Panda- I love those pictures! :) So glad he is doing so well for you too.I'm pumping about 3 times a day after feeding her because my boobs are just so full. They wanted me to do it more, but like you I'm a little worried about producing more than I need as I get a few ounces every time.

Fading- How r u holding up? I know your going crazy waiting, but we are all here cheering you on. :)

Daisy- How are you feeling? Any progress?

I'm excited for all our babies to be here! Sending you both good labor thoughts.

Afm- We have been using the bili blanket since Monday. I hate it, but thankful it keeps her out of the hospital. She was down almost a pound on Monday so they had me pumping then giving her what I pumped with a syringe. Yesterday we went to the doctors again and she was up 4oz! Her bili levels were also normal so we just had to do one more night and a blood draw today then if things are good the blanket goes away. :)

She is an eating, sleeping, and pooping champ. I'm so proud that she has been so good despite having a few bumps. I am soaking up every minute of being her mommy. ;)

Jules- glad things seem to be headed in the right direction! :)

Ladies, I have been really enjoying reading your updates. I have spent the last 2 days in the hospital for my abscess. I checked myself into the emergency room on Tuesday, with elevated white blood cell count, heart rate, blood pressure, temp, and respiratory rate. I was admitted and had a surgeon drain it the same night. I have been on IV antibiotics, and was only supposed to be here a day but my white blood cell count wasn't back to normal until this morning. I can't wait to be home with my little monkey- he is getting soooooo big!

The in-laws brought him to visit last night and this is him on my lap :)

panda, adorable pictures! Thank you for sharing. Such a sweet little man

Jules, I am glad baby girl is getting her weight up, hopefully you will not have to use the bili blanket much longer :)

Duster, :hugs: the ER is probably the LAST place you want to be with a new baby. Hoping you get to the bottom of this and can continue on here soon!

AFM, I am still pregnant. :coffee: No, no signs of any imminent labor. Just tricks and teases  Technically my D-day was 2 March but you ladies are near my D-Day so I figured why not join I might go early? :dohh: well now I have received an invite to my cousin's baby shower in southern Oregon, I'm wondering if I'm going to able to make it depending if I'm still pregnant. Te shower is 3 days after my due date!

Logan Easton decided to join us very suddenly this morning. I'll post the full birth story a bit later. But my contractions started at 12:30am (being 5 minutes apart already) and he was born at 5:51am.
20 inches long and 8lbs 10 oz.
I got my medication free water birth. And he is perfect.

Ladies!!!
so much to catch on!!!

I havent been able to check it out as often as I should.

Fading and Jules congrats on joining the motherhood!!!

Daisy: hope things happen for you soon!!!

Duster, I'm sorry for all you are going through :( Hope it all gets better soon!

Jules, hope all is clear tomorrow on the check up!!

Panda: I loved your 1 week picture :) ADORABLE!!!!

AFM: Ben is definitely a sleeper, and sometimes I cannot feed him for more than 10, 15 minutes and then he snoozes out.
Also he is having some gas and tummy ache at nights, so some nights he is completely fine, some nights he cries all night... then I need to sleep all day

I'm also having a hard time for him to get used to the bottle. I've tried expressing milk and then giving it from the bottle, but he is not getting the bottle or the pacifier, only my breast!

here are some pics from the hospital. It is amazing, I look at him and he is already soooo different!
:cloud9: in love!!!

Good luck, Daisy!! Can't wait to see Zodi!!

And Thex! Congratulations on little Logan! He's adorable. <3

xfading, congrats!

Ladies, the photos are amazing! So happy to not be the only one sharing photos anymore!

Daisy: YAY!!!! Best of luck for a healthy labor and healthy baby! Can't wait to see Zodi!

AFM: I was released from the hospital Thursday afternoon, and immediately went to get Dorian from the in-laws. It's wonderful to be home with him but at the same time, every time I hold him, all he wants to do is nurse. Normally that wouldn't be a problem, but I was on broad-spectrum antibiotics not approved for breastfeeding while in the hospital. I've been able to keep up my supply by pumping and dumping, and by this afternoon I will be able to nurse again! I am now on an oral antibiotic approved for breastfeeding.

I also want you ladies to know I never posted this story to gain sympathy or scare anyone. This is quite a rare occurrence; from what I heard only about 3% of women who even develop mastitis will develop this. I just wanted to share my experience so you can see that mastitis can be very serious, and if you develop an abscess it comes on and becomes serious extremely quickly. If my first healthcare provider company would have treated this as the emergency it was, I may have been able to avoid my 2-day hospital stay. Just learn from my experiences. :) I still have my drain in; I will be following up with a surgeon on Monday.

And a photo of Dorian, just short of one month old! OMG has time really gone that fast?! He had a weight check today and is 9lb, 8oz!

ladies

Zodi Irie Sky turned :blue: at 23:24 26 Feb 2016.
He is 5 lb 14.5 oz 19.5 in and perfect. Will be posting his 6.5 hr birth story on my parenting journal in my signature later.... He is asleep in my arms now :cloud9::cloud9::cloud9:

thank you for all your support

Congratulations Daisy! So happy for you! Take care and enjoy!

Are we still waiting on anyone's bundle to arrive?

I believe I was the last. Guess Zodi saw fadingpat had her LO and all eyes were waiting on him! :haha:

Daisy- Congrats on your little boy! I can't wait to see pictures! :)

I can't believe we are all mommy's now. I am so proud of all of us! :) I'm so happy we got to do this together, hopefully we can continue into mommyhood.

Did I end up the only one with a girl? Lol

Jules- I think so! Though I thought Dorian was going to be a girl the whole time... does that count for anything? lol!

Ladies, are we going to keep this thread going or move it to another area now that we have given birth?

Congratulations, February mommies!! You did it! So so happy for all of you and your little bundles. :hugs:

Oh wow!! Cant believe we are all done and with our babies on our arms!! :cloud9:

Ksquared, thank you!!!! August will come before you know it!!!
So happy for you!!!

Daisy, Please share Zodi's pics!!
Jules, yes, I think you are the only one with a girl.. that's funny!!

Duster, how are you feeling??

How is everybody adjusting into motherhood?
I had 3 fairly good nights as far as waking up / feeding, and just had 1 horrible one.. need some sleep pretty bad!!

Ben is gaining weight, and is healthy and changing soooo much already!

Hope we all can keep in touch :)

Thanks, ksquared! Please come back and share your experience once your LO is born!

Pri, thanks for asking! I am feeling much better. I got word that the antibiotic I am on will work for the bacteria I had; based on that I can say with certainty that I didn't have MRSA. Saw the surgeon for a follow-up yesterday, and she removed the drain. Now I have to wash and pack the opening twice daily. As for Dorian, he's almost 10 lbs!!! He is latching and sucking much better, but I still don't think he is getting the volume from the breast that he should be. Back to a LC later this week! He will also be 1 month old tomorrow and will have his 1-mo checkup. Unbelievable how fast this has gone.

Ladies, I hope we keep this thing going- we are all still first time mommies, and I'm sure parenting will provide us with challenges to share too!

hi ladies

ksquared thank you for the congratulations. You will be there before you know it! How is the pregnancy going? Feeling ok now that you're in second tri? :)

Pri, I will get pics uploaded.... eventually. Barely have time to update my journal. Pretty much just staring at Zodi all the time, he's precious.

Jules, I think you do have the only girl! Like duster said I thought Zodi was going to be a girly bump  she will be a breath of fresh air compared to the rest of these boys

duster, glad that things are moving in a more healing direction for you. Hopefully things will continue to be problem free and easy going from this point forward. I would like to continue this thread, there are a bunch of preg threads from years back that are still going. I think it's great to have htis thread for first time mommies like us to share our experiences and trials.

Zodi has not pooped since passing meconium his first two days. Lots of pee and farts, his latch is good and my milk is in. He seems to be gaining weight--we will check on Friday but his face and legs are looking a littl more chunky. Still bleeding and my tailbone/rectum hurts a little still.

I can't believe he is 5 days old today!
