Canadian Moms & Moms to be!

Nathan's grandpa would make an EXCELLENT Santa!! He has a nice white beard and hair, kind eyes and glasses!!!
Actually I have a picture book that I made for Alia and one of the pictures is her with Santa last year and every time she sees it she says "papa"...which is her name for Nathan's grandpa

Bedtime with Simon this evening:

"I sorry, I just can't sleep. I'm too scared."
Cuddles, two stories, and much love later he goes back to his room, only to emerge minutes later announcing:
"I can't go to bed. I'm too e'cited."
No reasons have yet been given for being either scared or "e'cited", but again cuddles, reassurance, etc, back into bed and....
"I just can't sleep. I CAN'T! I am too funny. Funny and scared and e'cited."

Okay, mama's getting the wine out.

hahahaha fake santa... ya the guys at our mall all have nice authentic looking beards and hair. I wonder how much they get paid, they'd have to keep the beard and hair all year to keep it the right length.

Actually. Since I am an expert in Santas, I can answer this.

Most Santa's shave right after Christmas and start growing in the summer :)
They get paid a pretty good wage, usually starting at 25 bucks an hour. If they do private parties and things, they can get 60 bucks an hour!

The company I worked for, which staffs all Edmonton malls, has only real beard Santas. I have actually approached Santa looking men and tried to recruit them  because its hard to find them! I want B to be Santa when he is older! :)

And yup, Elliot's dad is Father Christmas :haha:
Got my BFP on Boxing Day, and got knocked up while elfing! My last period actually ended my first elf shift

This made me laugh out loud for real

I get
"IM POOPIN"
"MY POOP IS COMING OUT"

She holds her poop till I shut the door. Every. Night.

Hannah spent her evening screaming because there wasn't a Christmas movie tonight (she did however get to decorate salt dough ornaments for an hour before bed )

I sure hope her temperament improves after she gets over this cold because she has been awful the last few days

Simon is going to be a handful as a teenager Sarah

oh man Wendy that would drive me up the wall!

haha Jasmines excuse usually has something to do with her babies... She is a baby finatic haha, she has at least 10 babies, and she will look after bears and stuff like babies too. I find bears and babies all over the house randomly with blankets etc all tucked in. There is a baby and a bear tucked in in our bed tonight LOL

Andrew has a bottle of water and cordless nightlight (from IKEA) on his night stand and I can see in the video monitor that he will throw his water bottle or nightlight across the room and then cry "water mommy water light light mommy" :dohh:

Oh the things i have to look forward to!

I just changed J's diaper.... sit her in her CON and write an email... and i can hear the poop accross the room :grr: bet you girls don't miss that! LOL

Looks like we may be in for another trip back to the hospital tonight. Zoe just woke screaming and crying uncontrollably, refusing to drink, coughing, gagging, dry heaving, almost vomiting, and when you tell her it's okay, she cries harder. She says her nose, throat and chest feel yucky. I REALLY don't want to go back to the hospital.

Isaiah's excuse every night is that he has to pee every 5 minutes, and then his toy that he takes to bed changes every 5 minutes, and then he forgot to put away MY shoes in the closet, can't forget that his water is in the wrong cup. He has an ever changing excuse.

These kids are hilarious! I wonder what Aoife's excuse will be...

I hope you can avoid the hospital and that she feels better soon.

Hope Zoe feels better soon Brandi!

Elyse is pretty good about bedtime. Admittedly, I miss a lot of them because I work evenings.. I swear when I have to do the bedtime routine solo, all hell breaks loose lol. I mean she doesn't do anything extreme but we usually end up cuddling watching a movie or in my bed, when Andrew has her in her own bed no fuss no problems at like 8pm every night  I actually hate to admit it but he has a HUGE edge on me in that area with Elyse! :shy:

And all of you fabric fiends need to come visit me in Hamilton  We have the largest fabric & textile district in Canada... and I grew up on the street right beside it lol. It's a whole street full of fabric stores, antique shops, small restaurants.. stuff like that. It's called Ottawa Street & the first Tim Horton's store is there too (though it's nothing special lol. No drive thru, no fun stuff really... but whenever I go there people are taking pictures with the heritage plaque and stuff)

I love these kids, they are so cute. They aren't allowed to teach B their tricks though, she has enough of her own at 9 months.

Tasha, it's just because she wants the extra cuddle time with mommy.

Hope Zoe is feeling better.

Just wait till she is 2 hahaha... You will feel like they spend every second of the day thinking of new ways to foil you.

Apparently 3 brings on new, innovative ways from 2 as well. Isaiah will be 3 on Friday...not too sure I'm looking forward to his new excuses.

That reminds me, maybe I should get on getting him a gift.

threes are awful

And sorry Lisa but they seem to learn no matter what you do :haha:

Thankfully she is too short because she's trying to climb onto the couch and coffee table as well as her little piano so she can get to other stuff. Last night she dropped to her knees and threw her body back because she wasn't allowed to play with the dog's toys. She also watches you stuff the remote behind the cushion and then goes for it when you're not looking. I swear she doesn't realise she's only 9 months! She puts on the cutesy to make you think she's being good and then takes off to do something she knows she's not supposed to.
