I just wanted to add some encouraging words... my best friend had her daughter at 25 weeks (she was just 1 lb and 9 oz when born) and her daughter stayed in the NICU for almost 4 months and had several operations... but her birthday was 2 weeks ago and her little angel is 8 years old (not so 'little' anymore!) and is super smart and the top of her class!
I know it's tough in the beginning especially with so many uncertainties, but Samantha will do great and she'll be home before you know it!
I am so happy your miracle baby arrived safely (i have cervical problems too so I know the ins and outs of everyday life praying baby gets here safely)
She is absolutely gorgeous and so long wow she has long legs. I wish you a fast recovery and hope you get your iron levels up so you can start feeling better!!!
Samantha was transferredto Sick Kids hospital for the night to see an ear nose and throat specialist. The day after she was born she was fighting her breathing tube and all her tests pointed to her not needing it. So the dr's had taken her off anther lung collapsed. They had a really hard time getting the tube back in and it caused a small bleed from all the forcing and a small bleed in her head from her stressing out. So the specialist is going to figure out what's up with her throat and chest area. See if there's a problem or if she is just underdeveloped. But she is super happy and stable right now.
Yes I have heard they are amazing. I want to go see her so bad. She's been alone since Sunday. My husband has to work and I'm still trying to recover. I wish we were closer. 11/2 -2 hours away feels like a million miles. Imiss her so much and wish this c-section crap would just heal so i could hop incite bus and go.
