How do you all keep going?.. Clomid CD 6 anyone?

I already have an 8 year old and 6 yr old from previous relationship do dont qualify for ivf. She did discuss the egg share scheme that I would have to go to Sheffield for but will ctoss that bridge maybe next year if all else fails... I'm not ready to face it yet. Only just started ttc in July after methotrexate for a. Pregnancy they couldnt find.. treated me as suspected ectopic due to my previous confirmed one. Methotrexate is a chemotherapy injection and it takes a few months to get out of your system, and 'build ' yourself back up with folic acid. It really took it out of me. CD 8 tomorrow... another day out the way!

how is everyone? CD 10 for me today, hoping to ovulate over the next 4 days! Clomid side effects have settled down, just ovary discomfort on left side.

Think I'm out before I've even been in this cycle

As well as infertility, I also suffer from stomach ulcers, and 3 weeks ago my doctor prescribed me a new medication for it, as nothing was working. Started taking the medication and finally my tummy was saved and I could eat again! Problem being, that these tablet she has prescribed increase prolactin, and inhibit ovulation, and are strictly not meant to be taken by woman TTC

God knows how that will affect my clomid, but I don't think this cycle is going to be much good now, CD11 for me and I've been off the pills for 2 days, lets see if it gets out of my system in time

CD8 for me, and I should ov in 7-8 days =) My last pill was last night, and then I had hot flashes this morning, hopefully those will subside now!

Stephie, I hope those other meds don't interact too badly with the clomid!

Stephieb, is there no other meds availiable for a TTC lady? They normally check before prescribing things. I hope it helps with the stomach ulcers and doesn't interfere with the clomid!

CD 10 for me, and having twinges in my left ovary again this month... get no pain from my right at all really just feels a bit swollen inside on the right... maybe I'm preparing eggs on my left.. which is good news as I only have one tube on my left.. (although my Dr reckons there is a chance that I could ovulate from my right ovary and for the left tube to 'pick it up', although I'm just not that lucky!) fingers crossed, I'm glad the hot flushes and headaches have subsided, I can cope with the ovary pain, although BD'ing later may be a tad uncomfortable!

They should check, but apparently she didn't. They definitely affect ovulation, they prescribe it to BFing woman to produce more breast milk (so three guesses how I knew something was wrong ) so I've stopped taking it. But now I can't eat anything. Think DH and I are going to have to sit down and decide it we need to put TTC on hold until the tummy has sorted itself out

Oh Cybermum, being while on clomid is always painful around ovulation, hope you manage it

Isn't it just! My left ovary again at exactly the same time as previous 2 cycles on clomid, feels like it's gonna pop! DTD last night.... Had to take painkillers afterwards! cramping big time! and proper emotional! Could cry at anything and have no energy! My temps have been at an all time low today so Im hoping to see a spike soon.

Eeek yes I remember my first ovulation cycle on clomid was awful, I thought I was going to die! It was so painful, DH was very worried but I think I was being overdramatic and emotional funnily enough I haven't had the pain in any subsequent cycles of clomid, hopefully I've not popped my ovaries and they are still working

the ovary pain and headaches and painful breasts after ovulation are the only constant side effects every month. CD 11 today... think I will ovulate this weekend, and I'm working three night shifts! (major downside to being a nurse!) My hubby has thoughtfully arrange child care for my 8 and 6 year old for the afternoon Sat and Sun to BD... it defo takes the spontaneity out of things!But we can't miss 3 days of BD'ing around ovulation... that’s like taking clomid for absolutely no reason at all this month!
Stephieb, I sure things will be OK, your body may have settle with the clomid... I dont get hot flushes anymore, just on my first cycle which was dreadful... I felt menopausal and pregnant at the same time!

The only consistent symptom I have is hot flashes with each cycle. All the other symptoms vary each cycle.

Hope you're all managing! I had a 21mm follicle today, so I got triggered tonight and will have the IUI wed morning -- eek!

Since we're all so close on CD's I'm anxious to hear your status reports!

I'm about 2 or 3 dpo now, (CD 14/15) still really crampy with major backache.. like AF is gonna show any minute! Af isn't due til the 2nd or 3rd Sept.. and she can keep well away! Ovulation spotting (i presume thats what it was) has stopped and my CM is more sticky now. My breasts don't hurt just feel funny.. a bit tingly, slightly sensitive..
I hate the TWW!

I don't think I can face round 4 of clomid... I'm only just coping with the side effects, got three more cycles prescribed. My Dr did the CD21 prog test which was super! But thats it, said she will see me in December and if i fall pregnant in the meantime I am to attend the womens health unit immediatley day or night!

My hot flashes have been so bad this cycle! Good thing my work keeps the air conditioning SO cold! Hoping to O on Thursday. If not, eggy should definitely pop by Friday sometime, so just got to keep up the BD!

the backache is new to me this clomid cycle... its normally just before AF arrives... I am assuming my body aches and the cramps and twinges may be due to all the BD'ing we have been doing! This is the first month my breasts dont hurt.. last two cycles on clomid and my breasts hurt from just before ovulation right the way through to day before AF arrives.
I wish I could fast forward 10 days! LOL

My nipples have always been less sore the more cycles of clomid I do... I think it's normal!
