I can not believe it. Im 15dpo and got strong lines on hpt so did a digital and it said pregnant 2-3 weeks!!!

A friend asked me a question and I was wondering if you, ladies, can help.

She was hoping to find out how it work once you get the Clomid. What sort of dose do you normally start off on? Also, is it always supervised by the doctor, i.e. tests and scans during the cycle?

I started on 50mg for two cycles but did not ovulate. I am not using a fertility specialist just my obgyn. I go in for labs at 7dpo to check my p4 to determine if ovulation has occurred. Some ladies go in for a follicle measurement scan around cd 12, some do both labs and scan. It really depends on the dr.

I also work with my OBGYN - if the next couple of cycles don't work, I will be referred to a FS. I began at 50 mg (no ovulation), 100 mg (no ovulation), and now am on 150 mg. I get 21 day bloodwork done to test for progesterone levels, which would indicate whether or not ovulation occurred.

So did you, ladies, not ovulate prior to starting the Clomid either or was it the Clomid or the dosage that stopped you ovulating?

I wasn't ovulating before taking it either, hence why my doctor put me on it.

Clomids job is to make you ovulate.

Hello ladies, I just started my third round of clomid this month. 50 mg's days 3-7. My hubby had a sperm analysis done which was good and I had a progesterone test done and my levels are low. Although the first month of clomid on my day 21 progesteone test i read 28.95 which my doctor was inpressed with. We tried a year and a half on our own. The doctor decided clomid was our next option. I do ovulate every month on my own though. My periods are every 27 days and I get a positive on an opk on cycle day 13 every month. I am glad to finally have found some other women who I can relate to. I did have horrible side effects. Hot flashes, headaches, fatique. Hoping the third round works this...

I am starting to get discouraged and need some success stories :/

I am about to start my first round of Clomid. So excited to finally get the help we need for another baby ( our first is adopted) We love our little girl but we want more. and It has been so hard trying. I am just glad I am not alone in this

Had one more question... Did you use/do anything different in your second clomid cycle?

I had a HCG shot in my first cycle last month. My US scans depicted ovulation on CD18. Currently 12dpo, with no noticable pregnancy symptoms. Was wondering if I can do anything different this cycle (once AF comes) in terms of any supplements etc? Any inputs would be helpful.

In two days I will be starting my second round of Clomid. I am unsure if my first round was successful in making me ovulate. I did have some pain, but it was nothing to write home about.

So in two days I will be taking 100mg of Clomid. I take it days 5-9. I previously took Clomid (5-9 cycle) and I was taking 50mg. My doctor decided to up the mg. I also have a refill so if the second cycle does not work I can do a third cycle. I will only take 3 cycles of this, so I am hoping that this cycle works for the next!

Did your doctor do bloodwork after the first round? I am curious as to why he upped it without knowing if ovulation occurred. If it did, this tends to raise the chances of multiples.

So..if u read back over the posts, i started this thread. I got my bfp on 2nd round of clomid but i lost the baby at 14 weeks due to triploidy.
Im back! And once i get my cycle back then im going on clomid and getting another bfp!
