Feb IUI here I come

Hi Ladies! I have been super busy lately, so I haven't been posting, but I have been following this thread! I am hoping that all of us have good luck this month!
I finished taking my Clomid (100) mg on the 10th. I go in for my second HSG on Wednesday. Then, I just have to wait for my LH surge to go in for my IUI. According to FF, I should ovulate between the 15th and the 20th, and I usually ovulate on one of the last days that FF predicts it. I am really afraid of two things: 1. That I am going to ovualte early and it is going to be the day of or after my HSG (which is unlikely, but my irrational, worry about everything attitude is kicking in) and/or 2. That I will have my LH surge during the President's Day weekend when the doctor's office will be closed. Or should I fake the LH surge early and schedule my IUI for Saturday? But then what if I have my surge later than that? Would I go in for my IUI on Tuesday even if I get my surge on Sunday? Will it be worth it. I am such a worry wart! I really hate all this ltttc stuff, especially since everything has to be timed perfectly. And if you miss the timing, you have to wait another month to even have a chance to conceive again. That whole month wait seems sooo long!

Sorry, my post kind of turned into a rant, but I really had to get that out!

That's why they usually do an hcg trigger shot for better timing. If you had your surge on Sunday, Tuesday might still be ok cause you O 24-48 hours after a surge. I think the problem is if you get the surge on Saturday. Cause it's a little early for the IUI but Tuesday is definitely late. Can you schedule it for Saturday and then reschedule it to tuesday if you haven't had your surge by at least friday night/Saturday morning?

Well this is my first time on here, and I've tried for the past two months with just Clomid. It was unsuccessful. This month we are trying the IUI with clomid. I really hope it works!

They didn't offer the trigger for me. I was just told to do opks and then call when I got a positive and I would be going in the next day. I am having another HSG on Wednesday, so I am going to ask them about the timing of hte IUI when I go.

hope all goes well for you guys just waiting for my period to start so can start taking clomid

Purplesparkle me too - well waiting for :witch: so I can start IUI this cycle, my first time. Am excited :happydance:

How is everyone doing? Ladies who have already had their IUIs, any news?

I had another HSG on Wednesday and they said that my tubes are "beautiful". Which is the complete opposite of what they said last time. He compared the x-rays from both times and said in both samples my tubes looked good. However, this time they found what looks like polyps in my uterus. I asked if I should have the IUI next week and he said to go ahead with it but if I don't get my BFP I need to schedule a saline sonogram to check out those polyps.

Sooo, I am obsessively peeing on OPKs waiting for my peak. I asked the clinic while I was there if they would be able to do my IUI on Monday even though it is a holiday and they said they would...great news! My cycles are pretty normal, so I should have a positive opk this weekend. So, my IUI is just around the corner. I am excited and super nervous.

I hope everyone else is doing well.

Sorry but bad news here...got a BFN on beta test yesterday. I stopped taking the progesterone supplements and I'm waiting for AF.

I'm so sorry phoenix. Hopefully next month is your month.

So sorry to hear that Phoenixrose! They say that your chance for success increases the next time. Don't know if it's true, but let's hopes so. Any way, I went in for my sono on Thursday and everything looked good as far as my follicles. They told me to do my trigger that night, and scheduled my IUI for Friday. Everything went well, it was a little uncomfortable, but the procedure is done in no time at all! Now, I'll be driving myself crazy for the next 2 weeks! Good luck to the rest of you, and please keep us all posted!

Ahhh...so exciting! I should be going in for mine in a few days. We will be just a few days apart.

They did with mine. It took about 45 minutes to wash, and then they called me in. I'm pretty sure they do it for all of them, but I'm not sure!

My FS said they have to wash it. They told me that parts of semen that aren't sperm have things like prostaglandins, that would make you cramp up. So they need to take that out. Washing them also concentrates it. Plus, I forget the special word for it, but it does something like activates the enzyme in the head of the sperm that it will need to enter the egg...this is done naturally by the body when they travel up the cervix.

start taking clomid again today hopefully have my iui next week if all goes well

hope you ladies are doing ok?

I've got my iui later this week - going in for a final scan and trigger shot injection tomorrow.

Does everyone else do their own injections? I can't bring myself to do it so the nurse normally does, but the one i saw last week was very stroppy about it!!

Wishing you all lots of luck for iui success
xx

I'm not doing injections because my cycles are really regular but I don't know if I could do them myself! I go in for my iui tomorrow morning. Yikes!
