BFP and overweight?

Ha ha... Cream cakes do not appeal in the slightest at the moment. A pint of milk and a flapjack sounds more like me at present. :)

Nice! Must admit, first tri and i had no sweet tooth - i was into carbs - mash potato, toast etc. It's coming back a bit now but nowhere near as much as before... I had fancy Hotel Chocolate choccies for crimbo and they are still sitting in the drawer! :haha:

At the moment, I'm craving milk, a LOT. And toast with marmalade.

lovely - whatever keeps the nausea at bay is a good thing!!x

:) "Touch wood" I'm not suffering too much, it's more a case of being incredibly hungry.

Ah that's good - i remember getting home from work and having dinner at 5.30 every evening like i was a school child again! The nausea was like travel sickness and was worse from 7-12 weeks, starting petering off last week and although i was  this morning it was a one off and i managed cereal after! when is your scan?x

I'm over weight and I'm worried bout pilein weight on, my mom didn't help by say baby weight is the worst 2 try and loose :(, so I'm eatin healthy and gonna start walkin the dogs for longer and goin swimmin wiv my friends, plus I want a natural birth so I guess a healthy pregnancy will help a lot :) xx

Honestly, I have no idea. All I know is that I'm booked in with the midwife on 3rd May. Apparently she's going to try and get some blood out of me. I've already wished her luck for that. (I don't give it up very easily. DH jokes that I'm a vampire.)

This is my first, and the only contact I had was over the phone, when I had to cancel my cevical smear test appointment, because I had bfp.

Wow you'll be 11 weeks by then! Once i registered with my GP i got a letter confirming date for scan and also the M/W appt so i'm sure you'll get a letter soon. I had my scan at 12+5 and also my bloods taken for combined downs testing.

MW appt is good - its all ticky boxes, family history, have a full bladder as they do a pee test for protein etc. when you are there and take bloods to confirm HIV/Rubella/bloody type - my appt was about 45 mins and then i was outta there!

The bonus of my consultant being an arse are the 2 extra scans

I know it's only early days for me but i've totally gone off sweet things! I used to have yog, fruit & all bran for breakie everyday but i can't face it now! I've been having beans on toast instead nom!

Luckily it fits into slimming world as you can eat as much pasta, potatoes & beans as you like! Yay! :happydance:

Good for you  as for early days... I'm a firm believer in embracing pregnancy when you find out :happydance:

You're very good doing SW. My dad does it so tried to follow it during the IVF but my taste buds were all over the place & I didn't last very long!! They say you have to up your protein in 2nd & third tri so gorging on that now :haha: good for a red day!!x

I love sw! I lost 3 & 1/2 stone before i found out i was pregnant :) I spoke to my leader & she said just to carry on as normal. You don't have to change anything during the whole pregnancy either! It's fab, if you need to eat protein you can have tonnes for free!

Go for you with your red days! I do green as i'm veggie but get loads of protein from beans, lentils & green veggies :) SW is the only eating plan/diet that midwives are happy for you to do while pregnant :) I just hope i don't gain too much...my doc said 10kg is 'normal' that's 22lbs! Eeeeek!

Ahhh you'll be fine Hun. So long as you enjoy your pregnancy try not to worry about the scales too much, my eating has been quite 'normal' and I've not had a fat day since falling pregnant.. Its just the crappy health professionals that make me worry!!

Oooh green days! Can't beat a big plate of quorn chilli & rice! Lush!

As bad as it sounds im counting down to dieting after bubba is born & starting running again xx

Arggggh i just wrote a reply and the internet ate it up!

My brain is all over the place & can't even remember what i wrote!

It's brilliant you haven't had a 'fat' day! I understand you want to get back to dieting/ running (are you mad!? Don't you know exercise is bad for you :haha:) I'm looking forward to it too apart from the running bit as i was doing well. But i can still eat healthily while pregnant & sw will make sure i eat all the right things...it'll be good :)

im overweight and it does worry me a little but I also have it in mind that i must eat. I appear to have lost about 9lbs so far in pregnancy and thats with eating normally and barely any fruit cos I dont really fancy it and I havent had ms either but Im pretty sure I did the same with my first 2 pregnancies.

what will be will be and if baby and me are healthy I can deal with the weight afterwards (again lol)

I am 255 lbs and conceived on the first month trying. Dr told me that I had a 2-3% chance to conceive on my own because of my weight. Well looks like I hit the lottery, guess I should buy a ticket too. ;)

Well i conceived after losing 60lbs, but had a missed m/c. Now i am pregnant again after trying for a year, but only because of clomid..i have pcos

I have PCOS also and after an ectopic pregnancy the doctors told me I would probably never get pregnant on my own. We had two failed IVF's and suddenly got pregnant on our own. I will be ten weeks tomorrow!

me im 5ft 6" in a size 18 on my fourth child all natuarally conceived, it took me to months to conceive this one (the last one!!!!!) i believe you can be overwight and healthy i have 3 kids 2 dogs and have an active job im just not meant to be a size 12!!!

so far nobody has mentioned my weight and I am only 4ft 9" so I would have figured they would. I am hoping that I don't gain too much weight though as I am worried about the extra strain on my body.
