Canadian Moms & Moms to be!

Good luck with the cakle Brandi.

Yay for a new purple laptop Tasha.
I think I'm gonna have to invest in a new one because mine just died again.

Love the upset santa pics. They are sad but you can't help but think they are cute.

Brandi - the wilton pan at bulk barn will come with decorating instructions.... you just get the few differrent colours of icing u need, and a star tip and basically colour the cake. Very easy.

also if you look on youtube, im sure there will be a video (likely from wilton) on how to do a character pan. You'll do great!

Tim has come down with death... so im just waiting for me and the kid to catch it :(

Uuugh Sara I am going to cross everything possible that it isn't what's going around in our house. :( I think I'm catching it AGAIN :growlmad: but I'm loading up on Oil of Oregano and Cold F/X so I'm praying it skips me this round. I can't friggin' get away from it!

I get sick, then P gets run down trying to look after Claire and I... then I get better and him and Claire get sick and I get run down trying to look after them. :dohh:

it sounds like actual death brandi. Tim is a lot of things, but a sissy when he's sick is not one of them LOL. There is no way if i looked and felt like he does id go to work today, but he left at 7:30 as usual.... Im suprised he didnt take the cough syrup with him!

Honestly if i catch it - meh.... but i dont know if i could handle J hacking and barking like he is :(

Ouch. Hope he feels better quickly and that you and J avoid it.

I talked to Zoe's teacher briefly yesterday and she told me it was a good thing that Zoe wasn't at school right now. Apparently two Kindergarten classes have had all student go through Norwalk since Zoe was gone to Florida, and it's just hitting her class now.

Oh, speaking of school, my school called this morning and have asked me to come in next Thursday to discuss my appeal. I hope it's good news because I'd rather not go through with a lawsuit, although I am prepared to do so.

glad zoe is staying home and healthy, i hope things go good at your meeting.

J just went down for her nap, and im gonna jump in the shower and then we are off for lunch and to the EYC. then we have to go to IL's to take pics of their RV so i can put it on Kijiji. i'll show you the new one they just bought!

this is a pic of the actual unit! im excited, i think it will be great for them and cool if we borrow it LOL

:hugs: Sara I hope T feels better soon and Jadyn and you don't catch it.

I overdid it yesterday I guess and my cold is freaking worse today than it was yesterday. :growlmad: I still feel better than I did Sunday or Monday though so I guess that's something

Hope you can get the bugs out of your house Tiff :(

I am dreading it this winter because I catch everything Hannah does  Stan however seems to miss it all somehow

Ugh, isn't that the worst Vickie?

Wow, that RV looks great Sara! Hope J goes down for you and that Tim feels better soon. What a trooper going into work!

I'm not so good at decorating cakes either. :haha: Even with a guide I still have no artistic ability. I can do bento stuff but give me icing and I'm useless...except for eating it of course! :smug:

The cupcakes you did for Claire's first birthday looked great! Much better than my attempts with the icing went :haha:

I can cook but decorating is not my forte either

I forgot about those! :haha: Yeah that wasn't too bad. I'm thinking of the star tipped ones where you do a dot in each colour etc. Like Kate's Elmo cake for Alora!

Not sure I'd have the patience for that.

I am not artistic at all unfrotunately.

Hope T feels better soon Sara, and you and J don't get it.

Hope you're not getting sick again Tiff. :hugs:

Hope you and H feel better soon Vickie.

Lastly I hope you all don't send your colds this way.

Good luck at your meeting Brandi.

Just got back from a visit to our new science centre. They have such a great space called the Creative Kids Play Museum. The boys went crazy in there.
I think we are going to need a membership..... :)

:growlmad:
Are you guys freakin' serious?!
Parents cop out on birthday parties for little kids?!!!
Okay, that is beyond just rude. I don't have a problem with people RSVPing no - that's their prerogative and not an etiquette breach - they responded that they couldn't make it. Fair enough. But to ignore an invite, or worse, to say yes, then not show? Mind-bogglingly rude! :nope:

^couldnt agree more!

I always have a heck of a time hearing back from people for my girls' birthdays. Half the time, people don't respond at all so I just assume they're not coming.
Its very, VERY frustrating. And I always feel bad for the kids too, even though they don't care... YET... some day they will. :sad1:

Sara - that RV looks awesome!

And BIG :hugs: to all the sick Mommies, Daddies and babies. :(

Yeah the cakes actually aren't hard, at least I didn't find they required too much artistic abilities (well, Elmo cake was hard because I had to do him completely freehand ) but the hardest part for me is how sore my hand gets! Having to do those stars and the trim, by the end... my hand felt so stiff and cramped, it was awful!
No wonder my Mom's old "cake lady" who used to bake our cakes when I was a kid, stopped doing it because she got tennis elbow!
