I shower every day, I feel like a right skank if I don't

I know that it's "small gestures can help the planet" and all that, but I'm fairly sure there are other things you can do which don't involve skimping on personal hygiene!

Mmmm I see where they're coming from, especially with all the stuff that's in detergent... I use vinegar now and it cleans/softens brilliantly and leaves no smell.

However I'm not about to only wash once a week or mop my floor once a month. It's just not possible!!!

we only have a bath at the minute but i have a bath in the morning then everyother day i have one at night too with lexie. i loooooooooooooooove bathtime id stay in for an hour if i didnt have the baby!

I shower every day, wash my hair every other day - DH ditto and DD ditto.

We DO share bath water sometimes, as DD and I have a bath together!

Well now I'm feeling like a mink. I shower every 2-3 days and wash my hair then (I don't smell BTW). My kids normally get a bath once a week, but I'm thinking of upping it to twice a week as their hair's getting long enough to notice that it's needing washed.

We shower everday and most days I have a bath in the evenings. Jacob gets bathed everyday too before he goes to bed. Our washing machine is ALWAYS on.. i've never thought of it as being selfish to be clean

OH and I shower everyday and I wash my hair as soon as it gets greasy so normally every 2days. We never use our bath, maybe twice a year if that? I prefer to shower. We use the washing machine about 2-3 times a week with full loads.

im about the same as you hun i dont see why we need to bath every day.... spesh little ones you need some natural oils on your skin. i wash every day, and faith has a wash down in the sink when i do but full baths and hair washes EVERY DAY nope

It's OK Marley ... I'm feeling like a mink too LOL . I have a full strip wash twice a day, every day (hand basin of water, flannel and soap), a bath twice a week (bath water is usually shared, although I get it first ) and I wash my hair once a week as it's very long, very thick and worn in a bun most of the time .... if I wash it too often it just goes dry and completely crazy

Kaylum has a bath every 2 days or so - and he has those in his bath, which is a washing up bowl LOL

I don't smell either Hon

Harvey gets bathed every night,and I have a bath also,no shower here boo hiss!lol.
Gawd knows what I did to the planet when I was pregnant then!at the end of my pregnancy I was having 4-5 showers a day!as it was the only way my SPD would ease at all..xx

Sounds similar to my house I dont feel the need to have a full bath/shower every day, I get washed every day as do my kids but I found with Dec when I did bath him every day (a little phase I went through ) his skin was awfully dry and when I took him to the docs she told me to stop bathing him every day as I was taking all the natural oils out of his skin and thats why it was so dry. I wash my hair once or twice a week, I only tie it back anyway and it doesnt get greasy very quickly so I dont see the point in washing it every day. Oh and I DONT smell either

Fogot to say Dec get a bath/shower every 2-3 days, Dan a bit more often as he plays football 2-3 times a week, but if I miss a day with Dec I am not going to panick, I know he is clean anyway

I have to shower every day I know I would be smelly otherwise. Sometimes shower at night too. Hair gets washed every day. Though I will admit to being completely paranoid and a bit OCD about worrying if I smell

If we think about it properly almost everything we do is selfish because our standard of living is so high we use resources that most people will never be able to. But I try not think about that because it just makes me miserable i don't wash my hair everyday, it always looks better the day after a wash so only every 2-3 days

I think it depends on the person! I dont lways shower every day but dont always admit it due to people beeing shocked but i do change my underwear every day. And i sure as hell dont/wont clean my clothes after wearing them even a few times unless they smell or have bisible dirt on them.
As i said it depends on the person, i dont smell if i dont shower every day so i dont mind.
and i almost always have a bath, i dont see how people dont have baths as i find its the only way to be sure your whole body is clean as it all gets soaked. ari gets a bath twice a week, more if my mum has him as she lets him get mucky

It's so hot here I have to shower every day, and LO has to be bathed every day, because she starts to smell of cheese in her creases, and vinegar in her hair (because of the sweat). If I didn't bathe her, she would get infections pretty soon, and I hate the feel of dried sweat on me

I don't feel bad about it; I feel bad for others if I don't bathe and then stink

In the UK it's different, I would shower every other day or every 3 days, as long as I was still fairly clean. I would wash my hair more frequently because it's very oily, but the UK is a different climate

Ok I see their point, but really. I think I would do more damage not washing and stinking as I have to do the horses so I would smell of horse, so the windows woul dbe open and the heating would be pouring out the windows. not to mention I couldnt get teh bus honking so more driving.......etc etc.

I have a showere ever day at least, and emma gets 2 a week as she has mild exzema and been told no more then 2 a week. Which is kinda pants as she is a messy baby!
