Canadian Moms & Moms to be!

 The reason she's lasted as long as she has is her total lack of being able to adapt with change.   Well that and she was such a horrible sleeper for SO LONG that I've been hesitant to rock the boat even slightly. :angelnot:

Hugs Tiff - glad you are feeling better.

J did go back to sleep, but i decided it was a good time to join her LOL

Tried j on barley cereal this morning, mixed with apples&blueberries. it went pretty good and she opened her mouth for a few bites. so progress....

Headed to kindermusik in an hour. but we are still both in our pj's and its gonna take another cup of tea, before i even consider getting dressed LOL

Sleep here is getting worse and worse... getting the end of my rope....

Tiff - when we transitioned Edward we also had him change room so it was a crazy big change for him. What we did was include him in everything and make it super exciting. He chose his wall color, bedding, even his bed. He even "helped" daddy build the bed.

I know that you guys aren't going that far, but it might be more fun and exciting for C if she helps "design" her "big girl bed". I know that Edward responded very well to that. By the time it was all done and he could sleep in it, he could hardly wait.

:hugs: terri. i didn't realize you were still having troubles with little E sleeping. I hope it eases up for you (and I) shortly.

Sorry about the sleep deprivation Terri :hugs:

Hope you find the perfect tree Vickie :D

Tiff I'm so glad you're feeling better!! I've had a cold threatening me for the past three days but not much has come of it....yet. I have to move Alia to a big girl bed soon too  And she has to change rooms....I'm petrified.

P.S. Tiff I see toddler beds on kijiji all the time for like $30-40 :) That's where I'd get one if I was going that route, but we need the crib and mattress for the new baby so we just got a twin bed that Alia can grow into.

Thanks guys! Those are awesome suggestions! We were going to go on Kijiji but it was a $30 difference between used and brand new so P wants brand new. He has a thing about used beds? :hugs: Even though it'd be our mattress that we'd be using.

Awww Terri! :( I remember those sleep depraved nights far too well, and I wasn't having to run after a toddler at the same time. :( :( :( Anything we can help potentially with?

:hugs: Terri. Hope you get some good sleep soon.

Good luck with the tree hunt Vickie, hope you find the perfect one.

Glad to hear you are feeling better Tiff.
Hope the transitions goes smoothly for Claire.

Hope nothing more comes of the cold Melissa.

:hugs: T- Dawg! I feel ya!

Tiff - You are nuts hahah. I can't believe you somehow lasted this long with her in the crib. :D Helena climbed out at a stupid 9 months old or something lol. She will be ok! Helena HATES change too. Like one time Brian had to pick her up from school in a different car and she refused to get in and literally screamed for 2 hours once she got home because she wanted to go back and do it over with our car. Nut job! haha. You may have to just endure some shitty nights :( but she will sleep in it!

Sara - I'm glad she ate some cereal for you! That actually sounds quite delicious! lol

You know Tiff, the bed change wasn't as bad as I expected. I actually kept the crib in his room for a couple weeks and if he escaped the bed two times, he had to stay in his crib. He loved his crib before, but once he had the option of a big bed, he no longer wanted the crib. Naps took a little longer than nighttime, but overall not too scary of a transition. I'm much more afraid of future potty training.

Hi ladies! Just popping on to say hi! :hi:

I've had a pretty crazy last couple days and you chatter boxes are impossible to catch up on.

But big :hugs: to those who might need them, and those who are sick and exhausted. :hugs:

Alora is just getting over the stomach bug so I'm pretty wiped out. :( Saw Breaking Dawn last night though which was an AWESOME movie IMO. :D

I hope you had a good week, and an even better weekend!

thanks everyone... nothing really to get help with, it's just the standard no sleep crap that I seem to have to deal with with my babies. At least this one slept for the first few months.

I'm sure in a few more months this hell will be a distant memory and I'll think that having another one is a good idea

Apparently Edmonton babies get one hour less sleep than other babies. Elliot should be having his sleep study right away.

THAT is VERY interesting Wendy... if that's the average then it's my kids that are causing Edmonton's numbers to be low because THEY DON'T SLEEP.

I just got Eric down for his FIRST NAP TODAY!!!! AGGGGGGG!!!!

Hope you get some rest this weekend Kate.

Do you know why they get an hour less Wendy?

I think there are some sleep issues with our last batch of babies it seems... Hopefully the next batch sleep better.
Anyone else getting broody? I don't want to have another baby right now, but I think once we move and I've been back to work for awhile I would like to have another. Need to get my health sorted though so I don't get put out of work again. I wouldn't quote me on all of this though because it may change as B's mood changes, right now she is happily playing on her own and cuddly in between.

Oh Lisa, I am always broody. :haha:

In a way, its a good thing hubby is snipped otherwise I would be ALL over him right now!

I think it has something to do with all the plants out east of Edmonton.
Elliot is participating in a sleep study to find out why, so if I get any answers, I will come back and let you know! :D
