Hygiene

I never really use lights, and I always have everything switched off and all of my little appliances are always unplugged. The only thing usually left on is my computer.

you girls have convinced me to turn stuff off. i never do, not even switches i never use.
but of course the tv will stay on. or something dreadfull will happen apparently :D
Off with the switches when i go home today.

:haha: See, this thread has it's money saving, even if somewhat a little annoying, tips

I don't think anyone has to sacrifice hygiene to save the planet.
I really don't think it's an either/or issue at all.
There are so many ways to choose to conserve power/carbon/water/you name it.
Here is an interesting site that helps raise awareness about our water footprint. Hope it's interesting for everyone! :)

I shower everyday, wash my hair every 2-3 days. DS have a bath everynight, & I even wash his bum with water after wiping his poo. Bathrooms r cleaned fully twice a week & quick clean daily. Floor is moped everyday, & rooms r cleaned daily, windows, once a week. There is a baby in the house, & he's all around the place. With granite floors, it should be cleaned daily. But we only turn waterheaters on before taking a bath (only in winter as water comes out hot in summer), We switch off lights & TV when no one is in the room. Once my Laptop is charged, I un plug it. We try to save electricity & water, but not hygiene. We also turn off ACs in rooms we'r not in.

Ugh yes, i think everyone should have a shower/bath at LEAST once a day.

I have a shower in the morning and bath at night, i also wash my hair everyday. My pet hate is dirty people/children/everything

I also make my DF have a shower before coming to bed as he bloody stinks as he's in construction .. yuck yuck yuck!!

I have to shower every morning or I feel really really dirty and I hate that feeling. I bath LO every night and I often get in with him too. I use my washing machine about twice a week and I wash my kitchen/bathroom floor a couple of times a week. Clean the bathrooms twice a week and wash pots what feels like ALL bloody day long. I think the environment would suffer more if were all to stop cleaning so often. I clean my wheelie bin out once a week too but I know some of my neighbours don't and I hate walking by their bins on collection day
