Do you wait for AF before testing?

Do you test before AF is even due to arrive? Do you test on the day AF is supposed to get there, or a couple of days after? I feel like I'm more let down by the BFN than I am by AF herself but I do get impatient sometimes.

Sure I wait...well in my head lol
Then my hands go to auto pilot 9dpo and it's off to the addiction races!
No...I am too nosey to wait
But I stick to cheapies (walmart 88cent) until I see something THEN use a FRER to confirm.
