Endo Sufferers!

Hey ladies.

Im still waiting for my lap date but on a mission to lose weight in the mean time ... from looking on an endo site and diets etc im not really sure what to do because im not sure if its possible for me to cut everything out ... has anyone else changed there diet and has this helped? x x x x

I did, but for good results I've found I need to be very strict and I didn't notice for a couple of months. Natural things take longer to see the effect.

Wishn...I'm so sorry to hear that news, but I like your PMA!! What's your next step? :hugs:

Hi all, I was wondering if i could join??
I was diagnosed with endo in December 07 I had no ideal what it was until they told me i had it! i also have PCOS, and severe iron dificiant anaemia which sucks! But I don't bleed heavy, barely anything at all but the pain is unreal!
I recently had a Capsual Endoscopy because they think the Endo has progressed :( Been TTC for about 5 months naturally, and Managed to get pregnant (altho i didnt find out until to late) M/C at 6 weeks.
I dont really know much about Endo.. doctors here are pretty rubbish here can anyone help???
:hugs: xxx

Hello Charlie. :hi:I'm quite new in this thread too. Sorry about your m/c. :sadangel:Do you know what degree of Endo you have or what stage it is at?

I actually have an appt. at the fertility clinic on Tuesday. I'm completely nervous! After the last couple of months, nothing could destroy me now. How's that for silver lining?

As for you ladies seeking more info... there is a really great website.... there are several links to it in this thread somewhere... I would put it up again, but I can't currently remember what it is :)

Hi Noja, Thank you. :hugs: No i haven't been told about what stage or anything only that i got it they found it when i had a lapo.. and ever since then they haven't told me anything..

Hey ladies! A little update on me...I have an appointment for an OBGYN/fertility specialist on Tuesday!!! I am soooo excited! It will be great to finally have a listening ear when it comes to TTC and my difficulties with the endo! My current doc is a blank when it comes to any help or aid. She actually is so disinterested in my TTC that she lollygagged for a week before finally giving me a referral (which I didn't need because I made my own appointment with a new Dr. through my GP).
I've never sought out medical help like this before...I need good vibes!

I really hope this is a positive step forwards for you hun. I am attemping the weight loss, better diet more exercise .. so hoping this may help me on my ttc journey!!! How is everyone else? Lots of love x x x

Hi

I've just seen this thread for the first time so thought I'd join if that's ok.

I've been TTC #1 since Oct 07. I have severe endo which I was diagnosed with in 2001. I have horrendous periods - usually have a day or two at the beginning when I have pain that painkillers does nothing for, I lie in bed unable to move and cant stop being sick.

This is a long story so I will try not to ramble, but basically, I got very ill at the end of May and was in a lot of pain - I was referred to hospital but sent home and told nothing was wrong. Then 24 hours later I was rushed to hospital in an ambulance. The surgeons rushed me into theatre and performed an emergency laparotomy. I had peritonitis and blood poisoning. My abdomen was full of pus so I had to be washed out - I spent a couple of days in intensive care and then another two weeks in hospital, and made a gradual recovery thereafter. I went back to work 2 weeks ago - although I'm still having some problems.

Anyway, they cant say for sure what caused it all, but they suspect it could have been a burst cyst. I had had a period a few days before I got ill, and when they opened me up they said the endo was extensive.

I am now on Zoladex to stop my periods completely and put me into a false menopause. My body just couldnt cope with having my usual periods while recovering from my operation. My gynae is referring me for IVF as he says if my tubes were patent before, they will probably be damaged now due to the infection. My OH and I are having bloods taken on Friday and once they come back clear we can be referred to a fertility clinic.

I had been scheduled to have a lap, but that was cancelled due to the emergency surgery, and my gynae now doesnt want me to have any further surgery unless absolutely necessary.

I am now eating what the hell I like as I was on the endo diet for about a year before my surgery and it didnt help with the pain, or the endo. I lost so much weight when I was ill that I am now pigging out to get it back on!!

I am so sick of this horrible disease, and I'm determined we will beat it, and have the baby we want so much.

I've been reading all your stories, and while I wish none of you had endo, it's nice to know I'm not alone.

xxxx

Goodness Hayz..I am so sorry it's been so horrible for you...we must get to know you better! :hugs2:

Hi guys,

Thought I'd pop in to tell you that I was diagnosed and treated for moderate endo last November. I then had a failed IVF cycle in April but managed to conceive naturally in June.

I'm currently 10.5 weeks and scared stiff but nonetheless very happy to be pregnant.

Wishing you all success on your journey to becoming a mummy!

xxxx

Congrats Rach!!! PMA, things will be perfect!!

:)

Which I have TONS of for the first time this year!!!!
DH and I went to the FS today and while his results from his SA were grim he said we were good candidates for IUI! I don't have ANY infertility coverage through our insurance plan so it's going to be 600 bucks per month. However, that pails in comparison to the 10,000 for IVF. We were planning on going to this consultation today just to find out what the game plan was, but put off treatment till our house sells. We don't have enough money for both right now, and our house is already on the market. BUT, after the appointment we were over at my mom's house and telling her about it and she said she will pay for it!!!!!!!! So we start next month :) I'm so excited....yahoooooo:happydance:
