I dont get the drink thing. When people go to a bar or wherever, and say "Can I have a soda?" what do you get? Lemonade???

lol we call it Pop, if you go to a bar and ask for a soda they would give you soda water. lol "gin and soda" would be soda water and gin.

For me soda is more the states.

Where I live we mostly refer to it as pop, but then were not to far from the Canadian border. I started to randomly call it soda when my friend moved to MN from CA.
