How's everyone doing? i haven't been on BnB in ages!!!!!!
Congrats for all the milestones i've missed. harry & i just passed our 21 month bfing milestone, which is great! He only nurses twice a day now (sometimes more) & so far, my new pregnancy (I'm 14 1/2 weeks along now) is going great & no issues with nursing while pregnant, other than a bit of s drop in supply. I am almost certain harry will self wean during this pregnancy though- not sure why, but i just think he will, but I'm happy to keep going for as long as he's happy to, which I guess is what everyone strives for! I've had awful morning sickness this time round & terrible motion sickness too, but i can't wait to get a massive bump again & be 'proper' pregnant, lol.

congrats on the pregnacy Flora, we are weaned on EJ's own choice even though my boobs havent realised it yet lol but thats down to the pregnancy causing the production anyway

Congratulations Fleur! Beautiful milestone How are you finding nursing while pregnant? It's been almost 2 months now since Alyssa self-weaned, and I miss it every day.

umm, yeah it's ok- I'm not having breast or nipple pain, which is a bonus, but do have a heck of a drop in supply & a fussy little man now that my milk's changing over to colostrumy-milky stuff, lol. Somedays he nurses really well, like he used to and other days he'll beg for it, latch on for about 5 seconds, then say 'gone' (despite the fact i can see milky spit all round his mouth) & run off. I would be very surprised if he doesn't self wean before the end of the pregnancy to be honest, which will be sad, but ok, I guess.
Does Alyssa miss it at all, or is she not bothered in the slightest? Do you have a nice little bump yet anna, or lynn? Will you find out the sex, or stay team yellow?

Alyssa doesn't actually miss it I do though! She says it's for Baby Pip now.

aww, bless her. I think i'm too impatient to stay team yellow, lol, but the majority of my real life friends waited so they had the surprise, which is nice

OK girls, this is going to be a bit of a moan I think. I have my period so I'm probably a bit hormonal. We are TTC at the moment and I really thought we might have been in with a chance last month. But it was not to be, that's fine, I know it can take a while. My issue is that OH thinks that my fertility might be affected because of breastfeeding and I am a bit worried about this too because my cycle is a lot different than it was before I had Thomas. I am 36 so I don't have time on my side really. My OH hasn't directly suggested that I wean Thomas but I'm sure that is what he is thinking. And maybe I would get pregnant quicker if I weaned him. But I honestly don't think I would be able to do it. I'm not really looking for advice but just wanted to get it all off my chest.

It took us 6 months of trying (NTNP) to get pregnant with this new one, whereas only 3 months of NTNP with Harry. It'll happen when your body is ready to let it happen... x

hi everyone - long time no speak!

So I decided to stop breastfeeding K last night. Up until 2 weeks ago we were co-sleeping and he was waking several times a night. I was starting to struggle to function for going to work. We got him a big boy car bed and put it in his own room. He LOVES the bed and has been sleeping in it ever since....still waking during the night though! Anyway, I think with the excitement of his new bed he was kind of forgetting to ask for his bedtime BF so I didn't offer and when he did remember I was able to distract him. I was hoping he'd stop getting up during the night for a BF too, but no. Its definately been for comfort when he does this. I've been thinking for a while I was probably going to bring it to an end before he chose too and last night I decided that, whilst I'm on holidays, I'd try refuse him and see what happens. He was upset/annoyed & I just cuddled him reassured him and he went back to sleep both times. I don't know what like he'll be tonight. He fell asleep in his highchair eating his dinner we had a busy day at soft play place with his cousin.

Eve - we are getting on fine. The first couple of nights were hard & although he is still waking during the night he's not asking for a BF & he has even STTN once too I do have one very painful boobie though

Oh Kaybee- I was lucky and had no pain or swelling etc.. when K stopped nursing, I do still have some milk in my left breast though.. it was always the better one anyways. I hope Kaiden sleeps through regularly for you soon! It's such a nice feeling when they finally decide to give mommy some rest

and welcome Rolly. 30 months is an awesome milestone too, wow!

We've just passed our 22 months milestone here, although harry is only nursing once a day now, and even that is just a few minutes. i'm pretty sure my milk has dried up now, but he still likes an afternoon comfort suck and I feel bad saying no and since I'm not in any pain or discomfort, I dont mind letting him... and if my supply picks back up, then fine, but if it doesn't, i imagine he'll be self weaning pretty soon. Either way, i'm ok with it. Got my 20 week scan on 22nd, so hopefully everything's going on okay inside my womb! And then i can say I'm half way at least!

How's everyone doing? i really should check here more often; i'm so lazy sometimes!!!
