Kate McCann releasing a book...

But how would they be able to get rid of her body in such a short space of time, and then calmly go back and sit with their friends? I just dont know what to think tbh

I think I read that she didnt go to the beach that day along with everyone else hun, staying with one parent. One of their friends claimed he came into the apartment and saw the three children before bed, but Kate herself said that she sent him away without ever entering the apartment. I think the last time any one other than the parents saw her alive was either breakfast or the night before, if Kate's account of sending him away is true.

I am just going to check all of the above though.

Its all very confusing and sad isnt it :nope: Have just read the '50 things' thing someone posted and its no wonder the poor little girl hasnt been found, either way, with all the conflicting reports and statements people have given, is it.

15. The McCanns have said that at this tea-time, they asked Madeleine if she was upset at not having been asked to the beach with all of the other families in their group that day? Why did they ask Madeleine this when, in fact, as they and their friends have said elsewhere, the others did ask the McCanns to join them and the McCanns declined?

17. Kate McCann said that her friend Dr David Payne knocked on the front door of the McCanns’ apartment at about 6.30pm on 3 May, but was immediately sent away without ever entering. Dr Payne, however, said he came in, saw all three children dressed, all in white nightwear, ready for bed, and stayed for at least several minutes. What is the truth? Dr Kate McCann said she was dressed only in a towel; Dr Payne implied she was fully dressed. Again, what is the truth about this matter?

So I dont think she was actually seen for quite some time by others.

I read the 50 things too (the above is part of the 163 questions), and the one thing that stood out to me was the fact that Kate refused to answer all 43 or 48 (cant remember which it was) questions asked to her by the police, now whilst I know she is well within her rights to do so, as a parent would you not be as cooperative as possible, answer every question that you can, in the hope it helps?

I dont usually like or agree with conspiracies but

I know its all very odd. I think i will get the book. Is it out now?

12th May, Madeline's 8th birthday

8th  woah. that's so shocking, i didn't think she'd be that old already x

I just don't know what to think about it all. From the very start, there have been huge errors, discrepancies and conflicting stories....I don't think even the McCanns will know what is the truth and what is lies anymore.

Just an interesting tidbit - I find it incredibly interesting that some people have said to even leave your child for a minute is neglect and they deserve to feel guilty, yet, those same people were on the Venables thread but didn't blame James' mother for turning her back on him playing at the shop door. Just an observation. I won't be buying the book but I also won't be buying into conspiracy theories either. Want to see a woman guilty of an "accident" when her child was supposedly missing? Look up Casey Anthony. That is the face of a guilty woman, not Kate Mccan.

Haven't seen anyone say leaving your child for a minute is neglect. Leaving your CHILDREN in an apartment whilst you go out for a meal - is neglect.

I really don't get it - those of you who are saying along the line of 'the parents are paying the ultimate price & have to live a life of guilt & that's an awful punishment etc'

What puinishment do you suggest that should have for leaving their 3 children alone & in danger? Do you think they should (obviously in theory) be able to wipe clean their concience & take away that guilt & forget it ever happened?
I genuinely can't understand everyone's reasoning in saying we should feel sorry for them feeling guilty?? THEY SHOULD FEEL GUILT.

Please remember these are not uneductaed, niave people. As a GP the mother would have come in to contact with people from all walks of life and dealt with a whole manner of accidents that should have broadened her mind to the whole range of possible problems/accidents & more that could happen/do happen when children are left alone for any period of time!

Agghhh, it's so frustrating. That girl disappeared due to her parents neglect. It's that simple!

Ermm I did read that 50 facts and dare I say that it's a conspiracy theory - look up JFK, Princess Diana, 9/11, Lisa straub, Casey Anthony, I could go on. They will have similar pages because unfortunately all storiea have discrepansies, doesn't make it true.

I never said feel sorry for them. I never said they shouldn't feel guilt but I did say i don't think Kate Mccan has the face of someone guilty of accidently, or even intentionally, murdering their child.

But if it was an accident how would the parents as holiday makers know what to do with the body and why did no one looking find it.

It wasnt menioned in the press this year, i forgot all bout it.

V xxx

About the day she went missing V? I saw a small bit on it, but not like usual but then Osama Bin Laden had just been killed, so I guess we wouldnt.

It wasn't in the press this year because of the Royal Wedding and then Osama....it's sad that she can be so easily forgotten in favour of more 'exciting' news stories :grr:

I dunno if she wasnt seen all day they had a day to drive out somewhere and its horrible to think but throw something in the sea and odds are its not going to turn up :(

Im not usually into conspiracy theories but there has always been something fishy about the McCanns

They lied or made "mistakes" alot which slowed the process down which seems suspicious

i think its very suspicious, im not sure what went on but theres deffinatly something not right about the way the mccans reacted. very sad :(

Even the friends testified both the Mccans regularly went to check on their children. I'm not condoning what they did but the righteous attitude of some people is getting on my wick. Like someone mentioned earlier some parents go in to 'holiday mode'. They must of felt they were on a secure family resort. Yes, they made a mistake because they are human afterall, but I doubt they were thinking that someone would break in and steal their child. And a side note to whoever said why didn't they take the others - carrying 3 children away or even just the 2 is going to get a whole lot more attention than just taking one. Kids go missing all the time. Parents who let their kids walk home on their oen or up the road to play and they never come home. Does that make them evil murderers covering up their crime? Nope, it makes them human.

Yes the friends testified but they all, at least once, changed there stories regarding who checked on them and how many times. How can you in any way think there is anything "secure" about leaving 3 very young children in a room alone to then go 120yds away and have a meal, completely out of site of your apartment?? Yes accidents do happen and every parent makes mistakes but to make a conscious decision to leave those 3 children alone is very different and i think its very narrow minded to think otherwise. Yes people go into "holiday mode" but does that give you the right to abandon all responsibilities as a parent. no!

I'm not narrow minded at all I actually look at the bigger picture. As humans we are prone to make mistakes and bad choices. Excuse me for using it as an example and I'm aware it's not the same, but, there are parents that leave their children unattended when they go to play, or walk just a few minutes up the road and there are parents that put their children in the car, drive straight to work and forget about them. And they die. It's horrible but it's too easy to make mistakes in this life because sometimes stress makes us forget about risks. I dunno I just don't believe they should be condemned so fast. Noone knows what happened and smart or not they're human. I can't see their friends covering for them if they did somethin to her and as for all the accounts, I'd assume when you're constantly being grilled and accused you perhaps will forget or remember something differently. Portugese police are notorious for being lax at investigation but quick to accuse anyone and anything.

Wow! There are a lot of perfect Mothers on here!
Would any of you judge Sara Payne for letting her little girl Sarah go out to play in a field?
How about Casey Mullen? She was at home and her uncle murdered her with her Mum downstairs.
My point is that be your child at home in your arms or in another room, house anywhere.. things can happen. You cannot watch your child at all times.
Yes, Madeleine was left unattended .. a lot of children are. I have been wondering what it may be like for Kate to perhaps stumble across these posts, after all she is a Mum and may already be a member on here! I cant imagine the sheer agony of reading such uncaring, judgemental posts.
I have said before and I will say again... NO ONE can punish themselves more than they already do.
As a parent you can be distracted, tired, frustrated, even just simply switch off and not think about the consequences. We are only human.. being a Mum does not suddenly make you perfect.
I think that just maybe some people on here should just take a step back and just imagine for one second what this family have and are still going through.
