Bethany, I'm so sorry NM isn't working out. Are you guys going back to TX for sure? Did DHs job not turn out to be what he thought it would. I hope that it still works out do that you don't have to endure the trouble of relocating again.

Laura, so excited for Simons chair!!! I hope that it helps with posture like you said!! Still hoping the EEG results are great as well. Three weeks is s long time to make you have to wait!

Angel, hope you are completely recovered from the stomach bug and are having a good weekend with P! Time out??? It oh... Is "naughty P" trying to come out to play? Lol

I just wonder when I get to implement consequences to NOT listening. I try that whole use of positive direction-->instead of saying, Pierce no! Get out of the dog food!" You say, "Pierce, that's Daze's food, if you take it she won't have it to eat. Let's play with this instead." Blah blah blah Sorry if that works for anyone else, I'm knocking on terrible 2's door and need reinforcement, aka a time-out mat! I'd love a time out for me, one minute for each year---I could really use a great 39 minute nap

I'm having the same issues with Sophie Angel. At this point she is too impulsive to even attempt a time out with her. What scares me is I see similarities with her and Natalie's behavior. Sophia also has a temper on her and can be pretty feisty. I don't see any signs of bipolar though. But she is more active than Natalie ever was (and Natalie does have adhd). I know Sophia understands when she is doing something wrong because the second we catch her or look at her, she runs away mischievously. Its funny now different they can be. Alyssa was an absolute angel as a toddler, she was never defiant and was just so easy for me to take care of. I feel like I learn so much with each child I've had.

But he is starting to test me

Jess when do bipolar tendencies generally show? Sophia sounds like Pierce-he often tells on himself because he has that "look" on his face. Little turkey! Love him, love that he is testing boundaries. I'm sure that's all Soph is doing.

Laura ~ You are a very patient Mommy.... Simon pulling your hair---little stinker! As for language skills, I'm curious if a language board would be something Simon could use (not sure if he's old enough). Since you've mentioned it, I'm not sure that Pierce would understand why I'm asking him to sit still for a minute. No time out for this pipsqueak yet.

Amy ~ Is it May yet? Can I throw out a triplet request? If you have 2 girls and a boy, I'll happily take one of the girls hehehe

I think bipolar shows up at different times for different children. Sophia doesn't have any mood issues besides the typical frustrations a toddler usually has, so I am grateful for that. Poor thing has been having 1 molar break through for the past 8 weeks or so, its barely even over the surface. That will be her 9th tooth (once it actually comes out). It looks so painful, all red an swollen the whole area where the tooth is breaking out.

Ouch to the hair pulling Laura. Sophie went through that phase too. Thankfully she is over that, but has moved into throwing her head back out of anger right into my face and giving me a few fat lips already.

Jess s just got 3 teeth over last few weeks.
He has 12 now, nearly 13
He has gone into tooth overdrive now :-D

Got antibiotics again today
My sinus infection never cleared
I've been feeling crappy
Git bloods done too
so I should be back to myself soon

Jess, fat lip? OUCH! I totally pictured it when I was reading your post. Oh what we do for LO's right?

Angel, ya, it would be hard if P doesn't know why he is being put on timeout. Im not sure what the right age is for that. I'm curious now too. Its hard because you dont want them to be set in their ways to where they think they can get away with anything but then you don't want to inadvertently confuse them with punishment and have them associate it with the wrong thing (i.e. mommy/daddy are just mean).

Ouch to the sinus infection Laura. I get those a lot and then eventually end up asthmatic because the infection goes into my chest. Hopefully u get better soon. And poor Simon must be in pain with all of those teeth breaking through. Not sure why Sophia has been such a slow teether, her 9th tooth has been working its way out for almost 2 months. It seems like she goes through so much pain for each and every tooth . Is there any medicine u give Simon for teething pain?

Angel, I can just imagine Pierce up to mischief. I am sure its hard to get upset with him being so adorable and all. I know u will find a way to discipline Pierce that works for both of u. Btw, has Pierce ever had a temper tantrum?

Jess I don't really give s anything for teething now
Neurofen ( ibuprofen) worsens his constipation
And I think calpol worsens fits
I only use calpol for high temp now
He is better now he is older.
He got these 3 teeth easier than previous ones
Hopefully gets easier for Soph too

Pierce only has to get his last set of molars...Teething was always a pain, I couldn't imagine it lasting 8 weeks for one tooth Jess

Laura ~ FX'd these meds help you feel better! I'm battling the pollen right now, if imnot careful this allergy congestion will turn into a sinus infection = so uncomfortable! As for Language Communication Boards, it's a board with pictures they can use to express their wants by pointing. Pictures of a cookie, milk, bath, ball, TV, diaper, bed, blanket....picture choices are contingent on the child's age,

Ours are on one board too (multiple pics on one board). I totally understand your reservation in using one, pointing to what they want is a lot easier than having to use their words. I'm interested to hear the slt's thoughts on it! Yay for chicks! My cousin got chicks, raised them and now never has to buy eggs (or chicken)---amazing! I never thought about you not being able to take anything for your allergies, that's rough!

Omg the pollen here is crazy! My car is covered in a yellow blanket! I put Pierce in his car seat, shut the door and POOF! it blew off into my face = instant headache!
