Hey everything! I've searched different topics over the last year on these forums and finally decided to join. My hubby and I have been TTC for a year. We have now started infertility treatments and hoping for a BFP very soon. I have PCOS and hypothyroid and my hubby has had low motility and low morphology. Our plan is now insimination after a monitored clomid cycle.
Just a few pieces of info I have discovered over the last year for all of you that have been trying.
If you haven't had an US to diagnose PCOS, multiple positive OPK's is another sign. I would literally get 7 positives in a row (then I just stopped testing). So a late AF could be a sign that you had a cyst that month. Good news, I have had great luck taking a supplement called Pregnitude (can be bought on Amazon). Twice in the last year when I had a cyst, I took Pregnitude the following month and confirmed ovulation with blood tests. So anyone with PCOS, I would highly recommend getting this.
Also, another supplement that has worked for my hubby and I, Fertilaid for men. His motility went from 16% to 55% (40% is normal) in 3 months. His last analysis also showed low morphology (1% and 3-4% is normal), but we couldn't compare with the first because the labs analyze differently.
So in March I did a round of Clomid; which was unsuccessful, I just got a giant cyst and my cycle lasted 45 days. As of right now our plan is to do a monitored clomid cycle with a trigger shot. The trigger shot seems like a good thing because my body isn't releasing the egg, hence why I get a cyst and don't start my period on time.
I was wondering if anyone has done a monitored clomid cycle with insimination after a diagnosis of PCOS. Or what treatment have you had after a dx of PCOS? Also, I just had my HSG test done, so we do have 1 more chance to conceive naturally. Any stories of BFP after HSG?? Has anyone had multiples after clomid and insimination?? Also, has anyone been put on Synthroid and conceived soon after that?
Thanks for letting me share, I will add, I am an RN so I've been pretty obsessive about finding answers for myself. I'm actually contemplating becoming an NP and specializing in infertility, as much of a struggle this has been, I enjoy learning about everything!
