Breastfeeding Support - 6 months and beyond!

what a beautiful bf pic <3

btw today was the 3rd day in a row my poor L boob has been neglected so it seems the midday feed may be a thing of the past!

lynnikins, nimbus- love the feeding pictures!! I need to take a more recent one of Emma feeding. I think the most recent one I have is from when she was 16 months. :dohh: I love how peaceful they look when feeding. :cloud9: We all have such beautiful babies. It amazes me. The power of the booby!! :winkwink:

Thanks for your encouragement ladies. I'm glad i've done it now. I've got a friend from work who is on bnb and i'm not sure how she'll react when she see's it but i guess that's not what it's about.

Been a bit of rubbish week for us. We've all been quite poorly and fighting work for time off although i know that we're entitled and have to take it. I guess i'm not fighting for it but i feel incredibly guilty and work in a department with people with very few children. I don't know how i'd cope right now if i wasn't breastfeeding. My poor little boy is full of cold and one minute wants food and the next he doesn't - that's be a lot of waasted money on formula. He's also been in our bed most of the week, soooooo much easier. My DH has mentioned how much of a blessing not having to make up bottles is and appreciates the night feeding i do. Nice to be appreciated. \now along wiht the nasty cold we've got conjunctivitus so i woke this morning looking like i'd been in a fight. Our babe seems to be over the worst of that now though.

What a beautiful avatar, Nimbus! :flower:

Hmmm.... I have been finding it painful nursing Alyssa lately... very tender. She's not biting, I'm just sore. AF was due yesterday. Could I be? I have no clue when I ovulated, so I'm useless at that kind of tracking. I just know my cycles are around 25 days each, but vary from 23 to 28 - or have done since April 2010 when I came off Cerazette. I'm too chicken to test  Any thoughts?

I know pregnancy causes sensitive nipples ? AF does with me sometimes too.

It's lovely to feel appreciated!

I haven't felt this way before AF prior to this though. I find myself wondering if it's just wishful thinking on my part?

Did you say AF was due yesterday? Well.. you think :haha: when do you plan on testing?

Mum2J&Kx2 : Just wanted to say thanks for your blinkie "It's not extended breastfeeding, it's full term breastfeeding" - I've struggled how to describe this to people and having those words is really helpful :)

x

I hate the word extended sounds like its not normal and only an extension of the 6 month limit. full term is proper.

You're welcome Seraphim. :) Cleckner has loads of blinkies and when I seen that one... I wanted it! hehe

:D Will test in a few days I think if still no AF... CD29 now and counting!

Love the Full Term blinkie too!

DF you KNOW if I have a BFP I'll be hounding you for nursing in pregnancy and tandem nursing advice! :)
