first cycle actively trying (June 2015)

I just wanted to introduce myself... I have been "stalking" this post for the past couple of weeks reading everyone's stories. I have found myself incredibly invested in all of you women! I find myself firing up my computer at night just to keep reading and see who all gets there bfp's!... Good Luck to all of you! :)

Gina: I have found your story incredibly inspiring... keep the faith. :) I have no doubt that you will get your baby.

My husband and I have recently decided to start ttc. This is my first full cycle. I tested positive with an OPK on 3/5 & 3/6. But with hubby being out of town all week we were only able to :sex: on 3/6 & 3/7. Not to hopeful for this cycle but happy that I did get a positive OPK. I'm trying to temp but I can't seem to do it at the same time so not sure if it's accurate or not! Due for AF on/around 3/20.

Just hoping for a little support while we are all on this journey!... Thanks all!

Welcome to ttc Kiki! You're not out until the witch gets you! So much fx your way :dust: Hope your journey is a short and smooth one.

Why don't you tell us a bit about yourself? How long have you been married? Any furbabies?

Welcome kik!! ^^ so many new ladies :happydance: hope you have a short ttc journey and it all goes well. ;) and like les said you are never out until AF arrives ^^

FX you still caught that Iittle egg ^^

Hello! Kind of a newbie here.

I've poked around in a few of the forums here, but I'd like to formally introduce myself. DH and I have been married since 2014 and started talking about possibly having children last year.

We tried once in November but life got in the way so we decided to officially start TTC in March (this month! - hurray!)

Currently on CD6 so it's still really early. I have regular cycles and typically ovulate on Day 14 so here's hoping!

:hi: Kiki! I'm glad I can inspire you. I have been through alot so it's always nice when some good comes out of it. Sounds like you might have actually had really good timing. If you O'd on the day of the second positive opk, like I usually do, you would have dtd on O day which is great, and leans toward boy :winkwink: and if you Od the day after the second you wpuld have dtd the day before o and the day of O which is great timing! FX it worked!!

And  to chocolate! I am around the same CD (not sure exactly because I'm not checking this month) Cycle buddies!! FX we both get our bfps this month!

hi chocolate :) welcome to our lovely thread :) there ladies here are all amazing and supportive. If you have any questions just let us know :)

Hope you have a short ttc journey and it goes all smooth. Ovulation on CD 14 you lucky chick

Just kidding. ;)

Are you hoping for girl or boy? Or doesn't matter? Any names yet? :)

Hi chocolate good to see you here :)

Fertile window starts next week for me. I'm trying to keep things the same as my BFP cycle. No alcohol during the FP, staying horizontal 5-10 minutes, and the only bd day I really care about is the day before O. I've also asked DH to abstain from alcohol during the fertile window (and limit it the rest of the time), and he agreed. I've read it can affect sperm quality, and heck if he's willing it can't hurt right? DH is also taking vitamins now. I guess I'm just a bit neurotic about sperm/egg quality after what happened. Glad I have such an understanding and willing husband :).

A little bit about me... My husband and I have been married since August '15. We were thinking about waiting awhile before TTC but I have to say that I got baby fever a lot quicker than I thought I would!... We also have a bit of an age gap b/w us (I am 30 & DH is 26) so I think this makes me ready and he's just along for the ride :) DH did state that he will be happy whenever it happens. We do have a furbaby - her name is Merida :) A cute puppy. She's crazy and always keeps us entertained! I am a nurse. So this also keeps us busy! The crazy schedule - I'm currently trying to balance 3 jobs - but I'm well aware that when baby time comes, this will probably have to change. And that's ok :) . DH also works out of town frequently during the fall/spring so this is not prime time to try but it also forces me to be more relaxed about everything - and I think that is a good thing!... Up until our wedding I was always 28 or 29 days. And then my cycle changed to 26-27 days and then as long as 31 days. So frustrating!... I decided to take OPKs because honestly, I wasn't sure that I was even ovulating. I'm happy now to know that I am more than likely ovulating. Had ovulation pains & all the loving EWCM. :haha: My temps seem to be up, but I am also being better about taking them so not sure if they just seem up because I wasn't good about my routine before. :) It just makes me more relaxed to know all of this! Thanks for the support ladies. We have not told ANYONE that we are ttc. Family all thinks that we are waiting til the end of the year at least so it would be fun to surprise everyone sooner. FX for everyone! :)

Haha ttc isn't easy. Hope you get your bfp soon then kiki^^ my DF is younger then me too. ^^ not that much but I think they tend to be more mature then others their age ;)

I am so incredibly tired today. Could just lay on this table and sleep... but I have a 4 year old demon to take care of lol. Hope DF comes home soon.

So check my cervix today, and it's very high to the point of being barely to touch and I'd say soft and I'm not sure but I think it felt closed. What do you guys think?

Yay for fertile window ^^ hope you catch the egg. And you seem to have an amazing Dh. Mine is being more stubborn. He refuses to take anything. :nope:

Hey girls, I'm still here. Just having a bad week emotionally and have been more of a reader than a poster.. Drama at work, fighting with DH over literally nothing, dealing with side effects of Provera. Stealing hugs if I may. Ready to jump out of a window (not really, but you know what I mean)

Welcome all newbies! Glad to see we have this thread blooming with TTC'ers ready for our BFPs. Nice to meet ya'll :)

Aw wifey :) lots and lots of hugs from Ireland :hugs:  :hugs: <3 you'll get through this week. It'll all get better. especially when you have your bfp ^^

:hugs: wifey

Having a bad day myself. Spent my whole night in bed crying while dh has been working. I just want my baby back. I thought I had grieved all I was going to but I guess not. It's 9 now. DH should be getting out of work soon. Really wish I had a friend that could come over and hang out when I feel like this so I don't fall into this depressed state. :( sorry to be a downer guys.

Super duper hugs wifey! :hugs :hugs: :hugs: Hang in there... what goes down must come up. Hopefully the weekend brings better things for you.

I've been busy lately but just caught up a bit with the thread, but suddenly forgot everything I read! Welcome to the new ladies, though. Gag - I think we met on another thread? Honestly, my memory is terrible.

OHHH, Vel - the hair looks GREAT. What a perfect shade! It really does suit you.

And Les, thanks for reminding me re: alcohol affecting sperm. I'd also heard of that recently but had forgotten (see?). And of course I remember at a time that DH is out drinking. I'll send him a quick message now haha. Eek, I just sent it and I can see he's read it. Poor thing will probably freak out now. I'm so mean. In any case, I'm a hypocrite because since doing everything "right" the first cycle, I got bored and have been drinking lightly on some occasions up to a few days DPO (not every day or anything, just on a weekend day or something).

Oh, and yes this thread is awesome, and I generally really like these BnB forums. I remember posting on a completely different site once and just getting cold responses from other members telling me I broke rules by asking a question about my chances of fertility :$

:hugs: all the hugs you need wifey :hugs:

And some for you as well Gina

Jez!!! I can't believe you messaged him while he was out haha. Idk if it will really help or not, but it definitely can't hurt. I told my hubby to keep it to just 1-2 a week. Good to hear from you, and I know you didn't ask for it but sending a hug your way too :hugs2:

AFM: It's pouring rain here today, so DH and I are going to just cuddle up with the fireplace on and watch a movie tonight. Some relaxation is much needed. This week was tough in a number of ways: buyers backed out on our condo, I had to get a cavity filled at the dentist (which I'm pretty sure happened that weekend after my MMC), and to top it off my cat seems to have a uti and the vet tried to charge me $650 for diagnostics :nope:. Anyone else wish they could take a break from being an adult once in a while? Ah well, looking forward to hopefully some better luck next week.

Awww thanks for the hugs Les and sorry to hear you've had a crappy week. Here are some hugs for you too :hugs: A night in watching movies next to a cozy fire while it rains outside sounds amazing. What did you guys end up watching? As for your kitty (the poor thing), did you end up negotiating the price? That's ridiculous for diagnostics.

Oh dear seems like everyone has had a bad week. I think you all deserve some hugs :hugs: :hugs: <3 <3

Gina wish you had someone that could come cuddle with you to Make you feel better. How is it going with your dh giving up on his second job? Hope he will have more time for you ^^

Les hope your cat gets better .. the poor thing and that price is nuts.. stupid vets.. wish we had health care insurance for pets :haha:

Jez- from your chart it looks like you ovulated? Do I see that correctly? Hope you caught the egg ^^ how are you feeling?
