Crazy things TTC has made you do.

I did this on my Blog for my family to get a little humor out of. . .

I would like to see what crazy things TTC has made you do.

Here is some of my list.

* You start to think that putting your legs in the air, or standing on your head will actually help, so you try it.

* You buy and eat loads of fresh pineapple, (until your mouth bleeds from the acid) because you somewhere heard that it will help a baby implant if you did conceive.

* Start to discuss fertility and the reproductive system as if everyone knows exactly what you are talking about.

* You start to type in a foreign language, TTC language. This includes acronyms such as DH, FS, TTC, LTTTC, LPD, OH, 2WW, CD, BFP, BFN, and so on.

* Obsessively watch shows such as Teen Mom, 16 and pregnant, One born every minute and so on.

* Have your entire baby registry planned online.

* Hide husbands tight underwear because they can cause a lower sperm count.

* Ask Husband to take an extra vitamin even though the tests came back all good.

* Have a little green box in your closet filled with baby items you bought for your future baby because you had a moment of hope while standing in the baby section.

Lets see out of the ones you typed i have done

*Start to discuss fertility and the reproductive system as if everyone knows exactly what you are talking about. (i can tell my mom thinks I'm crazy something when i start rambling on about fertility issues especially when i start using the foreign ttc language)

*You start to type in a foreign language, TTC language. This includes acronyms such as DH, FS, TTC, LTTTC, LPD, OH, 2WW, CD, BFP, BFN, and so on.

*Have a little green box in your closet filled with baby items you bought for your future baby because you had a moment of hope while standing in the baby section. (except mines not a green box its a black trash bag filled with all the bankets, clothes, diapers, and bath supplies i bought for my son, that i miscarried, when i was pregnant with him. i don't think i will be able to take that stuff out even if i get pregnant again cause i bought that stuff for him an it would feel wrong using it on another baby)

lets see i also won't let my husband sit with a laptop in his lap anymore, i count his thyroid medication daily to make sure he is taking it, i tape all my opts to a sheet of paper so i can compare them month to month, my 13 year old little brother said him and his friend looked up the effects of drinking to much mountain dew (my hubbys favorite drink) and that it can cause low sperm count, i like to have killed my self tripping over stuff trying to get to my computer fast enough to google that, its not true it doesn't effect the sperm count by the way lol theres more crazy stuff i just can't think of them right now

I almost bought a $200 car seat because it was on sale. My husband talked me out of it.

I used TTC as an excuse to stop working over time at my job. My (male) boss didn't ask any questions, just said OK.

besides most of the things that have been mentioned

* I've been carrying rose quartz and moonstone crystals around like a crazy woman (and I don't mean that people that use them are crazy...I'm just acting like a crazy woman afraid to let them out of my sight and stuffing them down my pants after BDing so they can have a maximum effect LOL) I have them all over our bedroom, on rings and in my bag LOL

* I sleepwalked to the door and opened it at 5am because "I heard the bell and it's SIL that's come upstairs to give me the baby stuff for my bean"...I woke up at the door staring out into darkness

* I bought a fertility spell online lol

* I've sat in bed after BDing for an hour even tho I had to pee like crazy and could barely walk when I got up

* I've laid in bed after bding with my iPad looking at illustrations of the conception process so I could help it through visualization

but no more crazy lady cause i'm taking a break and excuse any spelling errors or sentences that make no sense...I've had wiiiiine to celebrate my fake positive pee stick that got my hopes up for nothing..so I'm tipsy LOOL

OMG!!! Way too funny! My DH and I just got a blast out of tis! I don't know that I have anything new, but I've definitely done some of those mentioned...

- DH is not alowed to sit with a laptop directly on this lap, there must be at least a thick blanket. And no hot tub, not even his parents that they keep at 98 degrees.

- I've fallen asleep with my but on top of a pillow for elevation. Very uncomfortable!

- I was so excited when we first started ttc that I bought $100 worth of baby books. It's been so long I wonder if that info is outdated...j/k

- My DH told me one day after a doc appointment, "you know you just had an entire conversation with just letters from the alphabet, right?" The poor thing felt left out of the conversation...oops

Just had a read through this and can relate to a lot of it!!

I also now find it very normal to leave opk's lying aroung the house - arm of the sofa, kitchen table etc. One day a friend will come round and think i'm very strange.

I never knew I would get to know so much about ttc. When I had my last m/c friends were asking how I got on and I was going on about hcg numbers etc and they didn't really have a clue what I was on about!

I actually had to be out of town for work around the time of O. So I carried them in my purse. I had a baggie of the ones I already peed on. but had to pee on them in a public bathroom that day. lol

Totally didn't see this thread before I made my other one, lol. These are the kinds of things I was thinking about last night.

TTC has made me know the art of feeling yourself up. The number of time I've touched, squeezed and peered at my breasts is too many to count.

I don't think I'd ever thought I'd be squatting on the bathroom floor to get a better angle to feel my cervix!


There must be many more.

It doesn't bother me anymore to get pee on my hands, because I am POAS, so often, Both OPKs and pg tests.

I carry around opks so i can test whenever i need to and, at work in an emergency i had to pee into a lipstick case so i could test as it was the only thing i could find in my bag!! Haven't worn the lipstick since!

Since TTC, I have actually been excited to see a large pimple on my face at the time of ovulation cause then I know I ovulated. The month we know I didn't ovulate? No pimple. It was sad.

oh the things we look forward to when ltttc

I've checked my cervix in public and then rushed out to tell a friend that it was so high I couldn't reach it! I got the strangest looks

Also: I've taken a pregnancy test at the beach in one of the two stalls and wouldn't move for 10 min, I had people banging on the door lol I couldn't see a line so I took it apart and used my phone as a flashlight while hubby kept texting me if it said anything yet!

I regularly look at maternity clothes online deciding what I will buy.

I have a word doc with all the baby things I want on it. It also has a gorgeous baby pic, lol. Definitely want that.

I've made my DH put an ice pack wrapped with a rag on his balls for a half hour. He complained the whole time, so we never did it again. Secretly, I've been thinking about running the idea by him again this next cycle.

After we BD, I basically go on bed rest.

I have made up a baby gift list of the things we will need. I'm kinda looking at it in the way where before I was ever engaged I used to secretly look at dresses online and possibly even bought a couple of magazines. This is my baby version of it. Plus visualising helps tee hee

Can I just say that I ate a whole pineapple today.....LMAO. The roof of my mouth is RAW right now!


And as for the crazy things I've done to ttc:
*I sleep with a red ribbon under my mattress
*My whole nursery is already picked out as well as stroller, carseat, monitor etc
*I make DH leave the room after we BD so I can get myself off [I read an orgasm makes your cervix reach down and scoop in the sperm]
*I've paid for a psychic reading [who said I'd be pregnant in November]
*I've purchased a "fertility" bracelet from etsy
*I have a rose quartz key ring on both my and DHs car keys because I read it helps people conceive
*I've been paying for a VIP membership on Fertilityfriend.com for the past year!
*I already purchased at least 3 entire maternity wardrobes [I hope I get to use them all one day]
