Canadian Moms & Moms to be!

Those are so cute Vickie! What a great recipe Rach found. I'd love to bake more but I have zero willpower to not eat what I bake. Gotta get better with my eating, I've almost gained back everything I've lost! :hissy:

Suppose that's what happens when you have 5 weddings in one summer, plus a honeymoon and a detestation trip.

I enjoy baking when I can get to it but find making dinner difficult with the interuptions from B. Did I mention the other day that she likes to crawl over to you and stand up by holding onto your pants... well I was preparing some meat and B crawled over to me and pulled herself to standing by using my pant legs and next thing I know I am standing there with my pj pants falling down because she was pulling on them and my hands covered in meat juice.

No life here either. :haha:

Hubby is working UFC tonight so Peyton and I had a bath together around 8:30 and then I put her to bed around 9, but she talked and moved around till almost 9:30.

I should be doing some work but I'm taking a break.

So needless to say, with everything I have had to ... I didn't get the chance to make that witch costume I wanted to make for P. :( Luckily, out of the blue my MIL called and told Nathan she had made a princess dress for P. It's actually beautiful...the pattern is from Tangled. She looks adorable in it so she'll just weaqr that...not that we're doing much.

That sounds really cute Brig!!
Oh and I wanted to let you know there's no rush on my slipper order :) I'm giving one pair to my niece for Christmas and the other one will go in Alia's stocking...so just need them by Christmas :winkwink:

Haha!! Thanks Melissa, but as you already know from FB they are already gone!! :)

Lisa that's freaking hilarious! Why is that not in your journal? Did I miss it? You need to get that in there if it isn't! lol :haha:

Brig I can't wait to see her costume, it sounds gorgeous!

Hello ladies! Just popping in to say hi :) Peter's been working just about nonstop including weekends (what weekends?) so anytime I would normally get on here has been greatly reduced.

I'm not complaining about all the work though, the work (and money) are great, it'd just be nice to get a break occasionally. She's been testing almost nonstop lately and I'm getting frustrated.
Good thing she's cute!

I hope you are all doing wonderful :hugs:

That sounds like a cute outfit Brig.

Hope you both get a break soon Rach.
I don’t think it is in there Rach but I do need to add it.

Anyone else have snow today? We have some here, enough to coat the ground and vehicles.

It is still snowing/hailing here. Suppose I should get my winter tires put on soon...
This weather is making me feel like Halloween is already over and Christmas is almost here.

no snow here thank God

it's cold but sunny (which is a nice break from all the rain)

It snowed in Texas the other day!! Enough to cover the ground though it melted quickly

I'm excited for Christmas, because it means the babies are almost here! We're keeping it pretty low key this year. Gifts only for kids (nieces, nephews), a mini tree and no hosting big parties.

That sounds wise Amanda. my siblings and I are doing a gift exchange using Elfster to run out secret Santa. its pretty neat. for me Xmas is about j now and id be happy if people only got for her and we didn't have to buy for everyone; but I don't see that happening

Crazy that they got snow Vickie! I saw Chris's status updates, she was without power and had like 10-15cm of snow already yesterday. Crazyness!!!

I'm SO not ready for Christmas or Claire's bday this year. I've totally dropped the ball on everything. Claire has got crazy good balance and reflexes, I've had so many people say that I should get her into Gymnastics asap after watching her. P and I gave it some thought and looked into some Gymnastic programs but holy HELL they are expensive!!!

So I think that might be our combined bday/christmas gift to her (we'll get her smaller stuff) and she'll start in March. I'm excited for her to go, she loves stuff like that and the kiddo has zero fear. Also, if she falls or trips she's not one to cry about it. She'll laugh and then keep going, lol.

The program we'll register her in is Parent Included, so we should be able to get a good idea if she likes it or not. If she does we'll continue, if not we'll withdraw and look into another program for her.

I don't like how Isaiah's birthday is so close to Christmas. I'm thinking that once he starts to understand that, I'm going to separate his birthday and Christmas. Christmas can stay the same, but we'll throw a party on his half-birthday instead. His half-birthday is in summer, so he has a lot more choices and opportunity for different party ideas.

Tell me about it! Andrew is Jan 4 and the twins will be somewhere around then too.

Yeah, my brother is January 5 and he HATED it because everyone always combined his Christmas and Birthday presents, so he essentially got "less" than everyone else did for their birthday's.

Isaiah is December 1, so a few weeks before Christmas, but still close enough that people like to combine his gifts.

Claire is 5 days before Christmas. My bday is Feb 4th and if it was something really big that I wanted my parents would combine stuff for me.

Everyone for Claire has been awesome with not combining her birthday and Christmas, we're lucky to have a good family.

my sis and my dad are both dec 16 (so 9 days before) we never ever combine their gifts. i have always given the option to my sis for 1 $100 gift or 2 $50 gifts... that way if she wanted something bigger i would do that for her.

I think gymnastics is a fantastic idea Tiff!

I want to get Hannah in (if we can afford it ) when we get a car  It's to hard to get to on a bus :(

I think it will be a fantastic gift, and yes they are very expensive.

My brother always had his birthday and Christmas combined (2 days after Christmas). I don't think he minded the gifts so much but not having a special day of his own if that makes sense, which I know Tiff always does a big party for Claire (because we always go )
