Magicalmom I'm doing better cold is almost gone yay just in time for ovulation. my son is still in bad shape but I think he might sleep good tonight... I hope

So I have been doing the opk tests and yesterday I had a faint line and then this morning I got a blazing positive... it happened so fast.. which is weird.. don't really have strong signs that it's ovulation time... only a few twinges here and there. And this morning I had a bit of ewcm but not much mostly it's just been watery... and we didn't get to BD last night cause I was too tired and so was BF... will try today though. hope we don't miss the window this month.. been still taking maca root and drinking the green tea but I can't say that I am having stronger ovulation signs or atleast not yet... maybe it takes a bit longer for me... who knows ;-p

Vel -- The reason why it doesn't feel like you're O'ing right now is because the surge (blazing +OPK) occurs RIGHT BEFORE O. Usually 12 to 48 hours before O. Some women think they are ovulating once the OPK goes positive, but you will have definite O signals after your blazing positive OPK.

Also, once you start getting a faint line, the blazing positive line comes soon after. Usually, I'll get a faint line in the AM and a blazing positive in the PM. Then for me, O typically comes the very next day.

Oh ok now I get it. Hahah... then we should be fine. Because it just started showing up 2 days ago and already a positive one.. had Me shocked for a bit also because its so early with ovulation.. I'm only CD10... but then this makes sense with the O happening 24 to 48 hours later thanks magicalmom your like a ttc guru

So just did a opk again with FMU and I think it's even stronger then yesterday's test... does that mean I might be O'Ing today?

It's possible. Usually if you have 2 days of positive opks you actually ovulate on the second day. But it could still be the day after.

We ate doing both this year. My family is around 1, his is at 2:30. Lol. Going to be soooo stuffed! Usually his family travels to his extended family so we just do mine but this year they are hosting so we are attempting to do both.

Fertile - That is some commitment! You go girl. Hoping the best for you!

AFM: My fertile window just began, so BD every other day starting today. Heading up to the in-laws this afternoon, and sounds like they just put a nice new cal king in the guest room. Hoping for some grand babies much? His sister and her husband are trying too. Trying pressed this time, but it won't get here until Friday, and we won't be back until Sat or Sun. Ah well...I should O on Monday at the earliest, so I'll have it by then .

Vel - I cooked Thanksgiving dinner for my family a few years back. I was so nervous, but it turned out fantastic. I'm super type-A, and I love cooking/baking everything from scratch...so I had an entire 5 page plan complete with times and materials. My family laughed at me, but it helped me delegate to my fantastic sous-chef (DH) so much. If you get a self-basting turkey it's pretty easy...like Gina said, it just takes a long time. We made an herb butter and rubbed it under the skin, so good! I think I'm just responsible for the pie this year. Bit nervous because my mother-in-law has decided that she's going to make the dough today while we're driving up. I keep sending her texts like make sure you put the butter in the freezer, and stick the dough back in the fridge as many times as you need when kneading by hand - DON'T LET IT GET TOO WARM!!! Haha, I'm probably driving her nuts...thank goodness she already loves me

Hahahah I am actually the same and my bf drive me insane when he says I shouldn't worry so much and that it will all turn out ok and why I need so much... it'll be fine with what I have and it drives me insane when I have to explain why. He is a very very laid back person and I am more of a worry wart xD

Vel -- Usually a for-sure positive is when the test line is DARKER than the control line. Most times I’ll have a positive OPK for two days in a row, like Gina said, and O either on the 2nd positive day or the day after. One things for sure…you are DEFINITELY FERTILE, hun! Time to turn DP into a sex slave!

I think it’s cute that you’re gonna cook for Thanksgiving! Hopefully you’ll have another something baking in the oven! Oh…and don’t forget the cranberry sauce!

Gina – I love to house-hop on holidays, going from one family member’s house to another. This year, I’m only going to my grandmother’s house, which is where everyone will be. Maybe you can eat at one’s home and take a to-go plate from the other. My friends and family are so pushy, they won’t let me leave WITHOUT taking a plate!

I’m so happy you’re charting, Gina!!! I love reading BnB friends’ charts. Looking good! When do you think you’ll O? How are your OPKs turning out?

Leson – How cute that your sister-in-law is trying as well. Maybe you’ll have baby bumps together! The kids would grow up together and be best buds!

AFM… 8 DPO, itching to POAS, but trying so hard to resist the urge. It doesn’t help that I’ve been on HPT photo galleries, staring at all these wonderful positives. Not going out of my way to symptom-spot, but I definitely feel what I feel and just add it to my chart JUST IN CASE I do get a BFP, I’ll know what symptoms I did have.
