I'm going to try making some this week whilst on holiday! Will let you know Thanks for the instructions TL! I dont think Caitlyn will need the elastic either tehe
I actually did mine the other way up... I used the top of the sock for round Leyla's legs and the bit I hemmed went round her ankle. Guess that'll only work while her legs are small enough though.
I think I might have made these a bit too diddy - it's so hard for me to judge. Claire, if you wouldn't mind and it's not too much trouble, would you be able to measure how long Ava's legs are and their circumference at the widest point?
My Mum taught me conventional knitting when I was a kid, but I never really progressed past the neverending scarf. It's a bit too slow of a process for me - I'm too impatient. But I discovered spool knitting, which is sooo quick and easy. I can do a baby hat in an hour - I love it! I'm also making little boy a cocoon, but as that's no such an instant gratification project, I keep picking it up and putting it down. I'm about halfway through. If you're interested, Creative Express has a great sale on knifty knitter stuff atm

Wow, great find! What a bargain. They have some gorgeous ones. Would work less than £3 per pair with shipping to the UK. I'm going to bookmark that seller - thanks!
Btw, I don't think my knitted ones are going to work - unless our baby turns out to have chicken legs. I will have to try again, making them a bit bigger.
