I never knew that it meant "thanks", and I used to see people use it on B&B and wonder quite what they meant. Finally I got it . I like it used in that way.

I have to admit I used to dress like a chav when I was like 14 and hang round with loads of chavs got bored after about a year though prob cuz I had a house party and a bunch of the theiving *******s stole from me so that was the end of them days lmao plus I couldnt stand cider, I only wear trackies round the house or up the horse yard now lol

We call a cigarette a fag, often used in the sentence "Im just nipping out for a fag!", whereas in america i gather "fag" is a (not particularly nice) name for a gay bloke?

Oh yes, the north american "fag" is a really nasty name to call someone who is gay. People also call each other "fags" for fun, kind of making fun of someone "your such a fag".

Don't lump us all in with American's though, there's a ton of differences between Canadians, UK-ers and American's too!
