Beach Bump Graduates!

Mel we had a Nipper for the girls when we went to Disneyland (we were out 'till late and Holly was falling asleep in the evening- we wouldn't normally put her in a pushchair obviously!), it's a really good pushchair, I really liked it- you could always sell it on when you're done with it anyway- they tent to keep their value, are you going to get it?

That pushchair is nice Hann- I love that Mamaroo baby thing too, what a bargain getting it for £100 too!

I hope you have a nice time tonight Simmy!

I hope it all goes OK moving back in this weekend Caz!

I'm just trying to keep up, the girls are keeping me busy now it's the summer holidays! We went out this morning as the local children and families centre set up some activities on the green by my house so we popped over and had a play for a bit.
We're trying to get the girls bedroom done, hopefully it should all be done by the middle of next week- I hope so anyway- I can't stand the boxes everywhere!

Bet you are having a lovely time having Holly around Maria! Its nice to be doing fun things with them especially as Holly is at such a nice age so must get really excited.

Simmy - night out yay!!! I have a night with my NCT group next week too, looking forward to it although means I can't do my fitness class so a bit bummed by that but hey ho! I do feel a fair bit better. Pretty tired today as Henry was up at 5am and I did the early shift but just had a 30 min snooze now while they both are. I was woken by the doorbell by the courier delivering my buggy! I didn't mind getting woken for that. Its perfect, exactly what I needed and just so pleased I got it for £90 so cheap! Its also a lovely colour lol.
I bet the one you have Mel is loads better though!
Off to trial it this afternoon on a walk to the park.
Thinking I might suggest a take away tonight as sold a few things on ebay/FB this week so have a tiny bit of money for a treat.

Oh and have the old buggy on ebay, brand new never been used but not in box, put it on for £225 and have 6 watchers. Someone emailed me to say shes interested but would I do it for £180. Brand new they are £350+ so I've gone back and said no. I hope thats not a mistake but £45 is a lot of money to miss out on. There are second hand ones on ebay for £200+ so I am hopefully not being unreasonable and hopefully someone will snap it up!

Simmy enjoy your night out! it will do you the world of good!

Hann, yay for getting your pushchair, we got ours today too yippee! I to to am busy selling bits, baby clothes, pushchairs, tandem, glider chair etc. I hope you get what you want for the obaby, If you dont sell it you can always contact the lady who mad e the offer.

Maria I love how you keep the girls busy! Hows Naomi getting on bless her? Bet you cant wait to get their rooms sorted.

AFM ,We had a lovely day at dinosaur adventure yesterday, it was so hot though, almost too hot but there was lots of shade which helped. Harrison loved it, although its a complete rip off to get in if you dont have clubcard vouchers, £16 for a child and an adult is £11. Yes child more expensive than an adult! crazy!
We used the Gro clock for the 1st time last night. H went to 615am anyway and we had clock set for 630, he hadnt quite grasped it last night but we have been asking him all day about the sun and the stars and he knows the stars now mean to stay in bed so we shall see tomorrow!
Ive had a busy day of running, then studying then making mini cupcakes as my mum is having a family party tomorrow and later im doing a cupcake evening with a friend, its one ive done before but she wanted to go and i was more than happy to join her!
Oh and the pushchair is LUSH! Put just H in it and it wasnt umbalanced at all and lighter than anything else ive had. it fits through our front door no issues and so manouvrable its amazing! Very pleased! x

Glad the pushchair is working out well Mel! I'm sure you'll have lots of lovely days out in it. Aah let us know how H gets on with his gro clock, it seems like you're doing the right thing by mentioning it a lot. Glad dinosaur land was fun, it was ridiculously hot yesterday so no wonder you were roasting. A lot nicer and fresher today but still lovely and sunny (well here anyway).

Hann how did your stroll go in your new buggy? Hopefully the old (new) one will sell, if it doesn't then maybe you can let it go to the woman who made the offer. Are you selling it all together or the carrycot separately?

Maria, sounds like a lovely day, you must be enjoying summer hols with your girls, but i'm sure it's very hectic!

Aarggh, Sophia has slept ALL DAY, she just woke up at 4pm as if it was first thing in the morning! I tried several times to wake her up during the day, and she was still waking for feeds (and then falling asleep again straight after) but i guess she had such a busy night she is knackered. I am absolutely dreading tonight as i know she'll be awake the whole night. And Paul is off to the cricket for the weekend at 6am tomorrow so i wont have any chance to rest... :(

How did your night go Simmy? I thought mine was going to be horrendous when Henry first woke at 11.40, he normally lasts until 12.30 minimum but I put him back to bed at 12 and he slept until 7! First time in ages that he has had just one feed in the night. Really hope it's the start of him doing it again!

Mel - so glad that the buggy is good! I took mine out and it was perfect for what we need it for. The cons of it are that it's heavy with two of them in it, I can't lift it up and down our front garden stairs and the handles don't adjust upwards so its a bit low for me. But really for £90 I can't complain! Annabelle loved being next to Henry and it passed the Henry sleep test in that he happily slept in it!

Better go as got military fitness in 15 mins! :)

Hope the move back goes well Caz

Han wow Henry did amazingly last night! Hope he repeats it tonight for you x

Simmy - hope your night out is fun! Hope Paul is ok with the kids too :)

Mel the dinosaur park sounds awesome!

Maria - how do you come up with ideas for what to do over the holidays - it's such a long time to fill!

So we're home! All went well and Ajay is sleeping. Neel mum was crying so much it was horrible - live a death - and I know she is devastated. I will actually miss them as she does more with Ajay than Neel does and we have a good gossip. This time living win them has been ok.

Early night for us now - bit hear the neighbours in their garden so hoping they're not having a party or anything! x

Evening all, quick one from me as I'm attempting to get an 'early' night!

Caz congrats on finally moving back in, it must feel awesome! Post some pics when you can. Glad to hear things with the MIL have been good :)

Hann yay for a good night's sleep from Henry! Hope you feel better now. Re the buggy, I guess all double buggies are going to be heavy as two children just are heavy. Sounds all round like a good purchase.

Well I am shattered but not as destroyed as I thought I'd be. Sophia slept last night from 8pm to 1.30am which is 5.5 hours - her longest stretch to date! She was then up again at 3.30am though. And Leo was up a fair bit too. Luckily I was staying at my parents and my dad took Leo in the morning so I just had one to deal with.

Also went to a chilled out BBQ/party at my cousin's today, Paul wasn't back yet so I took both kids on my own - my first venture out alone with both of them! It was fine and I'm glad I made myself do it. Pretty easy first outing as it was very local and a lot of my other cousins were there to help.

Tee hee Simmy you and your early nights! Weekend has been fine - Neel's parents are still really upset and it's put a bit of a dampened on things but its ok. We started to plan holidays for the rest of te year which is lovely. Any recommendations? We would like to go abroad - Han did you go somewhere nice with annabelle?

Also got a letter about a two year old development check for Ajay - did anyone else get one of these? x

Caz, sounds like pils are overreacting a tad, no?? If I remember correctly they only live a few doors down... Although I understand they will miss Ajay around 24/7.

We haven't had a letter, but the HV told me we'd get one between the ages of 2 and 3.

How far do you want to go on your hols? We've taken Leo to Turkey and Jamaica. Both were excellent as we stayed at all-inclusive resorts (with First Choice) which is nice with a toddler as there is so much choice of food and so much for them to do.

Caz, I agree with Simmy, does seem a tad over reaction by your MIL bless her, she did know is wasnt permenant right? :)
Anyhow glad you are home, must be lovely after all that time. We took H to a lovely resort in Tennerife last year. I wouldnt go too far if i was you bearing in mind Ajay will have to be on your lap, or do they get their own seat at 2? I dont know actually!

Simmy, great that Sophia had here longest sleep ever, shame about Leo though, is he up quite a bit lately or is it a one off? At least your dad could help.

AFM, we had a really nice weekend at parents, mum had a family party on sat, we had a chippy lunch for about 40 people and all the kids (about 16 of them) had a great time playing together. Harrison had a great time and was a good boy and Lucas was a little star. As soon as we got home yesterday though Harrison turned into a devil child, hes really hitting the twos now, its like dealing with a five year old at times, the way he talks. And talk about stubbon!
Today a quiet day, Alan back at work, we have been out for a walk and played lots at home, im hoping to get a run in later, if im not too tired. Oops better go get the washing in, looks like rain!

Hi girlies!!

Caz yay to being at home! I think your inlaws are a bit over the top - you still live on the same road lol! We went to tenerife with Annabelle last year and it was nice but a bit of a boring resort for us (can't remember which it was but I can find out), we were in Marbella when she was 3 months and that was really nice but mega expensive to eat out. We just came back from Binabeca in Menorca which was lovely, the food out was nice and there were about 8 restaurants in the resort. The beach was a little cove and nice and shallow. The resort of son bou is meant to be really good for families as its got a 5km beach, and we drove through it and there are much more restaurants and bars but more touristy. The only downside to menorca is that the car hire is ridiculously expensive.

Simmy - yay for sleep! Must be something in the water as Henry has slept the past 3 nights 10 hours a time. I am relieved to say the least. Unfortunately although we had 5 good nights of annabelle sleeping she has been back to constant waking again since fri - the night henry started sleeping. You couldn't make it up lol! I really hope that tonight she sleeps and so does he. The thought that I might get more than 3 hours in a row would jusr be amazing.

Mel - sounds like a nice weekend and you've made me want fish and chips lol. Hows the weight loss/exercise going?
I've been good with going to british military although won't be there this thurs as have a night out with nct, already feel guilty about not going! It will be nice to be out though.

Apart from that not much to report. Things are pretty bad at Gregs work, sounds like his boss is having a breakdown of some sort, she owns the company and is making it pretty awful place to work in so Greg has to decide whether to stay there. If he moves jobs now he'll forgo his bonus and we really need the money so if that happens I'll almost definitely have to go back to work, possibly even full time which will be really sad and I hope it doesn't come to it but I have to face the fact that it might :(
Bit of a worry anyway and could do without it because money was tight anyway but now its possibly going to be even worse.

Oh Han I hope Greg sorts stuff out at work - working isn't that bad honestly, you can come and work with us in HR here so you don't have to commute into the city!!!!!

Neel has popped over to see his parents now - I hope they're feeling better today.

I was driving home from work and Neel colected Ajay - I phoned and Neel said do you want to speak to Mummy and he replied "Ajay is busy at the moment"!!!!! Cheek! Then I got home and he said 'Mummy is very pretty' - so cute. x

Lol Caz, hes so funny! Annabelle would be too busy for me too!
I'd love to work with you, that would make it bearable. But do you have HRBP jobs come up often?

Gregs mum was due to be here weds next week until sat so we could go out with my new local friend and her husband, been really looking forward to it, but now gregs dad has a prostate issue and may need his mum to be around next week so she might need to cancel. They can still come to us but I was looking forward to getting out as we never get out = or rather I never do!
Anyway it got me thinking, those of you with siblings, do they ever offer to babysit for you? In the entire time we have had annabelle (and now henry) Gregs little brotjher baby sat for us when annabelle was 5 months but apart from that none of our brothers/sister have volunteered to help out. My sister always says 'i would help but i have XXXX that night' - shes never even changed a nappy, not even one. Is that weird? If it was the other way round I would say I could help so they could get some time out but they never do.
Weird or normal??

Han my sisters would babysit - my sister and mum are having Ajay this Friday as we have a wedding. I'm lucky though. Neel's sister has never offered to help and has never changed a nappy either. Such a shame that you might have to cancel - why doesn't Greg stay in and you go out?! If I hear of any jobs I will let you know - best for you would be Richmond as its not far.

Came home for work today - ajays stomach bug has now hit me and Neel :( he was up half the night and I feel rubbish too x

Oh no Caz how awful! I hate getting stomach bugs its just nasty! I fully expect to get a load of them as soon as Annabelle starts preschool - as she sucks her fingers its virtually impossible to stop her getting these things. Henry has had the new vaccination for rotovirous so at least he won't get that if it comes our way.
Talking of which its vaccination day here again so off to the doctors in an hour. Taking Annabelle to play with her friend while I do it because last time it was a nightmare having her with me. Hopefully she'll be fine there once she realises I'm going!

Def let me know on the job front Caz thank you. I just did a little look at HR jobs round here and there are loads and loads of good opportunities but they are all full time. There is one literally 5 minutes round the corner from me which would be perfect except for that I don't want to start work in the next month and its full time. But the location and job would have been spot on! Typical....

Sorry I haven't been posting! I am reading along though.
We have chosen a bad time to do the girls bedroom, my house is chaos. I love having all of these days out and having Holly home but I miss the routine!
Will post properly soon xx

Hi girls,

Han How are things? Henry's photo on Facebook is just too cute!

Simmy did you have a good day out? I swear Leo and Ajay are twins they look so alike!

Maria it must be manic with both girls at home - hope you're ok.

Still feeling sicky. It's crap now but me as Ajay had a nice day - my mum visited and we spent with time with mil. Quiet night for me now x

Caz so sorry you are still feeling a bit rubbish, glad your mum could help!

I love my little dude, he is such a cutie! And so strong, he can move across the carpet in commando crawl lol - so different to Annabelle was!

Wow that's so early! Would love to see you sometime soon Han when you have time - would be nice to meet Henry :)

Maybe we should try another meet up - Simmy you in? Not sure if anyone else might make it if you're nearby?! x

Would love to meet Caz! Just looked and it would only take me 40 minutes to get to you (you're Ascot aren't you?) - free the next 3 Wednesdays so if you fancy visitors we can get to you?
Oh and happy today as Henry conquered the 12 hour sleep again yay! Of course Annabelle was up about 5 times, its like she stirs and as soon as she stirs she shouts for me, I go in and tell her to go back to sleep and she does! I wish she could just turn over and go back to sleep on her own, so frustrating!

Got the last football session today and possibly seeing a friend later then out with a few of my NCT group tonight. Haven't had a boozy night out in ages so quite exciting
