Canadian Moms & Moms to be!

AND most importantly

Happy THIRD Birthday Claire!!! :flower: I hope that you are all having an amazing day :hugs:

Oh happy birthday to Claire! I think I said that on FB but in case I forgot! :cake:

Awww thanks guys! She's had a great day so far, which will only get better once my parents and P's sister/boyfriend show up in a few. :haha:

Literally, this time 3 years ago she was here (born at 5:00pm on the nose) and I was probably being stitched up and she was being given her Apgar test. :cloud9:

Yikes!
Three years ago today I would have been reading your birth story on December Mummies thread and yelling at Simon-in-utero to get a move on already!!! :)
Actually, this was my original due date - the start of the 10 days of purgatory until they kickstarted my womb! :)

And I remember reading your induction story a few times, too, Tiff, because I knew it was in the mail for me! :)

Lovely babies - those December 2008 units. Turned out to be top notch! :haha:

By the way, already SO glad we bought Science Centre passes. My boys spent 2.5 hours absolutely mesmerized by amazing exhibits today. I'm really really pleased with the kind of stuff they've designed for little guys there.

So, still trying to sort out this stupid photobook debacle. Short story? Only part of the order has arrived and they have no idea if it's delayed or lost as they "don't track parcels to Canada". This is the second year in a row that I have had problems with these guys. Yes, they make great books, but this hassle is SO not worth it. I'm beyond annoyed. I wasn't sure if I should ask for a reprint or if that would mean I'd wind up with double the photobooks I need or if I should just say to hell with it and demand a refund. I finally just asked for a refund. I am so annoyed.
So.... don't use Shutterfly. They won;t deliver on time and their customer service is obviously one of those firms based out of India - really bad English in the responses and cut and paste answers that don;t really answer your questions. Big huge thumbs down. And they had better refund me on these pronto. I am already out the hours I spent putting them together. Now I am also out the cost of replacement gifts. :grr:

i remember that from last year!! i'd be ticked!!! i was looking at using tinyprints for photobooks..... i thought actually who u used, now im glad its not LOL

Technically, it's not Tiny Prints. They are using Shutterfly as their photobook provider, but it's a completely separate company.
But still...
I gave them another chance because I thought it was just an unfortunate one-time thing. Now, I am beginning to think it may be a USA thing?
Problem is, you have to wait until the Black Friday sales for any decent deals on the books. And even though they promise delivery by mid-December, they obviously have trouble doing that.
I think I need to find Canadian sites that can compete in price.
The part of the order that did arrive looks great? :xmas2:

oh no Sarah that is so frustrating for you :( especially since this is the second year in a row!!

I hope you had fun with your family Tiff! :)

Hi guys! I always come on with the intention of sticking around and seeing how everyone is doing, and then I forget! I miss you guys! Hope everyone is doing great! Can't believe how many of you are pregnant with #2!

Happy Birthday Claire!! So many December 3 year olds!

Sarah, sorry about the hassle with your photobooks. I hope they come soon and it can all be sorted. I also hope you can find a new, better, non-India-based, HELPFUL company for next year!

Nothing much going on here that is out of the ordinary, except Zoe might be getting Doctor Number 9 soon. She's still refusing to eat, even though it's been a month since her surgery. It's a daily struggle at every meal. I'm hoping she's just being a picky "2.5 year old", that this is just a developmental stage and not a progression of her condition.

Holy tampons, batman!
I just got my period! And weird? Dec.19 was the first day of my last period before I got pregnant with Tobe. Of course that was Dec.19, 2009....
Seriously had to blow the dust off the box of feminine hygiene products.
And I was right, then. I did ovulate, although I don't think that was two weeks ago... totally can't remember. I suppose I should sort of keep track if we do want to TTC again in September.
Does this ever explain some bad moods I've been having lately.

That's kind of neat it was exactly two years since your last period! haha

I haven't had one since October 30th 2009...so maybe October 30th 2012 it will come back? :haha:

It's like my body just hit "pause" and now "resume"! :haha:
I'm cool about it. It will be good to have a few cycles before the next TTC. Let's everything be more accurate, you know? Otherwise, I'd have no clue about dates, etc.
I did have a little dream of no periods for five years, but I'll just have to live vicariously through you, Melissa! :)

Lucky you Sarah!!! actually i think mines on the return too and i wish it would just come and stop mucking with my hormones and my milk! I actually purchased a diva cup from babysteals a month or so ago when they had them, thinking i might need it soon!
