blood on hpt = positive? Hmmm

I got a BFN on 9, 10, and 11DPO, BOAS 8, 10DPO. Tested again on 12DPO with a FRER mid afternoon like 2pm and got a faint line. If you can wait as long as you can until you test. Longer you wait the darker the line. I was just not as confident about a faint line. I needed to see a darker one, so I tested everyday until it got dark.

i have a whole heap of IC but nothing to prick myself with haha.

is getting a razor and slicing myself finger a tiny bit going too far? :/

A pin or needle might be better Disinfect it first though
I used a lil device from a home blood glucose test (bought esp for the occasion) lol

Hi girls have you checked out peeonastick.com?

They do tests there to see the results of blood etc used on hpts.

Their explanation for the positive results is that there is a presence of moisture on the test line and that the blood causes the red colour.

By seeing these, I am guessing that the deep indent that FRER's have "catches" a bit of the red blood cells and causes what looks like a true line. the others that dont have the indent seem to be more reliable.

I could not stop reading this thread yesterday was nearly late picking my older kids up from school lol.
Will be experimenting with husband's blood on frer this evening. He volunteered Just to see if it would produce a line like mine

Quite possibly but for some reason the colour of the line is different from the colour of the blood. Plus mine was rinsed as well

ok so here is my morning experimentation
11 dpo

1-top-First Signal (walmart) urine only (not FMU)
2-middle-First Choice (dollar store) blood and urine (same as above)
3-bottom-IC-blood and then a few drops of saline because it wouldn't pass

all look BFN to me.
I think the BOAS from the other night was a fluke
was really hoping because i had a very strange episode of what i thought was IB

There is no color to the first signal line. It is just shiny white
