 I'm just getting over a stomach bug---was by far the most uncomfortable experience I've had in ages! Pierce would ask, "Mommy, you ok?" Poor little fella really behaved for me...I hope he doesn't catch it! I'll be back...going to try some toast.

How'd Simon's EEG go Laura? Will they be able to regulate his seizures soon or will they have to adjust his meds as he grows?

Jess & A1983 ~ Pierce's feet are square, like Fred Flinstones...I've just been using Pedipeds (Or Uggs) when we go out. He is barefoot at home with me most of the time. It is tough finding shoes that work when they are this young!

Amy ~ FX'd for you!

Bethany ~ How are things? How was the drive?

Leslie ~ I hope you and your little ladies are doing well :cloud9:

Laura... thinking of you and hoping that everything is ok with Simon's EEG. Please keep us posted... sending lots of love and prayers your way!

Bethany, Hope you are settling in ok at your new place. :D

Angel, Stomach bug?? Eeek! What a cutie P is for checking in on you. :cloud9:

Leslie, hope you and the girls are doing well!

Jess & A1983,

Angel, sorry you've been sick hon. I really hope Pierce doesn't get the stomach bug. Aly and Natalie have been sick with the stomach flu as well. Actually, we were on our way home from shopping and Aly threw up in the car all over the place (thank God she didn't get anything on Natalie or Sophia). What a disaster!! Now Natalie is sick with this. Terrible terrible flu. About shoes, I finally found a brand that fits Sophia beautifully. Its called Mini Melissa. The shoes are just darling. I will try Pediped next since they are less expensive than Mini Melissa. I wonder if they sell pediped at Nordstrom or Neiman? Have any idea Angel? Oh and Sophia's feet are skinny at the heel and wider toward her instep. Sooooo hard to find shoes for her because most toddlers have chubby heels.

Laura, poor little man's seizures aren't under control. I'm hoping the docs can find the perfect medicine combo to keep his seizures under control. There has been a huge cold front here and its suppose to he spring by now. Hows the weather in Ireland?

Yoohoooo Bethany! Hope all of u are nice and settled in New Mexico!! :hugs:

Amy, last night I had a dream that u gave birth to a baby girl. And I saw 2 pics of her in the dream and she looked different in each pic. So I'm not sure if you have 1 baby or twins. Either way, I thought I'd share that with you.

G'morning ladies! Have you ever woke early, in a panic because you've heard thunder & rain and strongly recall leaving your moon roof (or window) open? Ideal stormy sleeping conditions, but noooo you jump up-run outside only to realize you closed it up when you got home :dohh:

One more day Amy!! FX'd for the retrieval of loads of good eggies! :dust:

Jess ~ Idk if Nordy or Neiman carry pediped  They don't normally have as large a selection for boys. I get our shoes mostly from Zappos. I <3 Zappos! Sounds like Sophia has a tricky foot to find a fit for...glad you found a brand that works.

A1983 ~ I know you are bound to be busy balancing Nia, work and a bit of a life---throw a pregnancy in the mix, wow. Hopefully your job is rewarding and doesn't add too much drama/stress to the mix!

:hugs: Laura, Bethany & Leslie

Hope ur feeling better Angel
And hope p escaped it. X

Jess hops ur girls are better. Z

Thanks fir asking about s ladies.
He is good, still having seizures.
Still upping meds every Sat to try sort it.
Eeg report takes a few weeks.
But that's good cos its only if it's dire
They ring u next day
So it's a good sign.
Had a fitting for speacial chair today
It will be great for him
But won't hve it for a few months.

Love to all Xx

How nice that Simon is getting a chair! Will it be to help him walk? And I'm glad they haven't called you right away with the results of the EEG...silence is golden! Any plans for you to go back to work in a couple of months or do you get to stay home longer?

Hey Angel.
No the chair is yo help posture and not slump, slide or tilt while sitting
He has,a,tendency to do all 3.
No work for me
He needs me too much still
I couldn't trust anyone to do his meds, physio, Ot, slt and seizure, watch.
He still has trouble eating too if u don't hve foods at right consistency
Plus I just don't want to leave him :-D
I don't go into too much detail here cos I prefer to focus in the good
But he is nearly 2 And can't crawl, walk or talk much.
Can't eat properly and has multiple seizures a day
Told at risk of autism and or learning problems
So it's not an option really
But he is coming on all the time
He is amazing us,all with progress in spite of drawbacks

U still able to work from home?

I'm glad you get to stay at home with him! What a treat!! Each LO is special Laura, Simon's milestones will be met just at a pace appropriate for his needs :) I don't see it as a delay or anything negative, I see it as more time for you to cuddle with him and keep him close by your side <3 He has certainly come a long way since day 1! He is such a cutie, I wouldn't want to leave him either---it's fantastic you get to stay home. I'm home barely working or working barely depending on who you ask! Ha! Student enrollment is low, so right now work is at a minimal, but as you know these tykes keep us plenty busy (and running my SIL to appts).

Laura, I know u don't like to focus on the negative but I do wish u would share with us more of your and Simon's journey. Please know that we are all here for u and if u ever need someone to talk to or just let stuff out don't hesitate. Just want to let u know I admire you and think u are a wonderful mama to Simon. I totally get not trusting anybody else with Simon. That's how I feel about anybody else taking care of my kids. The only one I trust is my mom because she understands Natalie's special needs more than anybody else I know. Sorry I have been absent a lot on here. Things have been extremely chaotic and I am doing all I can do to not lose my mind. Just know I care for all u ladies and think of all of u often. :hugs:

It's Friday and soooooo beautiful out :coolio:

To address the stomach bug, I was the only one who got it :/ Pierce may have had a touch of it, but nothing like I had! Knock on wood!

Jess ~ Sorry things have been hectic...you need to win one of those Great Mom's Sweepstakes! How is your health? Any updates on your condition?

Laura ~ Are you feeling better now, UTI gone? How is your Mom?

Amy ~ :coffee: Prayers and bountiful vibes being sent your way!

Leslie ~ Thinking of you!

BETHANYYYY...the cyber world isn't the same without you! Hope the coyotes are at bay xoxo

A1983 ~ Smooches to Nia!

I got the stomach bug yesterday. Its by far the sickest I have ever been. Been throwing up all over the place and horrific diarrhea (sorry tmi). Angel, how were u even able to take care of Pierce being so sick? I can't keep anything down, not even a few sips of gingerale. I have these horrible dry heaves. Am so dizzy and stabbing pains in tummy. Ladies have any suggestions on how to keep anything down? Dh is going to buy me some popcicles and get me some ice.

It's the absolute worst bug EVER! I didn't drink or try anything until 12 hours after it started (I woke randomly at 4am throwing up, by 4pm I sipped on ice water). I'd still vomit, but I tried hard to keep it down for at least 15 min...I'd doze off. It was awful! I had a Nanny service come to help me when DH went to work at 9am, but I sent her home because I felt sooo bad and Pierce, being painfully shy, wouldn't leave my side. DH was home by 12:30p. Are you still sick? Mine was raging for 24hours, then day 2 I was drained. I'm still not 100%. If you have phenergan-take it! Get well!

Well, I am typing to u from my hospital bed. Ended up so sick and dehydrated I almost called an ambulance for me last night because I was no longer myself, faint, slurring, talking gibberish. I decided to tough it out until this afternoon. My dh took me to emergency, so here I am. I have an iv in me with some zofran for the nausea and pepcid for the horrible reflux. This flu is a demon!

Ladies, I do apologize for not having been on but we have had the worst luck since we moved. The whole shit show has left me and my husband just...ugh. I'm still not ready to talk about it all. Let's just say the new job isn't going well at all. And I hate it here. And we may move back to Texas because it is amazing there and has more opportunity.

Back home and feel much better. I wouldn't wish this stomach flu on my worst enemy!!

Bethany, so so sorry to that things aren't going well in New Mexico. When do u plan on making the move back to Texas? Big :hugs:

Oh no Bethany, super sorry hon :hugs:

Hurray for feeling better Jess!

Amy ~ Hope you feel better today xoxo

Hi errrbody

Do you ladies have an opinion on time-out and when we should implement it?
