First trimester after ivf or fet?

I'm 9dp5dt, so exactly 4 weeks. I've been testing positive for 5 days. 8 tests. This was a fet. So I still have awhile on the pio injections. But I'm soooo happy and thankful after 3 1/2 years ttc. I'm also very scared and can't wait to get through betas. Ultrasound. And first trimester. Anyone else?

I'm so glad you got your bfp! Congrats!!
As you know, I did IVF w/ ICSI and was lucky enough to get my bfp first go! I'm not 12w2d and just saw my little one jumping around on my scan!
It really does work! Enjoy it, coz it goes so quick!

This was my first ivf also, although I got delayed so many times, it was my first transfer finally! How many did you put back? I put back 2 blasts.

Hi Girls,

I will pop in too! congrats girls on all your bfps! May we all have a happy and healthy 9 months. Took me 2 fresh and 2 frozen cycles for my bfp! I'm 4+6 days really excited and nervous! Booked in for ultrascan on the 21st July seems ages away!

Anyone got any symptoms yet?
I think I just feel a little more tired.

Well I was allowed to go for an earlier beta today at 10dp5dt, and....the hospital lost my blood! So now I have to wait until tomorrow to hear the results.
Pisces I don't have many symptoms, off and on crampy with a heavy feeling. And I have an aversion to ice cream which is very very unlike me. Not much of an appetite but I don't know if that's just because I'm so excited. I'm also peeing quite a bit more.

Hello Pisces! Looks like we are exactly the same date. Congrats on your long awaited bfp! I've had some pretty c ready cramping last night into this morning but seems to be subsiding now. Other than that I am good until late afternoon then I'm exhausted. Are you on meds?

Lanet: How annoying they lost your bloods, that is ridiculous! Like your not anxious enough already! Hope you have a fast resolution soon and get your results and official blood test bfp! Hoping for a big hcg number for you! Let us know as soon as you can!

Peachy: Congrats on your bfp too! very exciting, no meds for me, finished my crinnone gel at 11dp5dt. They also measured my progesterone on the last day which was sky high in the 900's. Are you on meds? When is your first ultrasound are you booked in yet?

Symptoms: Def peeing more! Very sore boobs! Bloat on my tummy!

ATM: I have hypothyroidism so went to the specialist yesterday and my TSH from baseline 0.64 before fresh cycle had already risen to 3.99 4 weeks later, levels for first trimester should be less than 2.5. So, they have upped my dose so hopefully baby can keep taking what he/she needs! Lanet make sure you get your levels re-checked, couldn't believe how much it jumped in 4 weeks!

Pisces thank you, I asked about getting it rechecked and they said they wanted to wait a little while, until the first scan. But that worries me that yours already rose that much! Mine was 0.48 at last check 4 weeks ago.
My beta yesterday was 296.1. I test again tomorrow and Friday, hoping for good doubling!
When I talk to the nurse tomorrow I'll bring up the tsh again and ask if she's sure it's ok to wait.

Hi Lanet, Hooray for Beta, that's a great high number! Will keep cheering for your next numbers! How exciting for you!!

I will def insist on geting your Tsh level checked as it's only another simple blood test, it can't hurt and for your own peace of mind. see link below about increasing dose once pregnant for more info also has a link a paper.

Pisces I put in a call to my regular ob too to get her opinion on testing my tsh. I haven't heard back yet.
My 2nd beta today 46 hours later is 784.2!! Yay!! I feel like I relax a little more with each test

Wow! Go lanet and bub/s! What a fantastic second beta! That is so exciting, maybe could be twins! Will you need to go for another beta or will they book you in for ultrasound? What week does your clinic book you in for scans?

How are you feeling? Excited? Anymore pregnancy symptoms?

ATM: Officially past the 5-week pregnant mark, hooray! Celebrate every little milestone I say! Really hard to concentrate on work-related things at the moment. No morning sicknesss yet, I wonder when that will kick in!

Pisces I have one more beta on Friday and then they will book the scan. They said it will be a couple weeks later, so I'm guessing 6 1/2-7 weeks. Then one a week for 3 weeks.
Yay for 5 weeks! I cant wait to get there! Sunday!
My symptoms are feeling like I can't quite empty my bladder all the way, or maybe I'm just constantly producing pee lol. Sore boobs, and I'm losing my appetite, not too bad, but nothing sounds really good.
With dd morning sickness hit me like a freight train at 6 weeks.
And yes I'm so excited! I still can't believe it! I'm having trouble concentrating at work too, but I love having my little secret. Have you told anyone? When is your scan?

Oh and my OB also agreed to wait to check my tsh, maybe they want to give it time to see if it will effect it. Also I did fet so my hormones are pretty regulated at the moment.

Good to hear you heard back from ob, yes I did a fresh cycle so maybe that's why mine jumped so fast with all the extra stimulation hormones, etc

My scan is booked in for the 21 July, I will be 6w+5d, so still awhile away! Yes, we have told my mum, my sister and my DH mum and dad as they all knew we were going through treatment so didn't have a choice! We won't tell anyone else until we make it past the first trimester. What about you?

will you tell people its an IVF baby? I wasn't so sure to do that, but my partner seems to want to tell close friends about it which is surprising for me! I guess he wants to share all the heartache and stress we have being through the last 2.5 years! Get some validation! I guess it would be nice to share this ivf journey with close girlfriends as i have told noone except my sister. thank goodness for these forums!

I've told my mom and sis. And a few close friends that knew and were waiting. Trying to keep it's secret for the most part though. I'm not sure if we will tell most people about ivf. A lot of people know that we have been ttc for a long time. But I've been vague on the details.

Hey ladies

I went to the er last night because the pain in my left side was more consistent and I was worried...so OH said lets go and get your fears eased...
They think it is most likely a small cyst - so they wanted an u/s done - went in for that today and I got to see our peanut! They did an abdominal u/s, but she was able to clearly measure and pick out the peanut and see a flicker of the heartbeat OH wasn't there for that - since we thought they'd be just scanning for a cyst.
FS clinic u/s is tomorrow - which OH is coming to - excited!!

They wouldn't tell me if there was a cyst though, so hopefully at the u/s with the fs, they'll be able to tell me more.

Went in for what was supposed to be my first scan today (6w5d) and everything is on track The fs was happy and said not to come back til I am 10w!, then if all is well, they'll release me! Going to seem like forever!

Just seems like this is a dream right now...especially when he mentioned a few screening and tests we'll get asked if we want done in the next month or so, like the Harmony Test or nuchal screening etc....it was sort of like - oh I guess this is for real and we should start thinking about it...
OH emailed his parents before we even left the room!

River did you re see or say anything about having a cyst? That's wonderful everything is great with baby!

Afm beta yesterday at 19dp3dt was 9317. I will have an u/s on Tues and will be 6 weeks. I have heard other women get to see the heartbeat at that time do you know of a lot of women who have. Makes me nervous.
