I just don't get it, why everybody rushes out on Boxing day to the sales when all you have done all December is shopping:wacko:. I have never done the whole shopping thing, because Boxing Day is still part of Christmas, I love it, all the left over Xmas dinner, kids happy playing with their toys, chocies and dvd just a chilled out lovely day!! It is like the finale of Christmas!! Why would anybody want to be out of the house in the cold trudging around the shops??

So what do you do on Boxing Day?

:flower:

oh my god i high five that!!!

well coz we spend christmas at my mums.
On boxing day thats our xmas day as a foursome!
i cook a christmas dinner turkey the works!
we stay in pjs all day, eat chocolate and watch crap on telly!
and we all have a present that we specially bought each other to save for boxing day!

i would NEVER go to the sales on boxing day!!
i would only go out to get a paper! and even then i go out wearing joggers and hoodie (which is a nono 4 me! i never go out in joggers except for running!)

We stay in too, We go to my grannys

there must be loads of other people who go out on boxing day
i always have done i have enough being cooped up with family for one full day never mind two
i love nosing at all the bargains and getting some nice things :haha:

yer but tbh im always skint by the time it gets to boxing day

I love boxing day! Christmas day has always been just my parents and me and my brother and sister, opening presents, having xmas dinner and watching movies/ playing a board game in the evening, then on Boxing Day we do it all over again, but my grandparents and aunty come round to our house. We also have this tradition where me, my brother and sister have christmas trees in our rooms, and the presents we buy for everyone stay under our trees till boxing day - when everyone arrives, we all go upstairs and sit in each room and hand out presents :) so it's like having two christmasses! Even though I didn't live at home any more last year (moved in with OH in our own house up North) we drove down on Boxing Day and Mum had set up a tree in my old room and we STILL did the tradition, it was great!

I'm a glutton for punishment! Im giving it a miss this year as il have a newborn.

I went to the sales last year on boxing day and I can say one thing !!!
i'll not be bloody doing it again this year !!!! lmao

we go out to lunch with my family
and then in the evening we go round the inlaws
for cards night, his family have always done it
every adult goes with hundreds of pounds and we
play until we run out or we have to sleep

makes for one expensive day :dohh:

I usually hit the sales the day after boxing day but doubt I will do that this year as I will have a newborn. We spend boxing day with our family.

Here the boxing day sales go on for a week or so, but not sure if I'll go or not.

Boxing day is Christmas day again, round to nans, with the same people for the same dinner we had the day before then pub.

Only difference is Darren isn't around on boxing day as there is always a match. This year he will be in Sunderland so I will get dressed and go the pub when Hallie has gone to her dads and wait for him to get back about 10ish.

I suppose people just do different things on Boxing Day but shopping is my nightmare I hate it (clothes shopping) so I just look in awe at the news on Boxing Day when they show people charging into the shops as soon as the door opens. I am usually sat on the couch in my PJ's chocolate all over the place thinking 'thank f*ck I am not there' :haha:

I cant imagine shopping on boxing day! I love chilling out, we have cold meats, bubble n squeek, roasties etc etc and buffet, games and family over oh and boxing day pressies x
