Canadian Moms & Moms to be!

Hope you get AF soon!!! Have you ever tried vitex? It is an herbal remedy. Not sure what all you are doing, or what your doc is up to yet, but it worked for me after I had my daughter. It regulates your period both ways so if its long it will help make you ovulate, if its short it helps even out the hormones.

Thanks Ryder - I will look into that! Can you get it at any drug store?

no its usually at health food stores or natural food stores :D

Im not sure how long you've been off BC Sugarlys but it took my body two months to regulate after going off. And my first cycle was about 40 days long (when it was always 28 days before).

I got off Aug 16....didn't start ttc until after my first AF in Nov (11). Have done 3 tests..all BFN

glad all is well Amanda :)

My body regulated very quickly coming off of BCP both times so no help here I'm afraid :( Hope it regulates soon for you :)

my body was so wonky after the bcp. it took a year for me to even begin to guess when my period would come. i had anything from 30-45 day cycles. what did help me in the end was drinking red raspberry leaf tea. i drank (and still drink) several cups a day. i went from a 40 day cycle, to a 30 day cycle, to a 28 day cycle to pregnant (and that was the first month i thought we dtd at the right time!)

poor J though - with my period my milk supply is so low... she is getting pretty ticked at my boobs LOL. i keep thinking it will jump start her into eating more solids but nope... she's a stubborn kid!

So glad to hear that, Amanda! Big relief!

So, while I was answering a couple of emails, Tobe was playing around beside me on the table. I look over at him and he is gleefully chowing down on a liqueur-filled chocolate that our friend just gave us. :dohh:
Sneaky and fast. And literally right under my nose. Luckily he only got a small taste. Drunken hyper toddler? Oh, no thank you!

You have inspired me to go straight to formula feeding this time I think with all your posts sara... LOL

 sarah!!!!!!!!! Maybe he will sleep good for you tonight when he finally crashes?

i know its crazy joss. i know a bunch of things i will do differently next time! i had NO issues bf'ing till J hit about 6 months... the last 3 have been way harder then the first 3, its supposed to be the other way around!

oh man Sarah! sneaky little monkey!

I think people just expect to be sleep deprived for the first 6 months so bfing isn't as much of an issue. I know once I hit 7 months and Peyton was still waking ever 2-3 hours I was just like no effin way. And Peyton had solids starting bettween 4-5 months so he was eating tonnes during the day by 7 months.

Im just undecided yet with it all. I know I will definately be givnig a bottle once a day early again because I think that really helped make him more open to different methods of feeding.

Im just really terrified of not getting enough sleep... It was really hard and turned me into a crazy monster.

 Too funny Sarah!!!

Hannah was hyped up on sugar this evening thanks to MIL, don't think I'd want to add liquor to that :haha:

i got ton's of sleep in the first 4-5 months... its been the last 3-4 that have been hell. my kid is ASS backwards! and because she slept so good for the first little while, i let all the bad habits happen cause "hey ho who cares, im getting lots of sleep" now im paying BIG time. i will also offer a bottle of bm right from the beginning and after a few months maybe do a bottle of formula every couple of days so i know she'll drink it if i need them too.

oh ya, with Peyton there was no relaxing with the new baby and getting lots of sleep since I had Jasmine... With Jasmine I got loads of sleep, she slept so well at night and then I napped most of the time with her in the day. That is why im such a nazi with routines and stuff now lol

i don't need that much sleep LOL. i actually function better on 6 hours then on 8 or 9. but i would love to have 6 SOLID hours  I have maybe once since J was born, napped during the day when she did.

It gets easier with 3, Joss. First couple nights were a pain, only because Anberlin was a constant nurser for 7 hours straight, but one she got her days and nights figured out, it wasn't too bad. If you're comfortable at all with co-sleeping, this might help get a little more sleep. When A woke in the night, I would bring her into bed with me and give her the breast. I'd close my eyes, but never be fully asleep. I'd wake up again within 45 minutes to an hour, and she was sleeping again by then, so it was easy to move her back and go back to sleep myself. Just no lights and not a lot of movement. That's how I got through my first couple weeks.

I function best on 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep :D

My pregnancy sleep has actually been pretty good this time. I remember with Alia it was horrible. But I'm only getting up once at night to pee and I'm not so uncomfortable that it keeps me up at night.

I'm dreading the sleepless nights ahead. Just last night I was thinking how nice it was to go to bed knowing I'd get at least 7 hours of sleep.
