what is it with GPs not really taking you seriously? they make you feel like because you're only in the first trimester you're not really properly pregnant or something!!
I'm finding it really hard to get myself to do ANYTHING just now, but I really fancy making peanut butter cookies now too...especially since I was away all of november and december and so missed all the christmas baking
did you all plan your pregnancies then? It was a bit of a surprise for us...as I say I was away for two months, so when I got back we got a bit carried away...
then I went to visit my family in Germany for just 4 days, and my period was supposed to start while I was there, it didn't (obviously). I didn't think much of it at first because travelling had messed up my cycles anyway, but then I thought I better buy a quick test. I took it first thing when I came in the door, we had picked up food on the way too...so when I came out the bathroom I said, "I'm sorry, I know you're eating...but I'm pregnant!" I was in such a shock...I cried and cried...BF was shocked too, but it was clear from the start that we'll just have to deal with it...and when are you ever 100% prepared for a baby, right?
now, 2 weeks after finding out we're both really getting excited about it. I'm sure we'll be just fine. We're having a private scan in 2 weeks and I told BF if we see a heartbeat then, he can tell his parents (we were going to wait until 12 weeks, but I think it'd be good for him to be able to talk to someone about it.) we'll not tell my parents until later because I want to tell them in person and they live in Germany, so I won't see them before about 13-14 weeks.
Um...I was really just going to complain about GPs...
