January & February Beans 2021

Lol the only cakes I like are cheesecake and red velvet so I'm not sure if ill eat any but it'll be nice baking, I haven't done it in a while.
Now if only I could gather the motivation to go to the store.

Also how are you doing sander?

Ooh cake! Lol, I could destroy a cake right now

Doing good over here! I bought this game for the Nintendo Switch called Ring Fit Adventure - it’s like an exercise game. Because of COVID it’s been sold out since March, so I’ve been waiting and watching the stores to catch it when it comes back in stock. Finally on Saturday night it was showing as in stock so I put a reservation in and within an hour they were completely sold out. Anyhow, I picked it up on Sunday and have done a couple workouts with it so far - it’s hard work!!! It’s good though, I didn’t lose as much of the baby weight as I wanted to after #2, so I figure now is as good a time as any to start exercising :headspin: I’ve only done it twice though haha, let’s see if I stick with it :pizza:

Been taking the boys to the park a lot too, Elias asks me to go every day. They’re always deserted!

I booked my 20 week scan too - it’s August 27th. I’ll actually be 22 weeks. Will be glad once that’s done! I always get nervous before the big scans.

That’s sounds like fun Sander! I’m so out of the loop with gaming systems. I had a wi way back when that had an exercise game. I’ve been trying my best to get myself in check eating wise and trying to at least walk. I’ve lost like 2 pounds, which, is ok because I was gaining too much too fast. Dang Turkey sandwiches are to blame! Lol

My birthday is next week and hubby asked what I wanted. I told him I just want to eat some crabs and get an ice cream cake. Usually we go to the beach, but that’s on hold because it’s ridiculously busy down there and lots of outbreaks of the coronavirus. We’re going to see what things are like in a few weeks and maybe go in Sept. It’s still warm and once the kids go back to school it gets a little less crowded.

Random opinion question: what do you fee about placenta capsulation? I didn’t do it with my others, but I read something about it the other day and it intrigued me.

Sander lol I accept that I'm always going to be bigger than I was when I had ds2 even when I've tried to loose weight in the past my lowest I could get down to was 149.

I know I'll end up hitting my heaviest weight during this pregnancy which is something I really dread. My heaviest was when I gave birth to ds1 and I gained 60 lbs that pregnancy.

As of now though I'm still almost 8lbs down from my prepregnancy weight because of the morning sickness and nausea. Im so glad I can eat like a normal person again. Nausea still hits but it doesn't keep me from eating.

Jules, yes to the carbs lol I wish I could go to the beach but like you said there's too many people there. (Even over here on the west coast)

I have head about encapsulation but I've heard mixed reviews.. the hippy/natural side of me says heck yeah, but the medical part of me says no.. I dont think I'll do it but I've heard of lots of people who it worked great for.

Yeah I find the weight gain is tough. I hit right around 200lbs when I delivered both boys. I barely lost any weight after having Emmett - since getting pregnant I dropped 10lbs but would like to lose more. Believe it or not I used to be like 125/130lbs before kids. So the weight gain has been hard for me to process!

Hm Jules I’ve never looked into encapsulation - it’s not really my thing but I’ve heard the same as Lisa, mixed reviews! Maybe someone else in the group knows more about it than I do haha

I was 169 with chance. To be fair though I was 109 before and I was only 14 when I got pregnant. Lol thanks to a cool teen metabolism I lost all the weight. Then with collin I went from 125 to 145. Then breastfed him for almost three years and lucky me I was one of those people that doesnt loose weight while breastfeeding and actually gained weight. So I hit 165. Then tried to loose weight before getting pregnant again but my body really likes the 150s range. I've learned to accept I'll never be 125-135 again  I got to 149 before covid started and then being stuck at home I gained back all 15 lbs and found out I was pregnant.... so thats where I'm at lol. I just wait to try and keep the gain under control this time like I was able to last time.

Ugh guys ten year olds are no fun. I wanted to go to the park and play in the water today but all he wants to do is play video games. And of course hubby said yes before I could say no. So now I'm just sitting here. I know he's gonna be "too old" to go to the park with me before I know it but come onnnnn. Im probably also overly emotional about it because of pregnancy hormones. Oh well I guess its his day.

Wow Lisa that must have been scary to find out that you were pregnant at 14! It must be an emotional day for you today, 10 years old! Sorry he didn’t want to go out with you, hopefully you still got to share a special moment with him :)

It actually wasn't scary being pregnant. The scary part was telling my parents. The day was actually great, the boys and I played games they helped me make a cake. We had panda express for dinner (birthday person always chooses dinner in our house) he got calls from lots of the family. Im still in disbelief that this is my last year with an elementary kiddo and that next year he'll be in middle school and then comes teen years. I never imagined how fast it would all go by.

What’s everyone at for dates now? I just hit 19 weeks yesterday! Unreal how fast it’s going

14w4d.... still in this weird stage where I don't 'feel' pregnant most of the time. No real symptoms. The occasional dry heave to remind me that I am in fact pregnant. Just trying to patiently wait for my appointment on Wednesday and camping Thursday!

I’ll be 17 weeks on Monday. The days are long, but the weeks are going fast. I was telling my husband today that baby will be here in 5 months and this time next year they’ll already be starting to crawl...that doesn’t seem so far away at all. I’m trying my best to enjoy being pregnant one last time.

I feel the opposite lol I feel like every day and week seems to be dragging since I hit 12 weeks. I've also been dead tired like every day. There was a span of like 3 days where I had energy but I have been sleeping like 9 hours at night and then taking a 2-3 hour nap during the day. Im gonna ask my provider to check my iron when I go in next. I switched to iron free prenatals a while ago (not knowingly lol I just got the gummy version instead of pill not realizing it was different)

It kind of makes me sad to think about it in that way! Little chubby cheeks and a crawling little one. Its been so long since I've had a tiny baby. I dont want it to go by too fast.

I’ve been so tired and hormonal this past week! Lol I’m also just feeling super sappy because Lulu is about to turn 2. Last year at this time she had no hair and was toddling everywhere, now she’s talking up a storm and keeping up with her big sister.

Lisa - did you get the first response prenatals? I loved them but didn’t know they had no iron!! I had to switch back to my old brand cause I need the iron, lol.

Jules - it’s so emotional when their birthdays are coming up. My son turns 1 in a couple months, it’s absolutely flown by. I tend to enjoy them more as they grow though - I remember with my older son when he turned 1 I was like hey - you’re fun now! Haha. Then as they hit 2+ I found it even easier as they weren’t so tied to nap/bedtime schedules etc. Like they’re still on a schedule, but if you have a late night or a missed nap from time to time the world doesn’t end :haha:

Sander,
No its the same brand I usually get but just in gummy form. Im actually thinking of finding a different brand though to see what else is out there, especially since this bottles almost gone.. Plus I follow this obgyn and shes been posting studies that show most people can't absorb folic acid properly and that its more easily absorbed in l-methylfolate form. So I wanna try and find something with that in it instead.

Jules,
I can understand that lol. I dont even want to think about this little ones first birthday. I'll probably be a hot mess knowing it'll be the last first birthday I'll get to experience. Even now when the boys hit big milestones like Chance hitting ten I felt all emotional. Its hard to think that I dont get that much more time of him living with me before he really becomes his own person and would rather be anywhere but home. :sad2::sad2: I really am dreading the teenage years.

Hi Jules, good how are you? :)

It hasn’t been as hot here lately which is nice. We are STILL working on this ceiling with no end in sight, lol. We’re also trying to work out what to do with our car as it’s a small sedan and we’re going to have a hard time with 3 car seats. Trying to work it out with the dealer to see if we can trade ours in for an older minivan with a similar payment schedule. We just bought a new car in January 2018, we weren’t expecting to have so many kids so soon haha.

Hey jules, just sitting here waiting to get called back for my appointment.

Anyone else do that thing where you know the ob is gonna ask for a urine sample but you still pee before you leave the house anyways? Yeah.. I do, every time.

Sander, I hope you guys can get something figured out with the car! We just bought a truck last year so that'll be our everyone fits vehicle. Lol no way everyone would fit in my car.

Genetic testing all came back normal. No ultrasound today. ](*,)Was seriously hoping for one so I could find out if it really is a boy lol guess we're waiting until 20 weeks though.

I’m good. This has just been an annoying week. Lol So glad tomorrow is Friday and excited for my appointment on Monday! Since I’m not feeling much and haven’t had a check up in a while, I’m excited to at least get to hear him on the doppler. Also, a week later is the anatomy scan and I’m so excited to get the for sure it’s a boy! Even with my girls I questioned it...I have a small fear I would tell everyone one gender then it be wrong. Lol

Sander- Is e have an SUV and I’m still trying to figure out how to get 3 car seats in there and how do I place them? Emma is forward facing so I don’t want her in the middle, but she can get in/out independently and has the smallest seat. I guess we’ll have to do a mock car seat test to see. Lol Good luck with those ceilings. Home projects always seem fun in the beginning then turns to a nightmare. HGTV makes it all look so easy!

Lisa- I’m glad all the genetic testing came back good! 20 weeks isn’t that far away. I always end up forgetting about the sample and pee when I get there. It’s like the grocery store, as soon as I walk in I have to go. Haha!
