Johnsons Baby products

i used j&j products on my son(hes 8 now) he never had any problems with it and ive been using them with olivia since birth and she is fine with them as well xx

They're only "bad" because they're perfumed, and therefore can dry baby's skin out. But if your LO's skin is okay with Johnsons, then keep using it. If the products weren't safe to use, or were going to harm your baby, they would not be on the shelves. We use Johnsons baby wipes, baby oil, shampoo and body lotion and they're all fine. The only thing we had a problem was the baby bath, because that dried out her skin, so now we just use water on it's own, and lather her in baby lotion afterwards, and she's absolutely fine :)

We use the bedtime bath, but as others have said - the shampoo makes her skin on her head dry (not quite cradle cap but dry all the same).
Were using a mothercare shampoo, still not even halfway thru the bottle and it seems to agree with her head.

I use the lotion, baby bath, shampoo and the wipes and my LO is fine with them. I think it depends on their skin x

I guess, but why wait to see if it bother's your LO's skin when there are gentler things out there that you know will not.

here's another one: https://www.usatoday.com/news/health/2009-03-12-formaldehyde_N.htm

Ok so the amount of formaldehyde is small and may not show signs of affecting EVERY baby (yet) but is that a good enough reason not to choose to use something without any formaldehyde?

We use Johnsons products. Never had a problem, so shall continue to do so!

I have always used the johnsons bedtime range (bubble bath softwash and oil) because i really do feel it calm my LO down and helps him sleep better! My LO has sever exzema as well and the range hasnt upset or made it worse in anywhay!

I love the bedtime bath one it smells so lovely and I think it calms my LO down too, hes always super sleepy and ready for beddybyes after his bath when we use it hehe!

Ahh don't worry love, I have always used Johnsons shampoo, baby power head to toe was and did use the baby bath bubbles but Keira has eczema so we use a different bubble bath now to help ease the dry skin... all work fine and no reactions, your not doing anything bad love, all bath produces have roughly the same ingredients, if it was so bad it wouldn't be so popular xx

.....

if you stayed away from every chemical the your LO couldnt wear clothes, eat alot of foods, use paints, crayons, nappies, wipes......

You cant worry about everything. There are worse things you can do to your kids then using johnsons bloody baby lotion

Of course there are worse things, but the OP asked about Johnson's baby products.
And yes, many things are now being revealed to have a hand in causing cancer. Soooo logic to me says if you can, limit those possibilities.

I have used J&J on my lo the whole time and she has not had any probs with it. I think its just different skin suits different products use whats best for your LO

Yes im well aware of what the OP said and i was saying not to worry

Both Mollie and Katie are allergic to the baby wipes but Katie has the Bedtime bath and lotion and we have had no probs.

V xxx

I just think it is ridiculous, you can't step out your front door now without someone saying watch that it causes cancer.... what I mean Johnsons is used all over the world and is a very popular bath produced, the percentage to the people who don't use it and the people that do is a great difference, a lot more people use it.

I have to agree you cant do anything without it "maybe causing cancer" its madness you can't live like that.

so just because a lot of people use it that means it's not ok to answer the OPs question and add my opinion and point out other possibilities of products?

:dohh: indeed! my answer was neither rude, neither condemning of ANYONE who uses johnson's products. the fact that many of you have basically insinuated that what i'm saying is ridiculous is just sad.
