IVF sucess now in 1st Trimester

Looks like I am the only one weaning off the meds ...I doing 3 progesterone inserts and 2 estrogen pills post transfer. After my 2nd beta RE asked me to drop it to 2 progesterone inserts and 1 estrogen pill. After my 6w3d US+blood work (earlier this week) RE asked me to stop taking estrogen completely and take 1 progesterone inserts each day for 7 days and then stop completely.

This does not seem to be most used protocol. Should I be nervous?

Hmommy I would rather have the shots too. I have the progesterone in ethyl oleate so it's not as thick as the sesame oil. It's a bit sore but I wouldn't like all thay stuff in my junk lol.

Babs if your doc didn't have great success with their protocol they wouldn't use it. We all compare and it's a bad thong to do. Please don't worry needlessly.

Babs our bodies by this point should have enough progesterione, plus the placenta kicks in around week 8.

Afm...8 weeks today...longest I've ever been pregnant...just hope my struggling bean is catching up an doing ok!! I've been reading up on blood flow issues that stunt growth an apparently you can take a viagra pesseries..yes ladies...viagra lol...I'll ask on Tuesday if i can take anything...

I also got an early nhs scan date through, they're supposed to be keeping an eye on me an this was supposed to be an early scan @ 6weeks...its for 9weeks...well done nhs lol!!

I'll be 7 weeks this Sunday. Still feel like I have so far to go but will definitely feel better if I can see a little bean with a strong heart beat!! .....am really nervous..

My maternity leggings are lovely BTW - they go right up under your boobs, but sooooo comfy!

So annoyed at work today. Supposed to be on restricted, but i'm off late - will probably be done in about 2 hrs (so 3 hrs off late) my boss said are you ok with it are you fine - well there is no one else available to do it so i'm in a position to say yes as no one else can do it - then i have to drive the people home afterwards as well.

I am not a happy bunny - and not supposed to ne doing this - hence being on restricted!!

Hmommy I am doing the injections as well. I do them twice a day and take Estradiol pills twice a day.

Ok...another shot buddy! Lol... I do the pio shot just once at night and I wear patches for estrogen support....can't wait just to let nature take over

Hmommy- good luck at your first scan. So exciting!!

So on Wednesday I asked my ob about the progesterone supplements. I said I'm scared to just stop immediately at 12 weeks and then miscarry. She said the progesterone naturally decreases once the placenta takes over. So stopping the supplements and shots is fine, and nothing to worry about. Phew..

2days countdown to stop progesterone. Yippeee!

No news from me today. I'm really going to struggle sleeping as I get bigger. I love sleeping in the recovery position. Already I can feel my stomach area harder, almost like a grapefruit being inside me (which I suppose there is in a strange way).

That's all! Off out in the hot sun all day today. Lovely!!!!

Glad to hear you're enjoying the sun! I agree with what you said about wanting to run up to pregnant women! I used to feel sad when I saw a pregnant woman..I am ashamed to admit it used to depress me, but now I love seeing those baby bumps!

I've just had a lazy day here in Florida. It's been raining all day so after a quick run to the store, I basically just lounged around all afternoon. My stomach feels heavy with occasional pulling twinges and again last night I had trouble sleeping and felt menstrual-like cramps which always freaks me out....

weekend away was a great idea...were enjoying being a newly married couple away from ivf an ttc stress!!

Hmommy everything sounds good though. Sounds like that little baby is growing. Keep hydrated in that Fla heat. We are getting a heat wave this week here ugh lol.

I had a good day today. Didn't have to take a zofran. Nausea was not too bad. Hope it stays that way. We have a family party to go to tomorrow. Don't want to turn green in front of everyone lol. Hope everyone else is doing well

Omg...that would be my dream!! We can't afford to do ivf again, and sadly, we didn't have any to freeze, so this is our only.
