Christmas Markets

Hi all

I love it when the German market comes to town. i ususally only buy hot chocolate and salted potatoes but hey- i love being in the cold with a proper hot chocolate.

Anyway, has anyone been to the ones abroad? Lille or Brussels more specfically? im thinking about going this year by Eurostar. Anyone got any opinions?

I've always wanted to go to the German markets but I can't afford it this year so me and my mum are going to Chester. They're having a Victorian theme and it's supposed to be brilliant so we're gonna book a hotel so we can go shopping all day and crash

I've never been but Liverpool usually have one. I might go this year but the thought of a family day out in mid december to the town centre sounds stressful haha

edinburgh at christmas is really nice. me and my mum were planning a trip to york this year then we remembered il have a newborn

We go to the one in Belfast every year, I love it. Mini pancakes with chocolate sauce, german hotdogs washed down with a german beer, then a go on the merry go round. Can wait until it comes

We went to the Winter Wonderland in Hyde park last year. It was absolutely fab. I loved everything about it!

Would love love love to go to a big one abroad!

Eurostar has 1 night deals for about £125 each. Im thinking of it...but also hinted to my hubby we could go for my bday in november

We go to Bury St Edmunds now, but we used to go to York every year before i had LO. I would love to go to Germany to see a "proper" market.

loooooooooooovvvvvvvvveeeeeee lincoln xmas market, me and my mum are gunna make a day of it! heres some pics its gorgeous! they have it victorian themed and sell mulled wine, and everyone walks round with mulled wine eating mincepies!

I looked into going to Lincoln but it's just that little bit too far for a day really.

Oh is German so i don't think he is as impressed by the markets as i am... ahha, i love going and i think its magical !! but its VERY overpriced, they sell little treat things for 5 pound a go that you get in lidl in a BOX! for about 2.50 lol, but i suppose thats going to happen aint it lol x

My BFF went to sheffield christmas market last year & said it was brilliant & they will definitly be going again this year so think we might pop along too x I love christmas markets x Getting all wrapped up warm, drinking hot choc & just getting in to the festive spirit x

I know it well (the bridge that is ), we go that way when we visit East yorkshire (Rodin hoods Bay, Whitby etc). My blood lines are all Yorkshire too, love it up there
