Bright New Month, Bright New Cycle! Everyone's Welcome! :)

Morning all!
Summer - that is a looong time away!! I am sure you will have your BFP long before then!! Sorry you are being forced to wait that long!

Prepping - :-( that AF you you especially early, guts. A November BFP will have to do then. Enjoy that wine and sushi!

I am feeling okay today, have the odd patches of nausea during the day, am super hungry a lot of the time, I am having to eat more than usual, have to have breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, pre dinner snack, dinner and sometimes after dinner snack!! Got freaked out a little yesterday, doctors rang me to say my blood work was in and was quite low, turns out though they thought I should be 4.5 weeks, not 3.5 so it should all be fine, have another blood test being taken tomorrow and will find out on tues (monday is a public hol here). I POAS again yesterday and it was way darker so that put my mind at rest.

Im not going to lie to you Prep, I might not have to worry about TTC, but I find it hard not to worry about any strange feeling I get! I should relax a bit after sat when AF is officially late. I guess its first time nerves.

How is everyone else doing? Wonder how doopers and jchics holidays are going.

That would definitely be a freakout if they called you to say it was low. Just sit tight, you'll be fine. Look back in the days when our mothers were pregnant. The main thing they did was wait to see if they missed 2 periods in a row.

Plus, I think you may actually be a couple days further ahead than what FF indicated for you. You did have quite the strong positive on what it labelled as 9dpo. I would expect that more for at least 12dpo. So I would think you're a few days ahead of the game and already sorta kinda past the missed period.

I understand the first timer jitters, but even so, try to relax and go about life as usual. Nothing you can do otherwise anyway. I'm *still* SO excited for you. :D

Yeah I wondered about being a couple of days ahead of FF, but I dont think I am a week and a half ahead. I was only 3 weeks on FF when I had the bloods, so I suspect they would seem low when the dr had put me down as 4.5 weeks based on a 28 day cycle from date of last period. I think I might be close to being officially late. I have a long LP though. Meh anyway, that is all irrelevant - you are right I just have to focus on cooking this little bun :)

How are you feeling today? Are you going to do anything different this cycle?

I'm doing okay today. Can't help but be positive about this cycle as it's gotta happen sometime. :) the only thing I'm doing differently this time is using pre-seed *before* O. Otherwise, going to enjoy ourselves and take it easy.

Excellent plan I think :) Have fun with it. Ironcially i can trace where I think conception occured to a day where my OH and I had a discussion about how anal I was getting and I decided to chill out, threw away my remaining OPKs and decided to see what happened (I think I posted on here about deciding to chill out at the time).

I think taking a relaxed approach helps things :)

I totally read that ^ as "my OH and I had a discussion about anal..." :haha: Had to re-read it as I was wondering how *that* would lead to conception.

Well, as they say, "relax and it will happen". I don't get myself all in a fuss about it anyway so I don't think stress or pressure is a problem -- I'll just carry on this month with lube as my weapon.

6 months. Half a year. If only I knew in the past how not-so-simple it is to get pregnant. :p

Bahahahahahahaha thats so funny, I just about spat out my coffee when I read that!!

I hear yah, I never knew it was so hard to get knocked up either. I am rooting for you this cycle!

What are you up to for the weekend? Anything exciting? We have the RWC Final on Sunday so my street will be in party mode. No sleeping for this poor girl!

Its a long weekend too so no work after today till Tuesday, hurray! Then on Sat next week I leave for the gold coast! I am hanging out so badly for a relax and turn off from work. :)

LoL! well, it was pretty funny to me too! I'll try anything for TTC but was pretty sure that wouldn't work.

Having a long weekend, short work week, then taking off for the gold coast would be super exciting! Bet you'll be floating on a high the whole time (hoping that nasty symptoms don't hit you!)

Nothing exciting for the weekend as far as I know. Practice BDing? haha Likely will get together with some friends for poker and some drinks. Haven't played in a while, it's about time again to take money from friends. :p

Lol, that sounds like fun! I will hopefully be floating on a high, I will be 100% late by then, and will have my second lot of bloods back so they can confirm everything seems normal. I feel so AFlike that I am so convinced that its about to start.

Im looking forward to a sleep in tomorrow! Weather has fined up here now and should be an ace one for getting out and about. Going shopping for some shorts for Gold Coast tomorrow, will have to get cheapies as that wll prob be the only time this summer I get to wear them lol!

That sounds pretty normal to feel like AF is around the corner. Have fun shopping!
Now I want a vacation somewhere. :p It's starting to get cold here!

So you're likely due sometime in July right? What's the weather like around then? Is that your winter? I'm not very familiar with New Zealand... do you get snow at all?

Estimated DD till I have a dating scan is about 29th June. That will be heading towards winter, but we dont get snow in Auckland where I am :) Im just glad I wont be massive during our hottest month which is Feb, I will only have a lil bump by then. That will also be my 30th Birthday month.

Since I will obviously be getting my BFP this month, that'll put me with a due date of the end of July/beginning of August which is smack dab at the hottest time of the year. It can get up to 40 degrees celsius. That will be interesting!

Any time you feel like a bit of snow, you're more than welcome to visit us in January! We'll even let you have the thrilling experience of shovelling the driveway in a snow storm. Woo hoo! :D

Awww thanks, I would feel very special being given that priviledge!

You will def be getting your BFP this month, cos I said so!

Hello all,
Prepping: sorry to hear AF got you - but like you, I am feeling positive about this month.
Waiting2c: so glad that everything is still going well - I have my fingers firmly crossed for you.
Hena: I am so sorry to hear you news - I have no idea what it all means, but obviously anything out of the ordinary is worrying. Lets hope that the testing leads to an intervention that gets you your BFP.
Summer: that is a CRAZY wait for a specialist - CRAZY. Fingers crossed for a BFP before then.
I am looking forward to O in the next 7 days. Just read a really interesting article about drinking one glass of full-fat milk to aid ovulation so I am going to start trying that. It also talked about increasing vegetable protein and decrease meat protein as well as increasing iron through plants not meat - which was good news for me because as a vegetarian I'm constantly being told my diet is the cause of my infertility so it was good to see some science to support the way we eat.
Anyway - we are BDing every second day and once the positive OPK arrives we will BD every day for 5 days or so, then back to every second. Same plan as normal and the doctor tells me that there is not much else to do.
The only other thing I intend to change is drinking more water this month and attempting (though its hard) to eat less sugary foods.
Fingers crossed something works!
Best of luck to everyone else heading towards O. Lets hope we all get a November BFP prepping - how cool would it be if everyone had June/July babies!!!

Oooh that's good to hear! I'm a vegetarian too, and my doctor said as long as my diet is balanced and I have a variety of vitamins, etc. it shouldn't affect fertility, but it's very cool that it could actually improve our chances! (for normal people obviously, not for me :haha:)

It can't hurt though Hena - at least you are taking control of something which has scientific evidence to support its ability to improve fertility for people with ovulation problems. Every little bit helps I say. We've been trying for 12 months with no indication yet that we can conceive so I cling to the little things which make me feel like I'm make a positive difference :flower:
Nice to hear there is another vego out there. When I voiced my concerns that (after every man and their dog told me I had a problem because of diet), my doctor who is Indian, suggested I tell the next person that made that comment to consider the fact that the millions of vegetarians in India don't seem to be having fertility problems! It made me laugh at the time - but its still nice to have some more science to back it up.

Do you intend to raise your children vegetarian too Hena? That is a question that my husband and I keep going back to atm.

Hey all!

1mmcquade - good luck with catching your eggy this month!! Interesting about the dietry info!

Hena - How are you doing? Are things resolving themselves now for you?

Prepping, summer, winter - how are you girls all doing? Must be gearing up for O days again soon!

I am up at 12.30am, NZ has just won the Rugby world cup and seeing as I live close to the stadium there are parties happening everywhere. I am exhausted and feel a bit sick so not really joining in with the celebrations.. such a nana all I want to do is go to sleep!! Here is hoping it doesnt go on all night! I am waking up at 5am every day anyway so ugh!

hey guys...

well it is CD30 today and still no sign of AF! I keep getting "period cramps" and ive been running to the bathroom every 5 minutes as I keep thinking I'm coming on... when I dont have the cramps I have that sort of "wet feeling" down there (sorry tmi). Im not going to consider myself late just yet as I had a 30 day cycle a couple of months ago and i've not really had that regular periods just yet - they have been like 28, 26, 30, 27 - and then this one could be 32 or something. I dont feel that hopeful if im honest. I went to the supermarket today and almost picked up some cheap tests - but then i decided against it.

how is everyone? waiting - sorry to hear you cant sleep properly, all I've heard is about the rugby lol! go new zealand! x

1mm, so have the opks started to become positive yet? That would totally be amazing if all of us ended up with due dates June-Aug. I'll take it even in the heat!

Hena, How are you doing hun?

winter, Are you officially late?!? eek! Feeling anything?

waiting, if it wasn't for the fact that you already know you're pregsky, I would definitely be saying you were based on how you felt on the weekend! Sounds like your body is working overtime getting itself all ready for the bean.

I'm gearing up for fertile time! Wet CM today, pre-seed good to go, mission sperm catcher on for another round.

Was reminded last night of how sweet my DH can be. Was talking to him about baby making just to be sure that he didn't feel like he was under pressure when I get all excited about having a LO and whatnot. Also wanted to reassure him that I do want him other times outside of the fertile week (just in case. LoL). Well, he responded that he doesn't feel under pressure at all and he knows that this is just how I am. When I get interested in a subject, I dive into it full tilt to find out everything I can about it. And of course I would want to talk about it because I'm all excited about it. So he knows that it just wouldn't be me to behave in any other way. He knows me too well. :p
So I get to keep on chatting away on everything from CM consistency, to medical interventions and why I'd like to avoid them at delivery if I can, to breastfeeding. All very sexy subjects as you all know. :haha:
Now all I need is a BFP. LoL
