The Champions thread needs updating. Some of the members are still active and some are not.

If you are an old Champion please let me know if you'd still like to be on the list.

If you are interested in becoming a Champion, please let me know. The general guideline is to BFed for 3 months before becoming a Champion. Also, please let me know what "specialties" you would like to help with.

If you are a Champion, old or new, even just helping answer questions on the Champion thread would be helpful! The more views, opinions, and advice we can give, the better we can help!

Thanks, Ladies!!! :flower:

Hey I never got added to the list but they told me I was on! I am happy to carry on!

I suffered from tongue tie issues, mastitus, blocked ducts, you name it I got it lol. Expressing, feeding whilst pregnant xxx

Thanks, hon! Will add you as soon as I update the front page. I'll be doing that after I get a list organized of active Champions.

And thanks for your help with answering questions on the thread! :flower:

I would be up for being a champion...what's the next step?

Dont think i can be a champion can i ??

I had no problems at all ????xx

No problems doesn't mean you can't be a Champion! The only guideline is 3 months BFing. Everyone has challenges of some sort, even if they are little ones. And many times all you have to be able to do is offer encouragement and support.

If you want to be a Champion, Just say "I'll do it!" And tell me if you have any specialties. If not, I'll just put your name down on the general section.

Specialties can be anything from expressing to mastitis to premiee to tandem to c-section, etc etc.

If you want a Champion blinkie, check the front page of the Champions thread. The link is there.

Then, if you can, subscribe to that thread and keep an eye on it. Answer any questions you feel you can when someone asks. And answer any PMs you receive. :flower:

I'd be proud to do it !!!

A bit about us ......

Ermmm....i did expressing for a while...tried to do EBM during the day and BF at night....... found it a real struggle so just went back to BF full time ??

I've obviously weaned onto bottle ( did this at 8 wks ) ???

Done lots of feeding in public ??

And now combi feedding ???

Suppose i could be of help to someone ???

Now.....

GIVE ME MY DAM BLINKIE !!!!!!!!

Actually, that's great. Especially for women that are considering expressing over direct feeding. It helps to have someone that has attempted that.

When you say combi feeding, do you mean formula and breastfeeding or expressing and breastfeeding?

You can get the code for the blinkie off the first page of the Champions thread. :D

I did obviously combi with eBM and BF.....

we are now FF and BF xxx

OOOh just thought of another one....

I'm gonna be going back to work soon and probably carry on doing both so will be able to report back on that too xx

I'll do it :thumbup::flower:

Breastfeeding following C-section
Overcome blocked milk ducts / thrush
Expressing - both pumping and currently hand expressing
Breastfeeding in public

:hugs:

OOoooo, do you think I qualify, TL?

Specialities:
difficulties incurred with first child (cracked, bleeding, blistered nipples)
Latch issues resolved with positioning and watching for proper latch
24 hours of mastitis (caught it early and resolved with frequent feedings from that side)
bf'ing while pregnant
tandem nursing
extended breasfeeding
breastfeeding while co-sleeping

OOh ooh .......i co sleep too !! ( he he )

PS....when i try and copy the blinkie code into my signiture......it just shows as the code rather than the blinkie ????

I would love to be a champion. Issues I dealt with are:

-bf after a c-section
-cracked, bleeding and scabbed over nipples (baby was spitting up my blood after nursing)
-very little colostrum (mw diagnosed this, not self-diagnosis)
-delayed milk (mine came in on day 6)
-having to topup with ebm/formula by finger feeding, tube taped to boob, etc
-low milk supply (I took fenugreek and blessed thistle and used a hospital grade pump to fix this)
-nursing on demand while expressing for donating milk/building up freezer stash
-nursing in public

That's all I can think of for now.

I volunteered several months ago but never heard back.
Specialties: use of an at breast supplementer (pertains to relactation, getting baby back to breast, palate issues, increasing supply and other issues), galactalogues, breastfeeding and combifeeding through low supply, low supply in general (involving baby weight loss and dehydration).
I BF with an at breast supplementer for 7 months but we're now formula free. I could write more, but need to go to work+deal with baby (not in that order).

ETA also latch issues due to breast size, emergency c-section issues (including edema of the breasts), pumps and pumping (not exclusive, but to increase supply and at work), co-sleeping, NIP, cracked nipples, elimination diets/food sensitivity through milk.

I also have more than a passing familiarity and good resources for dealing with posterior tongue tie.

I'll do it if I can help anyone.. Extended breastfeeding(still going in fact), feeding in public and while co-sleeping..

kirsty
xx

I'm happy to help

No specific problems here but I can help with:

- Breastfeeding and Co-sleeping (have just stopped)
- Delayed milk (Day 5)
- Feeding after a Section
- 10% weightloss afterbirth and jaundice
- Feeding in public
- Breastfeeding and reflux

:)

I'll do it!

Specialisms:
- Extended on demand feeding (1+ year)
- Co-sleeping and breastfeeding

Oh - we co-sleep too............don't know how I forgot?
Also back at work and hand expressing whilst away from LO
