Expecting Twins? Come join!

I am actually not tired at all since 13 weeks, it's great getting my old mo-jo back and cleaning the house and organising and going back to the gym! Putting on weight fast tho, probably around 7lb (3kg) so far! And I do have to go to bed at around 9 at the latest as I lose steam around then and get tired!

Apparently at nearly 14 weeks a normal baby would weigh 45 grams, that means mine weigh 90 grams, the same as a 16 week fetus, and if you added both 14 week babies together lengthwise they are as long as a 20 week old.

So we are allowed to start showing more! My friend said she was in maternity clothes by 3 months..

This is me yesterday afternoon at 13 1/2 weeks =)[/QUOTE

Mojo??? What's that? Im 13 weeks 2days and all I do is sleep, you lucky thing.

I started growing out of my cloths at 10 weeks and now using maternity cloths. Had a bump at 8 weeks and getting bigger yet the doc yesterday thinks it small for twins, this is my first pregnancy to get past 6-8 weeks.
Cute bump you have.

Haha by mojo Im not meaning sexual mojo, thats still off the menu!
Is your bump smaller than mine or bigger?? My midwife didnt say anything about my size, shes not worried about low birth weights as my last two were in the mid to late 9lbs. She predicts each twin will be at least 7lbs.

Im trying to toss up wether to go for an elective C sec or try naturally, what would you think in my situation? (ive had two natural births but both with episiotomys and forceps/ventouse as they both got stuck for two hours).

I think I am about the same, may put a pic up tomorrow.
I have been told by my specalist that I have to have a c section no later than 34 to 36 weeks due to been a high risk and I was really want to do natural but it's in babies best interest!! Did you have good births for your first two? If so natural would be a good way to go depending if that is the way that they want to be born, they could have other plans lol.... :)

Hello everyone! Congrats on the twin BFP's! I have 2 children already and have had 2 MC. After heavy, early bleeding that the doctor thought was the result of a chemical pregnancy, my beta came back at 30 at just a week after IUI. It has since steadily climbed and MS has reared it's ugly head! I started bleeding again Monday and found out that we are pregnant with TWINS! I was in complete shock! We have been trying for one more child for several years now and had to finally start fertility treatments. So, thanks to gonal-f and IUI, we are going to now have 4 children! I am still in shock!! I am 5 weeks 4 days today. The yolk sacs were visible today and the bleeding has stopped again. So excited for next week's scan to see my babies!!

Yay you're in my boat! Wanted one more and got two! IUI is more likely to have twins tho isnt it as you would be on some kind of drug like clomid? Or is that what gonal-f is? Did you know you had two eggs there? (My sis in law did IUI so I know a bit about it).
Being a mum of 4 is not something I ever saw myself being, 3 seems still like a normal tidy family with a normal car, 4 seems like a tribe with a people mover/van!! But hey, Im sure we will love them to bits! And their childhood will be fun. I am oldest of 7 kids and we had a blast, but the house was messy as all the time and we barely got any attention from Mum who was always running round like a headless chicken with a todler hanging off her and a big round pregnant tummy! lol
Glad your bleeding has stopped, hopefully morning sickness doesnt hang round too long :)

Yes, we are in the same boat! My husband freaked at first because he really was unsure about even having more since they are so far apart and I kept MC. On the day I had my IUI, I had 6 follicles. I was surprised they didn't cancel my cycle. Yes, gonal-f is like clomid but in injectable form.
I have been freaking out because I am spotting like every other day. I'm only 6 weeks today so I do not feel like I am in the clear at all. I can't wait to see my little beans again on Wednesday. My RE said we should see heartbeats. I hope so because I don't think I can take anymore baby bad news in this lifetime!!

Did you have good births with your first two??? I wanted to do natural with mine but have been told by my specialist that they will have to be delivered by c section no later that 34 weeks grr not really wanting a c section. depending on what the doc says to you I think that there would be nothing wrong with natural but if you had probs with your first two a c section maybe the way

Both births before hand were natural but with forceps and ventouse as they were large babies and I have narrow hips, they just wouldnt come out! Im wondering tho if these two are only 7lb each then I might be able to push them out??? The pain of the last two labours and birth was AWFUL and I wouldn't be displeased at all if they were breech and had to get a C section. The only thing I wouldnt like is having a long hospital stay, and also another scar on my body! Why 34 weeks? I think I'm allowed to go up to 38 weeks (hoping for 37 tho).

Why won't your dr let you go past 34 weeks? My dr said she won't let me go past 37 weeks and I can deliver naturally only if the first one is head down and come out naturally. It doesn't matter the position of the 2nd one just so the first can come out.

ive bn told im getting a section between 36 and 37 wks. i did want a section tho, had an emergency one with my son, and i have a neuro condition so was petrified at the thought of a vaginal with two!!

i still feel like poop and look like it, hair is much better now tho, hubby said i look like rachel off friends this morning when ive got up, cant argue with that, he must want something-ha ha -no chance love!!

Hi we are from the UK and expecting MOMO boys. Currently 23 weeks.

I just saw a couple of comments about momos and why they are delivered early and by C-section, so I thought I would share what we have found out as we have been going through this.

Momos tend to be delivered at 32-34 weeks (depending on where in the world you are). The reason for the difference in weeks is that there are no guidelines for momo pregnancies, mainly because they only occur in 1 in every 50,000-60,000 pregnancies.

Due to the sharing of placenta and amniotic sack, the risk of entanglement, cord compression and other complications is high and so specialists deliver the twins by C-section.

Finding info on momos is difficult, but if anyone is expecting these type of twins we are always happy to share our experience.

I have monoamniotic twins Momo and the longer they a left the more complications that can happen. it only happens in 1% of identical twin cases.

Hi fox 2 looks like you are in the same boat as me.

Wow as if twins arent rare enough, you have identical momos! Well youll be able to give me advice on how to cope with twins and Ill still be pregnant for another month or two getting huuuuuge...

Oh come on guys, I just got here, now you all wanna leave??! :D

Just think, as soon as you move over, all you'll see is "am I in labour" "is this my show" "so over it" and youll all be way behind! Kinda like the good old 1st tri "pregnant and bleeding" and "just got my bfp" and "symptoms gone, worried" threads! LOL

I cant wait to get to 3rd tri to create some "Im so over it" threads myself =D

the hospital thought we may have momos but they found a membrane at 12 weeks. identicals are rare but as the others say momo identicals are very rare and come with more risks.
as an identicals pregnant mammy i wish all the others the best of luck, and its ok to have wobbles, ive had one.

as other twin mums have said - god only gives twins to those who can cope!! so well done us twin mammies!!

13 weeks today with non identical twinnies!!x

Oh wow never thought of the fact I will be just in the third tri when they are delivered, only a max of 20 and a half weeks to go lol

Is anyone going crazy thinking about gender(s)?? All the combinations have me very excited!! Are there any old wives tales for twin genders?

Yeeeesssssssssss! I always think about it and CANT WAIT for the 20 week scan!
