Bright New Month, Bright New Cycle! Everyone's Welcome! :)

hey girls! how is everyone?.... i feel like i never get chance to come online anymore! been so busy and my internet has been playing up when I have 10 minutes to spare! Ive had the best weekend..kicking off with seeing incubus on friday which was beyond awesome! ive had a fair bit to drink and now its time to calm down! lol

I think I ovulated yesterday which is strange becuase of the length of my last cycle. I though i wouldnt ovulate till at least tuesday but I had quite a lot of ewcm yesterday plus what i believe to be ovulating cramps! maybe im due a shorter cycle this month!

prepping - how are things?? I hope month 6 is lucky for you!

doopers - sorry the witch got you hun! stay strong and positive! x

mcquade - I have my fingers crossed that AF doesnt get you - hope this is your lucky month!

waiting - hope you had a nice holiday? sorry to hear bout the morning sickness! but at least like you said its good sickness, not just being ill!

summer - glad you are feeling better and more positive! :)

welcome newbies! how is everyone!

Hello ladies.
I started spotting this arvo so I think I am out this month. In Australia, my husband and I are now officially classed as having "medically unidentified infertility." I have cried for the last hour. I never thought when we started this journey in 2010 that we would classed as infertile 12 months later but here we are.
Cycle 13 is going to be a dud too cause I am away for study. So I suppose I am keeping my fingers crossed for cycle 14 in December.

Baby dust to everyone else in the 2ww.

1mm, I am so sorry about everything. :hugs: There are plenty of couples out there that are successful beyond 12 months though so try not to put too much focus on those words. Afterall, statistics say that it takes a perfectly healthy couple average a year to get pregnant. Words are just words.

Winter, nice to see you pop in when you can! Hope you got in lots of BDing! Hope it does mean a shorter cycle for you.

Waiting, yay you're back!!!! Missed you hun!
Glad you had fun on your vaca! And yay to being sicky! (Just because of the reason for feeling that way). Hopefully the next few months are kind to you so that it's never full blown morning sickness.

Summer, feeling anything new?

Alrighty, so I've made it through the first week of the 2ww! I'm about 7 or 8dpo now. I've had a couple casual observations.... On friday night it took me a good 4 hrs before I could actually fall asleep because I had these really uncomfortale pains and needed to pee constantly. Weird. And I've been hit by queezy bouts randomly. So that would have been around 5dpo so am trying not to fool myself into thinking it may have been implantation. Just me being silly.
Otherwise, I don't know if there's anything at all to have me thinking this is our month. Told DH that I'm testing Friday morning as there's a girl's night on Friday and I would like to have an idea as to whether I should avoid the jello shots completely. :p
Fingers super crossed.

Hey Everyone!!

Winter - yay for a shorter cycle!! Hopefully that works in your favour! Did you get in lots of BDing??

Morri - Welcome! Nice to have you here, you must be nearing O day now :)

1mmcquade - Im so sorry, but like prepping said, try to not focus too hard on the terminology. That is based on averages. Sorry to hear you miss out on the next one too. We are here for you though, if you never need to rant or a shoulder to cry on.

Prepping - Ooooooh Friday aye, I am counting down the days then! I hope those casual observations amount to something. My main symptom was not being able to sleep so you just never know ;-) Would be super dooper awesome if you get your BFP this month.

Summer - how are things going with you?

Vicky - How are you going along now, so pleased to see everything was okay after you bleed, it must have been a hard few days.

Not feeling too sick today, managed to eat breakfast so am doing better than yesterday. It just comes and goes a bit during the day, I have to try and make sure I eat small amounts regularly to keep it at bay, and i have become a massive ginger beer fan. I am in the process of trying to find a midwife so that I can discuss when I get my scan, I desperately want a dating one, not so much cos i need it dating, but because I just want to see my lil sweatpea in there happily doing its thing.

Glad that you are able to control the sicky by eating small and often. Make sure you are drinking loads of water too.
It would be beyond wonderful I could follow along after you with a bean. That way you can give me the heads up on what to expect at any given time. I'm even excited to see your little bean! You better post pics :D. Hope you're able to get a midwife soon.

Went to my cousin's baby shower on saturday.... I may have had a passing heart tug. It'll happen soon enough I'm sure. All the little baby clothes she unwrapped were beyond cute. :cloud9:

another 10 days to go but at least this gives my oh the time to recover from the jet lag when he come shome on friday :)

Hmmm drink lots of water you say... the only trouble is i am really off water at the moment, even the thought of it makes me feel queasy.. dont know why. Im trying though lol.

Awww dont be sad about your cousins baby shower, you will have one, this will happen for you, I know it will!!

Morri - ooooh excellent timing! Gives you plenty of BD time :)

I think I remember reading somewhere that the quantity of your amniotic fluid is basically decided in the first trimester.... which is why it's all that much more important to keep very well hydrated. Now, I have absolutely no clue where I read that or even whether my memory is anywhere near accurate.... but drinking water is good in general. :haha:

Maybe it would help a little bit to change up your water. You can squeeze a wedge of lemon in it or boil a few slices of ginger in a saucepan of water for ginger tea. (I may be experienced in the art of hydrating when hungover. :winkwink:)

I'm not sad about my cousin's baby shower... it was the first shower I've been to that I wasn't hungover too. LoL And hey, if I have a girl then I'll have lots of pink clothes ready and waiting for her!

Do you think disastrous motor skills may be a sign? So far I've had two crazy oopses tonight. I was putting a carton of chicken broth in the fridge when it just jumped right back off the shelf I put it on, flew in the air, then came crashing down as I'm squeezing it to catch it (therefore having more shoot out everywhere). And just now as I'm pouring a big glass of water, I somehow have it knock over and in my attempt to save it I end up knocking it into the sink where it breaks. Second time of the night that I'm cleaning up a big pool. wtf? :p weird.

Lol disasterous motor skills could be a sign, you just never know :) They say once you get pregnant you get baby brain, it steals all your intellegence. Hate it when that sort of thing happens though and you feel stupid and have to clean up the big mess you just made! My OH did it with a tin of beetroot the other day, i left the kitchen cos I couldnt watch i was so worried about it ending up on the carpet.

I so cant wait for Friday, so super excited for you, I have my heart set on you getting your BFP! I want all the girls in here to get BFP!

Im having a small woe is me moment this arvo, my OH cant have time off work to go to any appointments as he is the only one in the retail store he runs. To get someone to cover him he would have to pay them a few hours and the owner prob wont authorise that when in reality he only needs an hour. Means I have to meet the midwife and probably do my scans without him. Really sucks, I wanted to see his face when we see our baby for the first time.

I had to hold my glass of water on the way to bed with two hands as I was worried it would jump away from me. If this was a symptom, imagine the antics I would get into when pregnant as I bounce off doorways.

I'm sooo sorry to hear about the scheduling issues for DH! :(:(:( I'm sure between the two of you there's something that can be done. It'll all work out. If nothing else, maybe you can get them to record it and put it on dvd. Nothing you need worry yourself about right now. There's still plenty weeks left and lots of time for creativity.

what's "arvo"? Is that a new zealand thing? :p

Lol it's afternoon shortened :) probably is a NZ thing.

Prepping - I laughed out loud when I read this - "arvo" is an Australian thing too!

Sorry to hear your husband will miss the scan Waiting. Hopefully he can catch the next one!

I am still feeling a bit down today. Had a big cry to my husband over skype last night when I told him. He is determined to get himself scanned for everything over the christmas holidays. I hope that it comes to something - its so hard to keep trying when you aren't even sure you CAN have kids in the first place. As least we will feel proactive.

Baby dust.

Awwwww im so sorry you are down. Try bit to think that you might be broken though. Very sweet of your oh to say he will get all the tests done

Well girls...
I think I'm probably only about 4 or 5 dpo so far, so not too much to report
I have had some randomly tender bbs, waking early, and random nausea (at the movies I couldn't even finish my snack it was too bad). But alas, I've had similar symptoms other months so I'm sure they mean very little. Especially this early.

Don't worry waiting, I'm sure you're dh will at least get to see a recording or picture of your scan. :hugs:

Sorry about af mcquade. If it would make you feel more settled make an appt with a specialist. At least then they could answer any of your questions. I know how it feels too... Even though this is only our 7 month of officially trying, along with ntnp it's actually been more like 13 months. It'll happen in time I'm sure.

Prepping, loss of coordination is sometimes listed as a symptom. Only 1 WEEK till testing time

Hi Ladies!

How is everyone doing?
1mm - I am sorry dear....dont worry too much. Remember it says that in 18 months 90% of couples trying to concieve will become prego. Those are very good odds! I am sure nothing is wrong, and if there is? Medical Science is AMAZING and you will have your baby! Keep your chin up because once you start to lose hope, it all goes downhill, ok? SMILE and we are all here for you!
Prep - how many dpo are you?
Waiting - are you excited for your scan? Can they dvd it for your hubby?

Summer/Winter - how are you??

As for me - I am on CD27 and witch was due today and hasnt shown up! I tested on Sunday and it was negative (middle of day) so I am not too hopeful, but I only have an 11 day LP so it could have been a bit early to test. If I dont get AF by Friday I will test. I am getting alot of CM though....like I think my period is coming and its just CM....TMI, sorry....anyway, keep your fingers crossed for me! If not, on to the next cycle!

hey ladies how are we all???

im getting ready for my o week :)

its a hard day for me today my younger brother and his gf are going for there 12week scan today its making me feel abit low but im sure i will get over it....
my mum keep asking when im gonna have one i wanna shout "im trying" lol but we are ttc in secret so lets hope it happens :)

haha my sister is pregnant as well and she already has a nearly 2 year old :haha:

1mm, the good thing is that your OH is at least taking the initiative to get himself checked as well. I've got buckets of baby dust for you!

Summer, hard to say whether 4/5dpo is really to early.... But hey, dreaming about it meaning something is nice. That's what I do every month.

Jchic, oooo keep us posted on AF being MIA!!! All my crossables are crossed for you!
:dust::dust:

Dooper, you'll brew up a little cousin soon enough. :) my cousin's baby is due in december and I get all teary eyed at the thought of holding them for the first time and possibly being in the first few weeks myself.
Buuuut, his sister is still telling me that we need to 'start' trying soon for the same reason. I just tell her that it's not as easy and quick as tv and school made it seem.

Afm, nothing new really. It's funny actually... When I'm in my 1st week of 2ww, I'm full of hope when it's way too early to feel anything. In the second week I'm full of doubt and any 'symptoms' I was feeling disappear. :haha:

p.s. how on earth do you get "arvo" out of afternoon? You have to have a pretty thick accent and maybe some marbles in your mouth. :haha: j/k :D

Hey Hey all!!

Summer - Good luck, I hope this is the month for you, keep us informed of these symtpoms :) When are you thinking of testing??

Jchic - I woke up this morning wondering where you had gotten to! Great to hear from you. I hope AF being MIA is a fantastic sign for you, I too have everything crossed for you!

Doopers - woohoo for o week! Means lots of DTD!! Get that OH of yours into bed at every chance :p Dont worry about your brother and the scan, you will be there yourself in a flash!

Prepping! - Dont you go counting yourself out just yet!! Remember I didnt really have anything symptom wise when I got my BFP, it all doesnt mean much. Just relax into these last few days and then bam BFP :)

Hmmm I am not sure where arvo came from, but its used like all the time round here, how else would you shorten afternoon?

I definitely agree this is all not as easy as TV and school made it out to be, I expected a BFP first month off the pill I thought it was all so likely to happen!

Not much news here today, im just constantly feeling tired and nauseous this week. Hanging out for the weekend already lol. Guess at least it is hump day today :)
