenty of play for both of them.

Great present Mel! Not even thought about christmas this year. It will be on a budget though thats for sure!

SB - yes Annabelle still naps, she normally goes down anytime around 11.30/12 and sleeps anything from 1-3 hours, but on average 1.5 hours. She isn't sleeping well at all at night though so she needs it. When Henry was born she suffered a big sleep regression - apparently very common when a baby arrives.

Sb, Leo's naps are hit and miss. Some days he just refuses to go down. I still put him in his bed though, just so he gets some down-time. If he doesn't sleep he just plays up there and chats. I have a stair gate across his door so he just stays in there for an hour or so, quite happy. It's important time for me to chill out or tend to the baby! If he does sleep it takes him a while to get off but he will sleep for around 1.5-2 hours. I don't let him have longer else he won't sleep at night or will wake too early the next morning.

Mel you are so organised! I always try and get presents early - I buy online usually in September/October as I like having it all done - you've got me thinking now!

SB - Ajay still naps. He has about 1.5 hours at nursery and when he is home it's usually two hours and he goes down at 12.45 pm and sleeps until about 3 pm. I heard that on average they stop at 2.5 so I';m hoping Ajay keeps going for a bit longer!

Simmy - no probs about this time, we will see you soon! Sounds like you've had a busy few days, hope you manage to rest a bit this weekend.

Han - yay for Henry's sleeping! It must be wonderful to have him sleep for so long after Annabelle was not a great sleeper.

Quick question from me - does everyone have the sides off the cot now? We still have them on!

So wedding yesterday was AMAZING! My friend looked stunning and the service was lovely, the rest no one knew about..... we went on a river cruise down the thames in an awesome privately hired boat and then stopped in Putney and went to a gorgeous members club somewhere in this park - it was outsanding, goondness only knows how much it cost them! Brandan Block then DJ'ed in the evening, it was so awesome. I too drank far too much though!!!! xxxx

SB, Yes we still nap thank goodness, usually about 130pm and can be anything from 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 hours. I cant see us giving them up anytime soon!

Caz, we have toddler bed now. What I would say is... if its not broke dont fix it, ive wished many a time we could put bars back up lol, seriously H has taken to it really well
Glad you had a lovely time at the wedding.

Hann, we are on a major budget this year two. Harrison wont be getting much else!

Im having dilemmas about going back to work. Im not planning on returning to police but if I wait it out till end of my maternity pay then il end up having to pay it back. Im thinking about getting a part time job now which will at least cover what i get in maternity pay, untill such time as i can start building up massage clients. Its really hard as I wast planning on doing anything till after xmas but if i can get a job to work around Alan then I think it could work..
HR ladies, do you have any idea how much maternity pay i might have to pay back if i resigned at end of my maternity leave?

Wow Caz that wedding sounds incredible! So glad you had a great time.

We put Leo in a toddler bed but only because Sophia was coming along - to be honest if not then we probably would have left it as long as possible - most of the books I've read recommend doing it around 2.5-3 years. As long as Ajay is happy and sleeping well and not trying to climb out, I reckon there's no reason to.

Thanks ladies, I'll keep him in there then! He sleeps well so I can't complain.

Mel - every company is different. There isnt any statutory obligation for you to pay it back but some companies do ask it to be repayed, I've seen that before.

x

Hi all, hope everyone's well. Just wondering if you know of any good children's bank accounts? We had Leo's with northern rock but they've closed down now.

Having a chilled day at my parents today (Paul is away so we're staying here). Leo's at nursery and Sophia is being so grumpy I have to carry her around with me all day. I'm happy to carry her in the sling but that's no good if I want to do certain things like blow drying my hair lol. Also she hates the sling. I'm heading to a sling library next week to see if there's any she doesn't hate!

Hi all!

Simmy - we have Annabelles money in a Hargreaves landsdown isa, you have to choose the funds to put the money into though.

Mel - yep no statutory obligation to pay back, just depends on company policy. If you have yours feel free to send me it and I can take a look. And yes I feel for you with the money thing!

Caz - we have the sides off, only did it to get her to sleep better, it's not worked.
Speaking of which we are still in hell with Annabelle and sleep. It's beyond a joke, she wakes up constantly, I'm talking every 20 minutes. She screams a screams and we go in there and she will get back into bed and look like she's going to sleep and we'll get back into bed and then it will happen again. She doesn't ask for anything really, occasionally a cuddle. She never says if she's feeling sick or in pain. She also does it during the day after her nap, which is getting shorter and shorter, she just wakes literally screaming. I thought it could be night terrors but she's definitely awake. The only thing it could be a nightmares but I don't see how she's getting nightmares that often, teeth but then I would think she would be able to tell us that and I always ask. The only other thing is this sibling sleep regression but she gets so much attention during the day and we've tried all the stuff they say to try for that and its getting no better.
She's getting sleep from 7-11 but is then basically awake constantly from 11-4 then she's sleeping again from 4-6, waking up at 6.15 screaming again! We tried to leave her this morning at 6.15 and just told her to go back to sleep over the monitor but she got so hysterical that she was almost sick - we only left her 2 mins. She's getting a max of one hours sleep during the day as the same thing happens. I literally don't know what to do but I'm finding myself getting annoyed with her because I'm getting no sleep and there's no reason for her doing it. If I knew that she was doing it for a reason it would help but its like she's just crying and doesn't know why. I have no clue what to do with her! Any help would be much appreciated as I'm at my wits end with it. I have now had this for 13 weeks and its just getting worse and worse not better!

Thank goodness, Katie went back to napping! I was worried that she was just outgrowing them, but with everyone saying their toddlers still nap, I kept trying and she went back to it. She even slept in her own bed all night long without coming into our bed or complaining - she laid down wide awake and put herself to sleep. It just cost me some new bedding! lol

Amazing SB - well done her! How are you doing?

Ok day here - work was fine and rushed home to see Ajay and put him to bed. Time has flown by today :) x
